Brought our boys here for the first time, they are 16 and 17 years old. They are allowed to shoot as long as they are with an adult. My husband has a membership, so we didn't pay much because of the benefits of the membership. We bought targets and had to pay for ear protection. With the membership you get free gun rental, and we had brought our own ammo. They have ammo for sale but they are more expensive than other places, but it's convenient if you need to purchase some because they have everything you need. They put us in bay 10, which I noticed didn't have a spot for your stuff underneath the shelf like the other bays do which I didn't like. This afternoon I was in the store looking for a fathers Day gift. I would consider my self a semi regular customer. I've noticed lately things seem to be going from bad to worse with customer service. I was truly hoping that it would get better since this is the closest store to me , which makes it very convient. But today takes the cake and I will not return. The amount of unprofessinalim I witnessed today was totally uncalled for and something you would expect to hear in a bar not a retail store. As I was shopping , there was young man and 2 females, one older and one wearing a bikini top under her world shirt, standing by the counter /register area, who were laughing and talking about one of the females recent "relationships" with very inappropriate, intimate details, such as a " Indian pole riding ", which is offensive in so many ways , as well as joking about how they were all violating HR policies right then . Not only that, the older lady stated that Angela , their HR person was in Cincinnati , was nice and wouldn't care. The man then said that he was going to hit on her so she could become his sugar momma, which they all found incredibly funny. All the while customers in the store could hear everything and were being ignored. There were 2 other male employees in the store helping someone , but anyone else was ignored. To me this screams lack of accountability and leadership . I know I'm only one customer. But I doubt that anyone that overheard this interaction will be back as it was disgusting to say the least . The range is really nice, clean and well managed. The distance maxes out at 25 yards and you can shoot handguns, shotguns and smaller caliber rifle (up to .223 and 45-70). The staff are always polite and helpful from the front desk to the range marshal. They have a great selection of new and used firearms. The sales staff are mostly part timers from what I've noticed talking with them so if you have detailed or technical questions you might not get the answer you need or they might have to grab one of the full timers if they are in. They also have a large selection of ammo, parts and accessories. They unfortunately do not have an in house gunsmith. Overall, nice place to go shooting, easy to get to, plenty of parking, and friendly staff. read more

I had a medical emergency (cancer treatment complication) so severe that I couldn't attend my shooting class at Range USA-- Despite contacting them as soon as I could, their staff refused to reschedule or refund because I didn't give their arbitrary 48-hour notice. What made this worse was the unbelievably rude and dismissive attitude of the representative I spoke with--zero empathy, zero flexibility, just cold corporate nonsense. It's shocking that a company claiming to value its customers can be so inflexible and outright disrespectful, especially when faced with a serious medical situation. If you want to be treated like a human being, look elsewhere--Range USA CLEARLY prioritizes their policies (and money) over people. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOP BY ALL COSTS AND SUPPORT SMALL BUSINESSES. Range USA practices some of the most blatant predatory business practices i've ever seen. Every single product in there is marked up way more than any other local shop and online stores. The range fee's are outrageously expensive. They have shifted away from 30 minute range time for 1 hour minimum no matter if you use the time or not. They have changed the rental policy so you get charged 25-30$ PER GUN you rent and require that you buy ammunition from their store (which is almost double the price of any other shop) to run through the rented guns. They also charge a 100$ FFL transfer fee which is insane!! They have added these predatory business practices because there isn't another indoor range on the southside of Indy so they have a complete monopoly. The staff there are uneducated, rude and snobby. I have asked staff members multiple times questions that I already knew the answer to just to see if they are educated and honest, every single time the employee would just make up an answer and straight up lie. Lastly, I had a Stacatto shipped to the store and one of the 80$ magazines miraculously ended up missing when the gun got to the store. I called Stacatto and they have on record picture proof that they shipped the magazine with the gun so i'm 99% sure one of the Range USA employees stole it. I'll say it one more time... if you are a gun enthusiast please stay away from this store and support other southside shops like Atkinson's Firearms, Beech Grove Firearms etc. read more

I went there to purchase a specific pistol that was advertised on there web site for $1250.00. When I arrived the pistol in the display case was marked up an addition $3oo dollars from what was advertised. When I questioned it i was told it was due to the new tariffs. I asked to seee the pistol and it had the price of $1250.00 on it. I tried to tell them that that pistol was purchased pre tariffs and I should not be charged the additional $300. Checked out the range for the first time today and took my mother as an early birthday gift. Had a great time. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. There was a wonderful selection of firearms, accessories, and other items. Spent roughly $60 - $80 for four targets and about 1.5 hours of range time. Plus, some other items as well. Value was pretty good for the time. Will definitely go back in the future and consider their membership options. read more

