My brother hired movers for me and it took four hours & $600 to move within the same compkex from a studio apartment with 3 guys. I was also left to put my bed together myself and I have damages to my property & they scratched my brand new apartment floor. The gentleman where also late. Definitely on of the worst moving companies and scammers out there. I had them do a complete pick up and move in June. My boyfriend passed away next to me In my bed a few days Prior. So understandable I did not want to be in my apartment and pack my things myself. They told be 800 at first and then ended up charging me almost 1,600. Come to find out when moving back in. MANY of my things had been STOLEN and damaged. PLEASE Don't use this company. They are crooked and made my situation worse then before, scamming me in a time of hurt and unimaginable loss. They were rude, showed up 2 1/2 hours late, took there time and were inconsiderate that I had just lost someone so close to me in my life. If I could give them zero stars I would. I used this company for a move and I then referred my 78 and 80 year old aunts to them for a move. So from my 1 move they received 2 referrals. My Aunt was moving into another retirement village. When the movers arrived the truck was so small they could not even pack the living room in the small truck. They had to make 2 trips (for a 700 sq ft apt) because they didn't bring the right size truck they charged my Aunt who is on a fixed income 800 for less than 6 miles. She called the owner Chante and she admitted that she was out of larger trucks and just sent what she had. No excuse! If you don't have the inventory don't book the move! Do not use this company. They will bait and switch!! I had my Aunt use them instead of All My Sons. Lesson learned. My other Aunt who will move this weekend canceled her move and used All Mu Sons. Dear IRS. I was cotracted with 5 Star Mover from MA to LA for FULL SERVICE. They are the worst ever in my life of kind of moving company. 1. Do not keep schedule correctly. Intead of going to pickup as schedule in Feb 21 2023. They suddenly request to pick up in Feb 20 2023 (President day). It forced us to reschedule all other even and going out to wait for thir pick up. 2. Thre promissed maximum the time frame for deliver is within 3 weeks (15 bussiness days) from the pick up day. However, it took more than a month with a lot of calls to them in order to get this work. 3. When it comming to deliver. Instead of deliver into my home. The driver stoped 300m away from my home in the corner of a near by street and require us $300 extra charge to deliver into my house. He stated the his truck cannot fit into the street. However, the fact is that street comfortablely for any bigest BUS size and Truck. 4. As a reasult We denied to pay extra $300.00 to such service and finally they dumped all my moving stuffs on the corner of that street. This force us to move our self all stuff including mattress, desk, office chairs, closthes drawers into the new home. As a reason of this I my self got a lot minor bruses and hurt my shoulder. 5. After then we discovered that one of our expensive office chair was damage: the screws that connect the arm th the chair was bent and it forced me to buy tool to ectract the broken screws and replace them. I needed to move on short notice, and my regular movers were unavailable. I just moved in October using 2 great guys from a reputable moving company. NOT THIS ONE. 5 Star is anything but. I decided to pay more and hire 3 guys, but it was a TOTAL disaster. Here's why: I paid $80 deposit with a card at booking. I was told a window of 12-3 which changed to 5:30-6. I had to call Shantay to see when if they were coming. She is unprofessional. The "excuse" was that they were caught up by an elevator in earlier moves. When movers arrived, a young boy was in converse, another was brand new, and the other guy, Martin, was concerned about getting paid. He took his time and so did the boys. The elevator "excuse" started coming up. Mind you, I reserved the elevator and NO ONE was moving at my place. So what should've been a 3-4 hour deal turned out to be 7-8 hours. Here's the worst, they left my items outside of storage! They didn't finish the job. I got scammed. Martin took my funds and negated their part of contract. Worst move possible. SLOW MOVERS AND EVEN WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY WOULD NOT LET ME PAY With my CREDIT CARD. THEY SAID THE CREDIT CARD WAS DOWN. CASH ONLY. Sounds like bologna!! Worst movers I have ever used. What a nightmare. Let's start with that I told them I reserved the elevator controls at 8am-10, then the other building from 10-12. I was organized and had everything ready for the movers. The furniture was taken apart (tables, bed, sectional) table was already bubble wrapped and washer and dryer we disconnected ready for transport. I moved the night stands and a small chair to the living room then the bed takes apart on its side in the bedroom. This was a snatch and grab operation ready to move out at 0800. That was scheduled at 8 o'clock in the morning. When they didn't show up the company called up at 10 o'clock saying that the drivers on the way to the pick up address got pulled over and