Wow what great service from Metro Moving Company. We just moved from a 4 bedroom into a 5 bedroom and had a 75 mile journey and these folks did an awesome and efficient job to say the least. Marco worked with me over the phone and discussed all the variables involved in detail and explained the process and fees associated. The prices were extremely fair and confirmed the move. On the day before the move Marco once again confirmed the move and on the morning of the move they called to advise us they were on their way. They arrived on time and brought the larger truck as I had ordered since we have extra "stuff" with all my children. We had boxed everything ahead of time and had most of it in garage but not all. They had the garage loaded in about 20 minutes. I was amazed at how quickly and delicately they got our washer and dryer from upstairs down to the truck. Everything was loaded in under 2 hours as Marco had suggested in the quote. The movers made it to the new house without incident and were quick actually beating us in our cars. They got everything moved into the new house without any issues and couldn't have been nicer and more efficient. They wrapped the items needing it and taped up drawers etc... I'm sorry I do not remember the names of the crew that did the move but they busted their butts with all our "stuff" and handled everything as promised... thank you Marco and your staff!! As moving os already a hassle, and just an extra fee, I was just looking for a good deal and decent service. My daughter had a good experience with this company, but mine was straight trash. They knew the move was from a 3rd floor apartment to a 2 story home. They had one young guy named ARMANDO and two old men and one with a handicap. The young one in charge ARMANDO has the biggest attitude problem and wanted to argue with me and make smart remarks. He has an issue because I called and complained about his attitude to the office, so he further displayed one. His attitude changed once he saw there was men around and that I was a female on her own. After I complained, the office kindly stopped answering the phone. Save your money and go some place else because a normal 5 hour at most move and my previous movers did it in 4 hours moving from a house to the 3rd floor apartment has taken 7 hours. DON'T DO IT!!! The Company performed an investigation around my reported allegation and, unfortunately - although not unexpected, none of the individuals admitted to felony theft (theft of an item valued at over $1,500 but less than $20,000). On May 22, 2018, the Company offered a settlement in the amount of $200, which was a magnanimous gesture considering their investigation found that their employees had done nothing wrong. On June 4, 2018, I agreed to the settlement (because that was the best I could hope for, as, as previously stated, I did not have proof that one of their employees took my ring - I guess I should install video cameras in my bathroom...). Then, Saturday June 9, 2018, I received a letter from a legal firm demanding that I retract my review as it was damaging to the Company. This letter threatened that failure to remove the review would result in them suing me for damages that they could prove I caused their business plus legal fees. It is now July 23, and I have yet to see the $200. To be clear, it is my opinion, based on what I believe to be true, that one of their employees relieved me of my ring. I will not be intimidated into retracting my review/opinion as a result of a scare tactic. There's plenty of moving companies out there, and there's plenty of dishonest employees; I'm simply restating that you should take care to closely monitor the individuals you choose to entrust with your goods - because that's what I learned from this specific episode with this specific company. I also see that the moving company mentioned me in someone else's post (Jill P.). The ring was a gift to me - 20 years ago when I graduated from college. To my recollection when I first discovered it missing, was that it cost approximately $300. After going back to the receipt it was ~$650 at the time which my wife and mother split (i.e. the ~$300 cost was per person). After researching the replacement value for the 14k gold ring the price is now $1,347.66 (go to Balfour.com and look for yourself). The next time someone steals something highly sentimental from you or commits any other crime against you, I hope you have all of the information and calmness on hand to be 100% correct within 5 minutes of it happening. Again, pointing the finger at your customers who trusted you to do a job versus potentially committing a crime is not a good look for you. The team at Metro Moving did an incredible job of moving my girlfriend's things into storage! There was an enormous amount of moving equipment and they just loaded everything up and took out almost all of the 1 bedroom stuff in a single trip. There was barely anything left to grab on their second round to bring things into their trailer! From packing things up to driving to storage location (15 minutes away) to unloading and fitting everything into storage, they were done in 1.5 hours. SO FAST! Booking was easy and responses were quick. I even got a call on the day of the move to let me know the movers could come early if I was ready. FIRST TIME I'VE EVER BEEN TOLD MOVERS COULD COME EARLY! I found this moving co on yelp! The quote was excellent and stayed consistent with no surprises! Scheduling with Veronica and easy and availability on a Sunday morning was a breeze! All great! The guys came within the window and there were 3 movers. They got me moved to a new unit down the hall within 2 hours. