This review is long overdue! It was actually an accident that I came to have my nails done here. It was 2 days before Christmas and I finally had time to get my nails done. I've been to three or four other places in and around town and I wasn't happy with any of them. So, I'm looking for a new place and it's getting late so my friend and I decided to stop in there and see if they would still be able to see me that night. There was a gentleman named Phil who was the person that did my nails. Let me just say that this man listened to everything that I wanted done with my nails and how I wanted them done and did exactly as I asked! You see I'm very hard with my hands and I'm very hard on my nails and so I needed them to be a little bit thicker and a little bit heavier because otherwise I would break them and they would pop off. Being Christmas time and the New Year's, I didn't want that. They were closing in about half an hour or 40 minutes. My friend had a pedicure done that she was so completely happy with that she now goes with me when I get my nails done just to get a pedicure! Anyway, I told him that it would be more than 2 weeks before I can see him again. He said okay. It actually turned into 7 weeks! And let me tell you, he did such a fabulous job that my nails weren't lifting anywhere, nothing popped off, they weren't too heavy, it was perfect! And to top it all off, when I did go back to see him, he still remembered me! He did my nails for me again, expertly as always! I am so impressed with his level of expertise and commitment to his clients that I will always go back to see him! He speaks very good English; there's no trouble understanding him, whatsoever! His time and attention to detail for what you want is impeccable! I'm so happy that I stumbled into this place by accident! They now have two new customers who are committed! First time I've ever been to this place. It is absolutely gorgeous very clean very roomy. The people are amazing and they done such great work extremely impressed with their work and their talents and everything that they did for my Christmas Nails and my daughters and the prices you cannot beat. Everyone is very professional. They do things quickly, but efficiently has the perfect lighting and They do most everything there not just nails and feet. I will definitely be coming back soon. Me and my daughter got our nails done the people were nice but I believe the prices were really high. Was for both of us $175 with tip. We did have a little decoration on 1 one nail on each hand. In Indiana it would have not costed that much so this was a major splurge my hubby not expecting will not be doing that again. read more

I went in 5 Star nail salon Monday for a regular pedicure and gel nail manicure. I usually don write reviews but this was so bad . I have to warn others. the tech doin my pedicure and manicure didn't speak English so she had a co worker translate for her. they used such an old bottle of polish that they added acetone to it so end result it didn't do a good job covering. Than came the manicure, I chose chrome from a picture on my phone, again the guy left his client to come over and translate what I wanted. He didn't bother looking at my picture well so end result was wrong color. They did offer to fix the color problem. But to be honest I already been there for 2 hours and I had still many things to accomplish on my day off work. So I declined. Now I am writing this review on Thursday morning because make matters worse one nail chipped yesterday 2 days into this gel polish manicure it's supposed to last 1 week to 2 weeks not 2 days. Had I written this review a month or two ago, it would have gotten a four, if not a five star review. I was so happy with their service. My nails looked fabulous every single time I went. Then about a month ago, things changed. The workers became a bit rude, nastier and the services provided were not as satisfying as they were when I first started. The pedicures went from Oh-My-Amazing to Eh. The fill-ins I got now start to lift a few days after getting them done, and I don't clean nearly as much as I use to. The owner & his wife were in a real bad mood last week, and I didn't do anything to make that happen, so there was no reason to take it out on me. In the service industry, especially when it comes to nail salons, this seems to be a pattern. They do a fabulous job the first few times, then they get lazy because they figure you are a regular and eh. Well 5-Star, your review would have matched your name had you not gone down the typical pattern path of all the others but you did. Consider changing your name to 3 Star nails, perhaps? read more

I visited this salon in January and had a nice experience. Pedicure and a dip manicure were both done well and I was happy with the service and quality. I went back in March and the pedicure was done well but it appeared I had a new person do my dip manicure. I have had dip manicure for years and this one was slightly different in order of application. My nails appeared fine upon leaving. After 2 days the edges were rough and on the 3rd day there was a top clear coat that was pealing off. Nails looked terrible. I contacted the salon on website and asked they contact me about coming back to redo. Nothing. . . I reached out again and nothing. . . Terrible customer service when they have someone working there that is clearly not capable of providing the services they offer. I am going to another salon just a week after paying for this service to have it corrected. read more