Not only was he extremely patient with all of my questions, but he was also very knowledgeable and informative. On July 31st, I drove an hour to this range so I could spend time with my father I don't get to see that often. Upon arrival, we were told that there was about a 20 minute wait for a long gun lane. The employe told us that we would receive a text message when our lane was ready so we looked around the store, we then sat down and continued to wait. Almost an hour goes by and I still have yet to receive a text message saying our lane was ready. I finally get up and go ask how much longer our lane was until ready and we were told that it was ready. I never received a message and I was sitting near the range counter were they easily could've told me our lane was ready. When we went into the range, there was six lanes open and free. At this point I was not happy that I drove an hour to get here, waited a few minutes shy of an hour for a lane only to find out there was six lanes open and free... I went and spoke with the manager about this in hopes that it doesn't happen to anyone else that may have been told they would receive a message and his response was "I didn't know you were waiting". He didn't try to figure out what happened, he didn't try to figure out if there was an issue with their messaging system, he didn't offer anything except to stand there and stare at me. My first time at a shooting range so I don't have anything to compare it to so I'll just rate the establishment itself. As soon as we went in we were quickly greeted and directed to the back counter where we checked in to rent a lane to shoot. Every employee was very knowledgeable, polite, and took their time answering questions. We went on Saturday around 2 and surprisingly didn't have to wait! Once you go into the area to shoot we were greeted by the range master who too was very friendly. You shoot at your own pace and he even helped me perfect my grip which immediately followed by my first bullseye! The entire facility is very clean and organized. I definitely recommend getting a groupon or living social deal which includes a package and 2 hours of shooting. I will definitely go back!! read more

Waited in line 30+ minutes to get into the range why they allow there members to stroll in and cut in line. The employees here are so uneducated on firearms if you have any serious questions other than to see the firearm don't even ask. The amount of brand new guns I've seen here with scratches and dings from them hitting them as they pull them out of the display case is insane I even pointed out that the extractor was broken on a firearm in there used cabinet once, and they told me it was fine it came that way... yikes. I use to enjoy taking a trip to this place to look around and chat guns but it's gone so down hill over the years. High price's uneducated and rude staff there range officers are the worst. Only reason this place stays around is because they have the only shooting range on the south side. Do yourself a big favor and support a smaller shop with knowledgeable employees every time I go in here I over hear an employee saying something that isn't even true it's maddening. Stopped in today with my father and we were discussing barrel conversions when one of there staff tried to tell me I was wrong we got into a back and forth until finally one of the managers came up and dismissed the employee and said I was right. Needless to say I decided today that I won't be coming back to this store anymore. It was our first time shooting and I won't lie we were a little nervous but were made to feel comfortable with all things gun range by the staff. Their "experts" aren't expert, and they will offer you good advice for their needs, but won't listen to your needs. Terrible experience today shooting with a law enforcement officer. I guess they no longer provide a LEO discount, which is disappointing. Person who rang us up was as friendly as a rock, and they've changed processes to make it less customer friendly, but more expensive. Now second shooter on a lane has to ring out separately, and for the charge would have almost been better off just getting a separate lane. Always in the past you could load magazines on the tables behind the shooting lanes; this is safe as all guns had to be in the lane's cage. While one person was shooting, other could be loading mags. Now, however, you have to load inside the cage, which means you have to use up shooting time to reload magazines. Very transparent intent. The two stars are solely due to the fact the facility itself is clean and well maintained. Very disappointing experience; time to look for alternatives. read more

I love shooting at this location! The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. I purchased a firearm from here and the employee that helped me was very helpful and answered many questions I had. They offer free online courses for gun training, but also paid ones. They have weekday specials where they discount shooting for $10 for a half an hour! Tuesday is ladies day, but there are a ton more so check it out! They do have quite a few charges that can add up if you shoot here. Unfortunately I was delayed while trying to purchase a firearm. Not shoot point Blank's fault but it's been two weeks. They do not honor the Brady law which would allow them to sell me the firearm after three days of not hearing back from the background check. I went to sportsman's warehouse and purchased the same exact gun $20 cheaper and only waited two days on my delay. I will not purchase a firearm from Shoot Point Blank. I did apply for my UPIN So I will not run into this issue again. Update: I left several reviews on Google and got an owners response: Response from the owner an hour ago I'm so sorry you didn't enjoy your experience with us. We work hard to find comparable pricing however, we are at the mercy of the distributing warehouses that we are contracted with. I'm so sorry we didn't have the pricing you were interested in. We hope this improves in the future. We did change our policy on 07/01 and we no longer honor the brady date so that we can ensure that everyone leaving with a firearm is an approved firearm owner, we know this inconveniences you and we do apologize. We really enjoy shooting here. We are All Access Military Pass Holders and come at least once a week. The staff are very friendly and seem knowledgeable. I have noticed however that the rules aren't enforced as much as I wish - people shooting rapid fire, pregnant women in range area and shooting who are obviously pregnant, and then the safety issue with non English speakers using the range who couldn't even understand they had to wear eye and ear protection - what happens if someone calls a cease fire? If I could make one change it would be to separate the handgun lanes and long-gun lanes. Nothing worse than trying to practice with a handgun and having a 12 gauge going off right beside you. read more