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that the guys lost steam about 15 minutes prior to the 2 hour required minimum. If the movers wouldn't get it, I'd have to... so I politely mentioned that my computer stuff, some wall hangings, stuff in the closet was still there - and they moved it. They were young and I understand their texting each other and planning beers after work were probably more important. I also wish there was more consideration for the boxes going near the room they came from...but it is a wish. All in all...I'd definitely recommend this company! Talk about AWESOME! I contacted metro less than 24hrs before I needed to move. They for back to me right away and got me scheduled right away for the next morning! I got a call about an hour prior to them arriving letting me know the ETA, they arrived right when they said they would be there! They got things out of my 20ft storage and into my 3bdrm 3rd floor apartment in 2 hours!!! Even took the time to wrap somethings that were open. The 3 guys that helped me were all so nice, very professional, and fast! I move around frequently so the have definitely gained a forever customer! I was really disappointed not only did some of my stuff get broken because one of the gentlemen was throwing and flipping the boxes that said fragile which they gave me some of the money for it but as I was moving everything out in my storage, I noticed that my white velvet bed frame was completely destroyed and all my new furniture is chipped up. I called Metro Moving to find out about getting a china cabinet moved rather quickly. After I had worked with the agent for awhile and had described the item in question to the him, he told me my best suggestion would be to find a company that specializes in moving antiques so I would have better and a safer move of my item. This is what I find quality in people and customer service, I may not have used them for my service, but something like this suggests to me that they show to people they care enough to take the time to help customers the best way they can even if they can't move it themselves safely, they may suggest someone else to depending on what item you have to move and what the situation calls for. The day they moved me, one of the movers tried to charge me for an additional hour. They started moving at 10am and they finished at 12pm. When it came time to pay, he said it took them three hours. After explaining to him that 10 to 12 is only 2 hours, he recanted and agreed to only charge for 2 hours. I didn't appreciate them trying to scam me. They also did a terrible job reassembling my bed at the new place. The headboard is so loose, it is squeaky, and causing back/neck pain. When I informed Marco, he was extremely rude to me on the phone. All I did was let him know about the problem and instead of finding a solution, he decided to question why I waited a week to call. If it would've been done correctly, I wouldn't have to call at all. I explained to him that because it's loose, it has gotten more loose over the last 7 days. After arguing with me for 5 minutes about a mistake his movers made, he said that he would send someone out to take a look at it. I was so appalled by his nasty attitude towards me on the phone, I told him not to send anyone. I don't feel comfortable ever doing business with this company again. I suggest not to use them. This was my second call to this company in 2 years. I was told the move would be scheduled between 8am and 11am. I arrived at the location by 730 and prepared the items for pick up. By 830 I still had not heard from the movers. So I called in. I was told that they could "arrive anytime between 8am and 11am" to which I laughed because this was not communicated to me. However, I live a mile away my offices are a mile away so I was honestly going to just go down the street and wait. Instead a VERY RUDE man says "Oh you laughing? This isn't funny. If you are waiting it's because you didn't read." Excuse me? What part of customer service is that? He further went on to call me a "nobody" and yelled "to call somebody else." DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They are unprofessional and rude. And they have completely left me hanging on the day of my move without any regard to the inconvenience it may cause me. Horrible experience. Our movers just left, and WOW, we are impressed. These guys are quick, careful, and very kind. Raul and Angel were so so good with moving from our second floor apartment to our new home. Even with heavy dressers, washer and dryer, and allllllll the boxes we had, they got the job done and for a very good price. We had booked metro moving way ahead of our move. Everything was finalized and also confirmed that we will not be using their moving boxes as we had already bought the boxes ourselves. On the day of scheduled packing, they come in with boxes. When we said we had requested NO BOXES , Marco has the audacity to be rude and tell my husband that you will have to pay 250$ extra for the boxes or he would tell the guys to leave. We believe in ethical behavior and decided not to give in - they left !!! I would be very careful while dealing with these guys - this I consider very inappropriate behavior with someone ready to move. