First-time customer. Came here on a Monday morning for the great "friendly and accommodating" service as I needed a last min alteration request by EOD Wednesday. She hesitated a bit but still took my request. I called Wed 6 pm before they closed to see if it was ready. Left a vm, and I got no response. I get a text on Thurs, but I'm already out of town. When I came to pick it my order after the weekend, the lady tells me it was my responsibility to physically come in on Wed and check myself. No apologies. No consolation for not meeting my request. We didn't want the stains to set in, so I went in two days after the event to Rosewood. It's a very convenient location, across the street from Trader Joes and in the same plaza as 99 Ranch. I used their first time customer coupon of 20% off. There was some resistance to it at first, but the employee gave it to me. I had to attend a meeting and my regular uniform shirt was looking a bit tired. I had a spare uniform shirt but hadn't had time to have my name tape sewn on. I looked on yelp and saw that Rosewood Cleaners could do minor repairs. I had time, so I drove by. When I went inside, there were no customers and one employee working in the back. She had a radio on for background noise but it was not excessively loud. After waiting for a couple of minutes with quiet hellos, I finally raised my voice and startled her. I tried not to but you know how that goes. She came out and I asked if she could sew on a name tape for me. She told me to show her the shirt and the tape first. She looked at them and asked me how I wanted the tape mounted. Different agencies can have different policies on how to center the tape to the pocket, how high over the pocket, etc. After I showed her, she asked when I wanted it. I gulped and asked her if she could do it right now? Please? I wouldn't want to say that she gave me a dirty look but I don't think it was the answer that she wanted to hear. Yet, she went straight to the sewing machine and started selecting the thread. I stepped outside before she could grab a pair of scissors to throw at me. When she was done, she called me inside, showed me her work to make sure that I was satisfied. I told yes, thank you and how much? She did not hesitate and said $12. The place where I have my uniform pants hemmed charges $15 a pair and it takes a week. $12 for instant service was more than reasonable. Thank you Rosewood Cleaners for taking care of me.