Not a great experience here. First time at this range and probably won't be coming back. I'll probably share this experience with friends and family too. Long story short if you're new to firearms, gun ranges, etc I would avoid this place. I've shot maybe a dozen or so handguns and long guns in my life but none in the past five or six years. All outdoor, informal, through family relations so an indoor range was new for me. My only ask of Shoot Point Blank Greenwood was 5 minutes of time to bounce a few simple questions off of about their firearm that I rented but that request was completely ignored. Also don't ask the range supervisor any questions unless you like being mocked and talked down to. I did not look into what they provide in the area of classes/training/education so this might be a good option for someone new and maybe this is the route I should have taken. It's just that if I spend up to 200 dollars to rent and shoot a firearm at your range I would expect a certain amount of time from a staff member to answer my simple questions about how to operate said firearm... and to also not get shit on by the range supervisor. This is terrible customer service. I'm sure Shoot Point Blank Greenwood sells quality firearms and their staff is knowledge. I talked to several of them about purchasing a hand gun and they were all great. I've wanted to purchase a handgun for a couple years now and I'm starting to browse more seriously now. I've been very happy with this store. They treat their customers like friends. Especially Veterans. As a Vet, I have a "Defender" Membership "Premium." It allows me to shoot for free whenever I want. I can even reserve a lane at no extra cost as well as bring a guest who also shoots for free. I can also rent any of their firearms for free and get a 5% discount on non-firearms. It costs me $29.99 per month - a $10 discount. I've purchased a couple of firearms from them, even traded one in. The trade in value they gave me was only $5.00 less than what I originally paid. Their prices are fair. All the employees seem very knowledgeable about firearms and are willing to admit when they're not. They'll of course find the answer out for you before you leave. I've found them to be honest, decent, and easy to work with. I wholeheartedly recommend this store and will continue to do business with them. Me and my son went Jan 17 for his birthday. It was my first time there not my first time shooting, I just wanted him to get the experience of something new and fun to try on his special day. As soon as we got there we started looking at the guns not knowing we were on the purchasing side, the man working that area was nice and pointed us to where we were suppose to be for the range. Get there, filled out our waivers and went to the cashier to pick the gun of our choice. He was talking with two of his colleagues didn't stop to talk to us nor did the man talking stop talking so he can help us so we started looking at the guns. He finally turn his attention to us, cold, not friendly at all, not welcoming just rude. I asked for his recommendation on a fitting gun for me he ignored the question asked me what I normally shoot I told him I'm not sure I only been to a range twice so I'm not sure, turns to my son asked him what he normally shoots he said the same thing, he then goes on to say that he won't let us back there because we weren't experienced enough. Talked about some gun class we gotta take and said yea sorry I'm not letting y'all back there. It took everything in me to act civil in front of my son but I really think he did that to be mean and To down our spirits which he didn't we went straight to the other location where we were welcomed, and had ourselves a good ole time! We had an idea of what we wanted and he helped us narrow it down to find something that suited us both and explained everything about it which was fantastic being first time buyers. I went to Shoot Point Blank for my first time yesterday, as I normally go to an outdoor range but wanted to try something new. It was busy because it was Saturday so waiting for an open range was not a problem at all. My bad experience started when paying for my ammo and lane the male and the register was very rude to my friend and even went as far as to say to me, "I don't know how you put up with this guy." Joking or not it was very rude. Second we had a third friend meet up with us while we were waiting for our lane. We were called prior to her being able to purchase her ammo, "no big deal" was my thought we asked if we could let the group behind us go first so that my group of friends who traveled to the location could shoot at the same time. The same male told us "no, that would make things way to confusing." I don't know the logistics of how it works but I don't think it would be hard to allow someone to go before us. We began shooting and the range boss was very rude to us, he came up behind me and whispered something to meet that I could not hear he then said, it's in front of the sign in front of you." We had just walked in so we were not breaking any rules. Second we are all very proficient with our weapons and have had A LOT of training, we were setting our bags down where all the other bags were. Lastly about 40 minutes into our hour of shooting the range boss told us that we could not shoot 3 to a lane. The people next to us noticed he kicked one of us out and asked why because they were shooting several to One lane. Needless to say we ended our shooting early I would not shoot at this place for free let alone ever pay again. Terrible experience! read more
