My wife is in Hospice care and I am 73 years old. I accepted the estimate thinking that it must be a complicated job. I also didn't want to have a parade of plumbers inspecting the problem to get multiple quotes. I also feared the pipes could burst soon, so I felt a sense of urgency. But I accepted the estimate. One hour and 15 minutes into the job, the plumber told me the job was done. I was surprised and angry. I asked him if they always charge $600 PER HOUR ( I included some travel time in the calculation).. He told me he doesn't set the prices. I called the company told them my thoughts on pricing and asked for the owner to call me as I didn't want to blindside him with a bad review. He/ she never called back. I…read moreconsulted Navien's website first for service providers (they were not listed there), but consulted BBB(Better Business Bureau) and did a quote request (the request went out to a number of companies) Based on my (detailed) request, I would have appreciated if they said they don't specialize in this work, however they were did schedule a consult quickly. The tech that came out, while punctual and respectful, didn't appear to focus on and provide a suitable solution for my specific needs (I was quoted for a replacement of the pressure release valve - something outside the water heater that was making noises / having the issue). After getting advice from others, I would have had to spend more time and money as the pressure release valve would not have solved the issue. Quick response and quote, but not really what I was specifically looking / needing. Not to say I wouldn't consult them in the future for other, more general repair needs.

Let's start from the beginning. -- I got the pleasure of first meeting Jeff who came out to do an estimate. Jeff had this genuine confidence about his experience, his team and his company (which was really nice since my 1940s home had a lot of plumbing issues. Essentially we needed everything replaced!). On top of that, he and his team gave me an estimate that was beyond competitive. Rooter Guys truly want to help their customers and not take all the money since they understand house projects and repairs are a huge headache physically and financially. Next he brings out the team Lead Jacob (this guys KNOWS his stuff and years of experience), amazing Cody, and awesome Austin to get another eye over on what their going to do like double checking their work. All three of the workers were also very kind and helpful if I had any questions or concerns. They even would go out of their way to show me pieces that they needed to repair, educate me on what to look out for or what pipes are which, levers, etc. Rooter Guys even found a blocked ground pipe that was so important to replace so that our basement/foundation would not die from water damage.