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE !!! I just used them today after my friend sent me their information yesterday. I read their reviews, so I figured why not try them out? I was moving about Dallas for the 3rd time and did NOT feel like going through the process of getting a U-Haul, finding helpers, etc. I'm very impressed, for as much stuff as I had, everything was moved from the third floor of my old apartment to the third floor of my new apartment in 2 hours 15 minutes. Huge truck for multiple items, they wrapped up the small stuff, covered the things that were breakable (glass). They were both 2 cool guys as well and very professional when they spoke (yes sir, no sir). IF I EVER have to move in Dallas again they will be the FIRST and ONLY ones i call for sure. These guys did an amazing job! I initially chose Metro because I noticed that they quoted me the best rate compared to the other highly rated moving companies and I was certainly not disappointed. The movers were very professional throughout the whole move, were on time and I was very impressed with how quick and efficient they worked. The total move took 2 and a half hours which included an extra stop to a storage facility and 30 minute drive to my new apartment. I have no doubt that it would have taken much less time if I wasn't moving from Dallas to Grapevine. I requested a third mover and even with the additional mover fee, I still ended up paying about $100 less in total than I would have paid if I went with another company. My only critical feedback is that they should upgrade the way they take payment and sign paperwork. I felt like I was buying a new car when it came to signing the contract because I had to initial and sign in about 20 different places. When it came to payment, the guys had to actually write down my card number and call their office to run my card. In addition, a carbon copy was taken of my CC which I wasn't 100% comfortable with and felt is an archaic way of doing business with the technology we have today. Signing the contract and taking payment is all something that could be done electronically which will save a lot of time for everyone involved and be less error prone. I have had to move frequently because of my career, and unfortunately have fallen victim of "lost property". Interesting how you mention that in an effort to assassinate my character. It won't work. For a business to come after a customer and blame the customer for "not securing their items" well...that says a lot about you. You seem to forget my First Amendment rights, that truth is my defense, and that YOU as business have the duty to protect my "lost items". BAILMENT! Look it up! I had to change my verbiage since you threatened me, and because the police officer I reported this to informed me I have no proof of "theft". I gave you the option to talk to your employee and asked to just return these missing items, no questions asked. But instead you came at me with threats of legal action. I have used Metro Moving Company at least 6 times in the past 4 years. I wouldn't chose any other moving company because they been the most efficient and rapid movers I have ever hired. The movers have always taken care of my furniture and things. I have never gotten anything broken or missing. The crew has been always on time in all the locations that I have requested them to be. My recent move was on March 2015 it was my biggest move of 2 bedrooms and 2 baths they got everything moved put together in about 3 hours. I am so happy with their service that now moving is not as bad as I thought. I know that I can always count on them with all my moves. After getting quotes from about ten companies, Metro gave me the best pricing. We are new to Texas so used yelp. They had good reviews and had availability for me with 1 days notice. They arrived on time and were easy to get along with. They wrapped all of our items before taking them down 3 stories. The best part is they were fast and professional. In the end they moved our 2 bedroom apt from the 3d story and into our new house for under $300 with 3 guys. My wife said they were great also. I'll recommend to anyone I know that needs movers. This was the worst moving company I have ever used!!! A 1 bedroom/ 1bathroom loft style apartment took them over 4 hours to complete and charged me $640. They additionally did not move everything as I quote them, they do not move bags or vacuums