I rarely write negative reviews, but this experience has been so unbelievably awful that I feel obligated to warn everyone to stay FAR away from this business. We were customers for almost 10 years, and ever since the new woman took over, this place has become an absolute disaster. The level of incompetence is mind-blowing. She has destroyed COUNTLESS pieces of my husband's clothing - expensive, high-quality, dry-clean-only items that were BRAND NEW and perfectly fine before being brought here. We would pick up his shirts only to discover they had shrunk so badly they barely covered his stomach. It's beyond unacceptable. She also refuses to take any accountability. Despite ruining nearly every item he brought in (except for a few button-ups), she denies doing anything wrong and acts as though the damage is somehow normal, suggesting we should get reimbursed from the store! FOR CLOTHING SHE CLEARLY SHRUNK! She has completely destroyed my husband's wardrobe and cost us thousands and thousands of dollars in ruined clothing. If you value your clothes at all, especially designer, delicate, or expensive pieces, DO NOT bring them here!!! This woman is not qualified to handle quality garments, and has no professional training in garment care whatsoever. I will never step foot in this business again, and I strongly recommend that nobody else does either. read more

This place has a new owner. a woman - used to be owned by a very nice gentleman who did a wonderful job. This woman not only does a horrible job but is fairly rude. She has shrunk 3 of my garments - silk, expensive. I asked her about it, and she assured me they do not shrink clothes. She has ruined my favorite blouse and favorite pants. I will not be going back to her. I would suggest staying away, and she is expensive on top of it. Looking for a new cleaner. read more

For the past 7 years, we have been getting our dry cleaning and alterations done at this location. They are able to work with me and my requests about alterations: Halloween costumes, adding pockets to a sweatshirt dress, cloak/hood adjustment, adding patches to band shirts, shortening sleeves, etc. The clothes always look great and fit exactly! I go to a lot of festivals and my outfits are customized and fit perfect with the alterations. I love to collect work clothes for my wardrobe and appreciate how they are cleaned, it has made them last for years. Small Mom-and-Pop shops are important to support and this business should be frequented more by Pleasanton residents. read more

I always come to this dry cleaners next to Raleys ever since I have moved to the city of Pleasanton. This dry cleaners is owned by this Korean couple. They are always very friendly and I trust them with my clothes. I have tried other dry cleaners that tried to be sneaky and "forget" a couple of my clothing. This place has been around for a long time and I am glad that they are very honest people. The pricing here are on the expensive end but it reflects their work. My clothes need a lot of tlc so I always dry clean them. Don't hesitate to bring your dry clean here and try! read more

This is a family run business that does a pretty decent job cleaning and doing alterations. During the summer they put their kids to work - helping out at the register, which is kind of cute. The people there are always very friendly, and will help you carry things in and out to the car. For six bucks I revived a Prada purse that was on it's way to the Salvation army. Hooray for that. I have had my pants hemmed here, as well as other alterations, and never any problem. A bit pricey, but always done right. read more

I tried oak hills cleaners after reading the great reviews on yelp. My experience has been atrocious! They lost a bunch of buttons from my shirts, found a couple of pants with small holes after cleaning that were not there before, and one day when I went to pick up my stuff they gave me back a shirt with a totally shredded sleeve. They told me it was like that when I took it in, which it was absolutely not, I'm pretty sure I would have caught that when I dropped it off or someone at work would have told me that my sleeve just exploded and I had a 5 inch hole with a bunch of hanging pieces. They also tried to charge me twice a couple of times. Thanks god I kept the receipt. Never going there again !!! read more

A couple of months ago, I dropped off a Cal King comforter to get dry cleaned. A week and a half later, I was informed that they had lost the comforter. So, you're asking why the 5 stars? Good thing that the comforter wasn't my favorite thing in the world. I can see how devastated/angry someone can get if let's say they lost your $2,000 suit or vintage Chanel jacket. The owner said to come back and if they still do not have it that he will reimburse me for the whole set. I was surprised because this was a Cal King set. They do not come cheap. A week later, my brother came back to ask and they still couldn't find it. He told him that I can go ahead and buy a new set. All I needed to do was bring in the receipt and he will write me a check. Even though, I did lose a new comforter, I was very satisfied with how the owner handled the situation. Thank you for being so professional! read more

I've been going to them for a few years now. Never had problems with them. They are very nice people and are always on time with my clothes. I've never tried there alterations but if it is as good as there cleaning, I wouldn't be surprised. I have no reason to go anywhere else. I think you have to spend $20 or more if you want to use a debit card. read more

I moved to Pleasanton in September, 2012 and found this great business soon after. They are very professional, prompt, and have no hidden fees or surprises. The clothing always comes back nicely cleaned and pressed, which should never be a surprise, right? I like the notion that the owner is there most days. The couple that own and manage this dry cleaner are so kind and I've never had any issues with missing clothing, damage, or delay. The quality of the work is excellent and the pricing is pretty typical. The service is what I really commend. They work hard but are still pleasant and accommodating. I used to go to another Dry Cleaner around the corner from my house. I don't have a lot of dress clothes and sometimes need them cleaned on a quick turnaround. The old cleaner used to complain about one day cleaning requests. They advertised "In by 11am, out same day!" The owner actually explained the dry cleaning schedule and said no black clothes were done on Friday, etc. Don't advertise it in the window, then. Or say "Except Friday." Anyway, this review about Oak Hills is a great one. I came here hoping I'd have a better experience and drive a little further to get to them. They have my business because they are kind and patient. The husband especially is very friendly. The wife got much friendlier as I became a regular customer. I said: "You guys are so nice, thank you for that." She said: "Mostly my husband," and laughed. She's friendly, just maybe not as outgoing. I like them, nice people that do honest business. Thumbs up. read more

Really disappointed in their customer service. Too long of a story to explain, but basically they charged me way too much to take in my dress and told me that there wasn't anything they could do to get the bust to fit me better. Their seamstress told me it was "my problem" and that I needed to use tape and to stuff my bust area to get it to fit. I will never go back there again. I should have found a professional dress tailor in the first place but I never had issues with tailors I've used at other dry cleaners before. I went there because it was close and being I moved here not too long ago, it seemed like an easy choice. I thought it would be convenient, but instead they just wasted my time. I took the dress to a dress tailor who is fixing the issue for me no problem and who told me they charged me way too much to take the waist in. In the end, they were rude, unfriendly and not deserving of anymore of my service. read more