TAKEN TO JAIL FOR MULTIPLE WARRANTS. That makes me extremely uncomfortable from the start. The new crew arrived at 11:30am which made us miss the elevator control time. The new last minute crew which I've nicked name (OLD AND SHORT. Hispanic bunch and only 1 spoke English ) came in and looked at the rooms (1 bedroom,1 bath 700 sqft apartment) we let them get to work and went and dropped off our 3 flat screen tvs to our new apartment which is just around the corner from our old apt. We picked up our keys and dropped the tvs and came back to the old apartment right at a hour time. The movers had only packed my mattress/box springs and night stands. Needless to say with out us there they took their sweet time. It took them 2.5 hours to pack up the whole apartment. It's a 20 second walk at the old place to the service elevator which was right in front of the loading area. I called the apartment service and talk to shante and told her that they were very slow and there's no way that it should take that long. She called the drivers and made a bunch of excuses which were all false saying the elevators were slow and the walk to to elevators. The new apartment is 2 lights away. By google maps it's 0.5 or a 3 min drive. From the loading zone to my new apartment there is a longer hall way but a super fast elevator. "Short" the mover would move in 3 boxs at a time on a huge dolly. I called and talk to the office again about the speed and loads he was bringing in. Needless to say it helped because they unloaded the truck at a slightly higher speed and they were finished in 2 hours. We noticed when we were reconnecting the washer and dryer (which they moved into place) that the washer had been dented in the transport. They take no responsibility for a 1500 washer they just dented. Shante was calling us but she was in a loud environment (she was at a party) so the moving owner or supervisor had called us and only gave us a discount of 40 dollars. Because of their tardiness I had to pay a 75 dollar fee to my old apartment because I was not ready to vacate the apartment by the end of the Business day 5pm because I had to go back and clean the floors from the move. Would have never happen if the movers were on time and hustled to complete the move in a timely manner. I emailed 5star been showing them pictures of the apt packed and ready to move, and a video 23 seconds long long showing of the hallways and loading zone they had a travel to the elevator. evidence that what they were saying is false. It would have been faster if they were on time. The movers got called in on their day off and milked the clock. All they gave me was a lame excuses and bad customer service!!! Worst company ever. Moving is a frustrating process in itself and 5 Star Movers made it absolutely miserable. I was confirmed movers to be at my apartment between 4 and 7 p.m. I called around 5 p.m. to see if I could get an updated time and I was advised they would arrive closer to the 7 p.m. timeframe. Called back at 7 p.m. and was advised the movers were backed up and it would not be until around 10 p.m. that evening. The representative (Shante?) asked if I was willing to let them come the following morning (Sunday), and that I would be the first apartment between 8 and 10 a.m. I called at 9:30 a.m. as I had not heard from anyone at 5 Star. The same representative told me the slot was between 8 and 10. I waited until 10 a.m. and called the representative back and she stated she could not get ahold of the movers; giving excuses that they had a late night. I let her know that I needed to be out of the apartment by today and she promised me movers the previous day and that morning and failed to deliver. Informed her that we had basically moved everything except the larger pieces and asked if she could at least provide one man and a truck and we would assist. Two men finally showed up almost 24 hours after my original time. The men advised us of the price, which was barely discounted ($50), and we spoke with the representative and asked for a more discounted rate for everything we went through. The representative became rude and was unwilling to come to an agreement with us, very unprofessional. At this point, I just needed to be moved so my family of four helped the two movers. We moved the majority of the items. Also, a box of my kitchen appliances are missing and the movers lost bolts and screws needed to assemble my furniture. All in all, if you value your time, belongings, and money - do not choose 5 Star Movers. I take some of the blame because I did not read the Google reviews. It is very apparent after reading 5 Stars correspondences to other customer complaints that they do not care about customer service whatsoever. CONSUMER BEWARE!!