So I just relocated to Indiana. I have an IN Driver's License now. I met a visitor from Ohio at…read morethe gun range and made an offer on 3 of his guns. I called the ATF in Indianapolis to ask how to legally buy the gun. The ATF told me to find a local FFL (Federal Firearms License) holder to do the transfer. I called three, one was closing for July 4th and couldn't do it before the guy went back to Ohio, another one said they only handled their OWN sales....and then I called Matt's that same day, on June 29, 2016...and he was incredibly RUDE! Matt told me that the only way the transfer would work was if I had the guy from Ohio go back to Ohio and MAIL the guns from another FFL in Ohio to Matt's Custom's Guns. I explained I called the AFT and they told me how to do it...and HE SAID THE ATF WAS WRONG!!! Seriously!!!???!!! The ATF is wrong? I don't think so. When I tried to explain how to do it again...according to the ATF, Matt called me a "know-it-all", told me I was wrong, and HUNG UP ON ME. So I called a nearby Pawn Shop in INDIANA...and they did the transfer no problem just as the ATF said I could. Words cannot express how rude and condescending Matt was to me on the phone. I was literally shocked by his words and attitude. Oh...for the record, I also bought another gun from the Pawn Shop while I was there. Yep. Matt will NEVER get a dime of my business. He hasn't a clue as to what customer service means! And, seriously, he thinks he knows more than the AFT agent in Indianapolis! This man is rude, offensive and seriously doesn't know what he can/cannot do with an FFL. I would NEVER buy a gun from someone who is so clueless!!! What a jerk!

But then they kept canceling the regularly-scheduled appointments one day prior. This happened twice in a row. While I was able to reschedule the first one, they couldn't get me in for another week (ew). The second time it happened, they didn't offer any concessions so I just canceled the service altogether. The excuse they gave both times was that they didn't have someone available. If you don't have someone available at a certain timeslot, don't set it up for that.

I barely pulled up to the curb when the two employees immediately came out to assist me. When all was said and done, they unloaded all of my boxes and loaded the material into bins. I then sat and watched them shred all my stuff. There is a huge mirror behind/above them, so you can make sure there's no funny business going on. It took them 45 minutes to destroy all my stuff, due to the high volume. They methodically and efficiently took care of business. I don't know their names, but the name "Damon" was on my receipt. Good value for such a thankless job. Great job.

On Sunday, following the maintenance he performed I had an important question and shot him an email. He called immediately even though his shop is closed on Sunday. The second time it was out of my skill set and he had to do some repair. I told him I had a trip planned and needed it ASAP. Earl said he had a gently used part at the shop he could use or he could order me a new one. I told him I was fine with the used one. Earl did the work and didn't even charge me for the part, just the labor. Just recently I was on Lake Monroe and the alarm was going off on the boat and I couldn't figure out why. After about 30 minutes of trouble shooting and my girlfriend yelling at me, I called Earl and he was able to diagnose the problem over the phone and tell me how to fix it. From my experience at Quality Craft I'd say the service has been very professional and honest and I will continue to take my boat there for any maintenance.
