We had an undermount kitchen sink installed and needed the garbage disposal and pvc installed. I don't enjoy spending time under the sink so I thought we'd pay a plumber to take care of it. Flatirons quoted us $1300. I paid less than $50 for a new flange, pvc pieces, some putty, etc. and installed it in less than an hour. I don't know how they can justify their pricing. They were prompt and professional, but do yourself a favor and line up a couple different quotes because this one was offensive.

It all started in Labor Day 2021, when I had just flown here from Arlington, VA (Washington, DC), to "hug my dad for surviving COVID," as he returned home from the hospital after starting at the VA, then being at a private hospital for 5-weeks, and he was scheduled to be discharged Labor Day weekend, just as his basement sewage plumbing backed up! I called 1.800 Water Mitigation, to remove all the HAZMAT, then get going on the dehumidifiers, fans, and worked with USAA to re-build the entire basement thereafter, and for the stopped-up toilet, I called Hyper Flow.