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! They will steal and break your items and then will not replace or pay for the items. The movers they sent to move my items one looked like a Drug Addict with all of his front teeth missing, and the manager was a fat slob (Martin) that lied and tried to slam my front door after leaving because he was mad that I told them that they were trying to nickel and dime me. They stole my firestick and lost the water cup to my hair steamer that I can no longer use without the water cup. I had to replace my hair steamer which cost me $250. They also broke my night stand drawer, as well as my office desk. They also did not move all of my items and they did not reassemble my bed, because they lost the screws to my headboard and left my headboard at the other apartment. They left their trash in my new place, and when I reached out to the so-called Manager or whatever she is (Chantel). I was told that they are employee owned and it would take 90 days for them to make a decision on the claim. I waited the 90 days only to be told that they would pay me $50 for the desk, but nothing for the other items that they either stole, lost or damaged. I used another company the next day to move the rest of my items and they did a GREAT job. My advice to anyone thinking about using this company is DO NOT USE THEM, THEY ARE TRASH!!! They claim to be the lowest priced moving company in the DFW area, but when they finish with all of the nickel and dime, you should just pay more and have the job done right. It's been a year but I ran across my paperwork and remembered the AWFUL customer service. I had 2 guys to come move me. On the day AFTER my scheduled move. They were schedule to arrive at 7:00 pm. They called me at 5:00 and said they finished with a job early, so they would like to come early. My daughter was home so I allowed it. When I got home about 6:15 the house was almost packed and on the truck. The few items that had not been packed were thrown in a box and moved outside. I stepped outside to see how much room was left on the truck, there was not any logical sense as to how that truck was packed. But you get what you pay for, they were cheaper than a few places I called and at the end of the day it showed. We arrived at my new house. When the tall slender guy pulled one of the boxes out and suddenly everything was on the ground in the street... I just tried to not scream. The doors to my stainless steel refrigerator could not be replaced until the next day because apparently the shorter guy has broken the screw and I (not the company) would have to go purchase a new one to have the handle re-attached. The next day (at this point 5 star is .5 star) the guy comes over dressed to hang out and asking did I smoke. I have never been so glad my fiancé was home! Creepy! He attached the handle quickly after he realized I wasn't alone. It wasn't until after he left I notice he scratched the refrigerator with the Allen wrench. I texted the owner the next day. Horrible customer service. Slowest movers I have ever had. After not showing up the first day we had them scheduled, we rescheduled for the next day at 4. I had to leave work early and they didn't show up until 630 then took 4 hours to pack up a 2 bedroom 1st floor apartment. They didn't move everything I had, so I'm still having to do 5 trips to get the rest of my stuff. I left the same time they did and it took them an extra 30 minutes to get to my new apartment. They didn't finish until 2 A.M. No discount or deal was given...they actually denied my complaints when I asked for one. Tried to say I had to pay cash but I only had a credit card that I could pay $800 with so they "LET" me. Never again will I use them. read more

This company is owned by a bunch of liars and thieves. This company was contracted through U Move Free. This was the worst moving experience of my life. To make a long story short. A 2.5 hour move took 5 hours with 3 guys. They never worked all at the same time. While 1 or 2 we're working the other would be hanging around the truck. They tracked mud all throughout the apartment from mud caked wheels on the dollie and claimed that they could not help it. They are not the first moving company to move after a rain. They didn't wrap any furniture which they were supposed to. They dropped and broke my washer and a piece from the inside was on the stair landing that I asked them about and they told me it came off my washer. They carried my unprotected cream chairs on their sweaty head and soiled them with mud, dirty hand prints and sweat. The chairs literally have 3 large sweat stains on them (1 on the seat cushion, 1 on each arm rest). This is the grosses, most unsanitary thing ever. They would make me make payments over the phone every hour to continue the move. This move went on until midnight. Then they kicked all their water bottles and cups out of the truck I to the parking lot. Also they left a stack of paper towels out side my door, dirty ones in front of my neighbor's door and littered the parking lot with them also. I called the owner the. Ext day and informed them of the move. The owner told me that his guys told him that I was complaining about mud and sweat on my furniture. As if I was wrong to. Then I was told " if you care like that, you shouldn't be moving". I opened a claim and after 12+ emails, receipt and pictures my claim was denied. Unsurprisingly, This is their common practice. Damage your belongings overcharge you, make you wait 90 days, deny your claim and attempt to discredit you. The audacity and disrespect that this company shows to it's customers is unbelievable. This is by far the worst moving company ever. They prey upon and take advantage of people's vulnerability when moving. They need to be put out of business. I would totally hire these guys again. I scheduled a 2 bedroom apartment move from Plano to Dallas. There were three men and a very large truck. They got me moved out and moved in within 1.5 hours (travel time from Plano to Dallas included). I had ZERO issues and no damage. Great job! read more

