Steve proceeded to scope our flue (which I was able to watch on his computer screen) and there were soo many breaks in our flue, we were very nervous. He proceeded to inspect the chimney box (which needed repair also) and then when his crew went up to the top of our exterior chimney, he found that the previous owner had put in face brick instead of actual brick. All of this needed replacing and then in 2 subsequent visits, cleaned (Poultice Creosote Remover) and added FireGuard (a ceramic mortar joint and resurfacing system) to the entire flue and did Crowncoat on the top. And, as a extra benefit, screened the top. We are soo happy with CJW and their service - we will always refer people to your company. It was a difficult job because the existing concrete driveway had a 3" asphalt cap on top of it which first had to be torn out and taken to a separate processing facility. But Goodsell Concrete has done two jobs for me, both within the time promised. One was a stamped patio/parking pad that still receives high accolades from friends and neighbors. The second is a beautiful retaining wall that fixed a severe erosion problem that I was experiencing. Tony worked with my awkward location, making the projects so much less stressful. I also felt that the quotes for the projects done were within reason, and comparable to other quotes I had received when working with owners and not a paid sales staff. They wouldn't have this high of a rating - and I definitely wouldn't have hired them if the reviews were a reflection of what it is like to actually work with this company. It's been an over a month and they are still calling me to try to bully me into removing my review. I had to block them. Update 5.24.26 - our deck is peeling and needs to be completely redone. Hiring this company was one of the biggest mistakes I've ever made as a homeowner. They didn't show up when they said they would -- multiple times. Not only did they fail to arrive as promised, they also didn't bother to call and let me know. I rearranged my schedule and even took two full days off work so I could be home for them to complete tasks that required my presence, and they didn't even do the work. That alone shows a complete lack of respect for their customers' time. When they finally did show up, the quality of the work was horrendous. Instead of taking the time to tape off or remove hardware from our deck, they just painted right over it. They left paint on my windows, killed plants, and left overspray on multiple surfaces that should never have been touched. To make matters worse, the product they used on the deck allows the natural knots in the wood to bleed through, leaving the finished result looking blotchy, unfinished, and downright atrocious. I've had to call them back several times to fix sloppy mistakes, yet issues still aren't resolved. Their crews clearly rush, cut corners, and show no pride in their work. Customer service has been dismissive, unprofessional, and completely unwilling to take real responsibility. After all of this, their idea of compensation was a measly $200 credit for the damage and disruption -- an insulting gesture compared to the cost, stress, and time I've lost. This company lacks professionalism, accountability, and basic respect for customers. If you value your time, your property, and your sanity, do yourself a favor and avoid this company at all costs.

We had a pretty negative experience with them all around. They tried to fix it up with some quality…read moreassurance time, but even that left us wanting. We were in communication the entire time, and none of our requests were unreasonable. However, they had tons of administrative "bloat" in the form of managers assuring us it would all be done correctly and very little in the way of field presence to tackle the actual problems. Everyone just kept reassuring us the next person would take care of it, until it was "just live with it" for a lot of the issues. The "owners" also left ominous feedback on our Google review, wishing they could "look up our account to find out what went wrong." We emailed them directly to get in touch if they wanted to come see for themselves... they never did.