5 star nails deserves all the hype! They are absolutely amazing. Always welcoming and loving! Never any judgement and always a good outcome. The designs are always amazing. I of course have to brag big time of Linda and her creativity! I'm very indecisive and I've been going to her so long that she always has something picked out ahead of time for me and it's always an amazing surprise by the end. This is the one and only nail salon I would never switch up on, and I will always recommend them. They are ALL amazing. Dont recommend it ima be honest service was okay and the job they left me with was decent enough to get me through the week. But what I do recommend is going to city nails it's not too far maybe 3 min drive up the road and the best place to go for nails in port Charlotte service there is wonderful I've also left a review for that place as well read more

3 Months Ago, the following was my review along with 5-stars: This Miami Girl is extremely picky with her hands and feet and I finally decided to be brave and try this one nail salon that was recommended to me by a few people. Can I tell you that I was not disappointed at all? Because I wasn't. The pedicure was to die for and I didn't have to ask Alice to make any corrections and the same applies to the manicure. Oh and did I mention the prices? They are very reasonable compared to some of the prices in the area and they did a fantastic job. I found my new nail place on the West Coast. Very happy new customer here. Today (12/22/2019) I had to change my rating to 3-stars, because yesterday I went to get my hands and feet done and while my pedicure came out good, I am extremely disappointed with my acrylic nails. The gel nail polish that I paid an extra $10 for is splotchy (dark on some areas of the nails and light on the others) and not one nail shape matches. I asked for square with rounded edges, so the guy proceeded to shape my pinky nail and made it completely rounded. I was actually ok with this and told him that rounded was fine, but there is only one other nail on the same hand that is rounded and the others are kinda square with the rounded tips. I'm not sure if he was in a rush or what, because I was one of the last few customers there, but I will not ever do my nails with that particular tech again. The most painful manicure I've ever had, came in to get my set removed and gel put on my natural nails, I was burned with the drill MULTIPLE times on my nail and on my skin. Then was cut with cuticle clippers and had alcohol sprayed on them. I had to get up and pay and leave. read more

I would give them a 5 but the actual salon it's self needs improvement. They are outdated. BUT!!! They did a fantastic job. Best ever! Linda was amazing! Kelly is also a great one for difficult designs! I am soooooooo happy! I was being very high maintenance(it was my birthday I wanted them to be perfect) and she was happy to do anything for me! Two infections in my nails after a gel manicure here. Both nail beds were red, swollen and oozing pus.

I' started going here about 3 months because they are open sundays. Never had a problem going and getting a pedi anywhere before. This past time when I took my nail polish off my nail now has a fungis. I will NEVER again get a pedi anywhere again I will be doing this at home. It is disgusting. The county needs to check this place for cleanliness. After reading the reviews on here it sounds like I am not the only one to have had this problem. read more

I went here a few times. The first time it was great they did an awesome job. The second time I went after about a week I had mold under my nails. I went back and they fixed them....sort of, for free. As the weeks went on I could see that there was still mold so I went somewhere else and they had to take off all the nails because there was mold under all of them. GROSS. Beware! read more

I went to 5 Star Nail to get a manicure and pedicure with absolutely no nail polish and Larry the owner did not scrub the bottom of my feet and they were dry as sandpaper as he took a total of 5 minutes but did take a $10.00 cash tip. When I got home and feet were dry they indeed were rough as sandpaper. Called him and he was irritated because he did not want to do it right. Came back the next day and he was working on a women's nails and went to really get a cheese grater and proceeded to use it on dry feet. He did it so hard it took skin off and blend I told him you can't do this on dry feet so he really took a bottle of water sprayed them and said see not dry when they should have been soaking. He intentionally hurt a customer not wanting to do his job right. a claim was made the the BBB. Please read this and if you decide to keep going to not pay in cash as he tries not to report all the cash he makes from the business and encourages cash only. I've been here twice so far, they never complain about a design and they can do pretty much anything and everything. The books they have with the designs are awesome. One of the techs named Kelly, she's really good everyone wants her to do their designs. The only problem is they are so rude. If you never had your nails done before don't go because they will make you feel awkward which I witnessed. But if your want your nails done right id go here just don't mind the rudeness. read more

A simple nail salon. It's not a high end spa so keep that in mind. I come here every time I visit from Chicago and I am always particularly pleased with the pedicure! They really go to town on the bottoms of your feet leaving them soft and smooth! And they do not skimp on the leg and foot massage. Thank god because working in retail I NEEEEEED THAT. In fact it would be THE BEST pedicure I have ever gotten.... Except... My only gripe is that the polish application isn't perfect. I'm actually very good at applying my own polish so when I get a manicure I really expect the polish to be flawless. My second coat wasn't perfectly lined up on top of my first coat. Meaning that the sides of the nail only had one coat particularly on my hands. But really only I can see that and I don't care that much. $35 for a mani pedi. Completely fair. read more