Worse movers ever...scheduled an early move they arrived an hour late...i moved half of my furniture the day before so they didn't have much to do...can I say the slowest movers and on top of that my expensive dresser has damaged now...they put items inside of the truck that had a trailer attached to it. I will never use this company for anything. Then he had to stop and get gas. I supplied them with water. My son and I ended up helping because we didn't have all day. Great team that moved my house from Garland to SW Ft Worth. They were patient and careful with my belongings. In addition, when their initial quoted time was up, they were flexible in adding more time to help me move my boxes where they belonged. They also came through when our initial moving company failed to deliver on their promise (Compton Movers); and they were there the next day at the time they said they would be there. Had used 5 Star three times previous to my move yesterday. I guess their policies have changed, as I was very pleased the first three times. The workers arrived and rang the doorbell at 10:10 am. Upon arrival they asked to see all the things that were needing to be moved. That took about another five to ten minutes. They worked diligent and hard and cleared the house right at an hour. After driving to the new house, we had to wait to get the garage door open. They were asked to unload the truck and just put the things in front of the garage since time was still going. They did not want to, but when my mother started taking boxes off the truck they agreed. After the garage was open they continued to work. Around 1:00 pm one worker was still taking the last things off the truck while the other started to fold towels and sweep the truck (while the clock was still running). At 1:11 pm my dad removed the last item off the truck, my deep freezer, since the other was still sweeping. At 1:20 pm we were on the phone to make payment. Asked for all the paperwork to show start and stop times and was told, "We will just email it to you." We were charged for 3.5 hours, but should have only been three from my calculations. Tried calling and was told he would look into it an call me RIGHT back. After two hours, I called him back. He said I should have received the email, in which I had not. Another two hours later I received the email. I was charged from 10:03 am (the time they called and said they were pulling up) to 1:38 pm (I guess that is the time they were pulling off, even though payment had already been made). I called and emailed them to inquire about why, and have yet to receive a response from anyone. All I was told is the printer was down so they didn't have any paperwork. So, unless you want to "Take there word" on what the start and stop times are, choose another company! read more

Terrible service. They were 2 hours and 15 minutes late. I called when they were 15 minutes late to which the owner assured me that they were on their way and would be arriving any minute. They didn't even have the decency to give me a heads up that they would be running late. After hearing nothing for another 30-40 minutes, I called again and was again assured that they were on their way and would be arriving any minute but mentioned that they were driving in from McKinney, Tx (heading to central Dallas). We breaked for lunch and the owner told us that the movers will just wait for us until we get back. We were gone for a solid hour, enough time for them to grab a bite to eat and get to our location. When we got back - they were still not there. Again the owner assured me "they are in your area, they will be arriving any minute now." 5 minutes later, I received a call saying they were 15 minutes away. When they arrived, the two guys looked like they had no idea what they were doing. I live on the third floor with no elevator - I understand this isn't easy work but it took them 45-50 minutes to bring down my dresser because the dolly they used wasn't big enough to hold my dresser, they didn't wrap it up tight enough and my drawers were banging around all over the place and they kept running it into the walls on the way out. Then they just stood around on the phone for about 15-20 minutes talking to the owner because I had asked for a third mover to be sent to help them out. Then they brought some padding and went to go pad my dresser together. Basically, these two guys would not leave each other's side to get anything done. Well ultimately after the 15-20 minutes of accomplishing nothing, they just decided to leave. Incredibly unprofessional and making excuses the whole time. There are MANY more options of hardworking movers, I would not recommend this company. I've used four other companies to help me move things into this same unit in the last year and have moved annually for the last 3 years, this is the LEAST EFFICIENT company I have ever worked with. read more