as they only move furniture and closed boxes. Here is my issue, they did not move my shoe boxes there were several boxes left behind, when I inquired about boxes being left. They asked where they were I said in the bathroom, his response was that they do not go into the bathroom. Strange because I thought that was in the apartment, thus a part of the movable space. They broke my tv stand, did not assemble my bed correctly. When I called to ask questions about everything, they got an attitude. I told him I was going to complain to the BBB, he stated good luck and did nothing to help me understand why they were such a pass poor company. Anyone knows that when you are moving it can be a very stressful time, he did nothing to address my concerns. The people moving were lazy and took many breaks, this contributed to the 4 hour move, please additionally keep in mind my old space to the new space was only 5 miles apart. Ramon, Monty, and Rodrigo were our movers. They were so friendly, helpful, and quick! The last moving company we used had us anxious about this move, but these guys made the move so easy. We had two stops, both on the second floor, to load the truck prior to unloading at the final address, again with two floors. The manager here is extremely rude and disrespectful. I approved my quote from the company but just wanted to ask a question about the fuel charge. He didn't like that. Which led to him yelling and talking over me all because I wanted to ask a question. Which is my right to if I'm paying for a service. Even with me trying to defuse the situation and tell him that's OK don't worry about it, am I still on for my reservation. He then proceeded to tell me....I don't know because you're telling me that I didn't tell you about it, which he didn't tell me about the fuel charge. He told me about everything else. There was no need to be aggressive at all. Our conversation yesterday was great but today he showed me a different side. No one should be spoken to in this manner. Again I never had a problem paying for the services, however you can't blow up at a customer and tell them you don't know if you should cancel their reservation or not for wanting to ask a simple question. First, this is the first moving company we ever used that called proactively to ensure all the moving details were correct. Second, the client service team speak fluent English and are very competent and responsive to emails/phone calls. Third, the actual moving team was excellent. Raul, the team leader has over 10 years of moving experience was a hard working, diligent and intelligent mover with a lot of integrity, which is rare in this type of business. His other team members, younger guys were also very hard-working and honest movers. They didn't take any breaks and got the job done as promised. There was no haggling over tips which you often encounter with less reputable companies; I tipped over 25% given such a positive experience. I highly recommend this moving company. Very satisfied with the service at metro moving company. I moved from a one bedroom apartment (about 700 sq. ft) to another one bedroom (about 580 sq ft) that was on the third floor with no elevator access that was just about a 15 min drive away. They arrived within the hour of my scheduled timeframe and promptly started. It was a little rainy that day so I was worried about how things would get done but the movers were very efficient. In fact, three men showed up to help instead of two so it went by faster than expected. Docking one star off however due to a seeming lack of materials and tools - they kept asking me for tape and moving type plastic wrap to use so they could protect my items. They also just kinda drove off after loading the moving trailer - we didn't discuss if they would follow me or just meet me there, so I had to quickly hop in my car and try to catch up to them. Also, they did not reconstruct my bed frame when they left, which I had not noticed until they left the property - which seems weird because they disassembled it for me but I was able to call friends to help me assemble it and handle my queen sized mattress. But overall very satisfied with the service, they were prompt, friendly and all my stuff remained in tact. Great service for a very reasonable and affordable rate! read more

Metro Movers was recommended by a friend of mine. These guys are fast fast fast! I have a one bedroom apartment, but a lot of kitchenware and books, bookcases and small furniture items. I moved from Dallas to Addison and the whole move from start to finish took just about 3 hours and 15 minutes, that included the drive to the new place! They called before arriving, they were careful with things I pointed out were fragile and made sure I knew about things I had that were already marred or broken (which was fine, I have a lot of thrift store furniture). They wrapped up the dresser so the drawers wouldn't open and used blankets on my mattress and box spring so they wouldn't get dirty in the truck. The price is super reasonable, I would use these guys again even if I was just moving across the street. read more
