I've been here a couple times and have had a great experience so far. We signed up for a membership and have found great value in it. I've been able to take my kids to the range with me included in the membership and the safety officers are super friendly and helped us when trying out some new rental guns and giving tips to us when trying new platforms. I've got nothing negative to say about this place, and I feel that if you give respect, you will receive it back. I've felt safe and respected by everyone in there. Will keep coming back! read more

This range USA is a good one. If you go at the right times (9am-1pm during weekdays) the lanes are almost empty and the RSOs let you get a lil rowdy if you want. As long as you demonstrate respect and competence expect it in return. read more

This place has really gone downhill over the past few years. It used to have a pretty decent selection, friendly and helpful staff, and while the prices were never great, it was not terrible. But recently, this location has gone down the drain. While the store remains decently well stocked, the prices have inflated to insane degrees. Charging 100 dollars per FFL transfer is patently a ripoff, especially when they have competition a few blocks away that charges 75% less. But, by far the worst offender in the quality degradation has to be the range staff/RSOs, they're now incredibly rude, standoffish and outright hostile most of the time. The worst offender was a particular elderly white man, I wish I had gotten his name down to note here. I've heard (unconfirmed) horror stories of outrageous things from buddies of mine, like kicking a man off the range for firing too fast with a lever action, and I've personally experienced that particular RSOs wrath firsthand. He can and will harass you to find any excuse to remove you from the range. Management refuses to assist in dealing with these troublesome employees. Sadly, I'll have to cancel my membership and go elsewhere, the nearby competition is cheaper, and far more reasonable. read more

I would never come to this place ever again... paid 150 dollars to go shooting, the old white man that works in the shooting range needs to be Fired asap!!! Not even 20 mins into me and my friend shooting something happened with the wires that brings your target back in, so we were moved to another range area and out of the blue this ole man then tells me that I have to leave "you are damaging my equipment and you have to go" I am a good shoot and he clam that or said it as if I am doing it intentionally... this is bad business and I DO NOT recommend this place to anyone because you pay your hard earned money just to be kicked out. I just started going here and thought I would like this range. We wanted our 17 year old to take the basic shooting course so we signed her and my husband up to take the course with her because she is a minor. They were both very excited to go but my husband had an emergency and had to have surgery. I called the range and explained the situation and asked if my daughter could take the class with one of our adult daughters and was told the it had to be a parent or guardian. He told me to send an email explaining the situation and said that because I purchased it online, he was unable to help. If I purchased in store he would be able to help me. I sent an email right away and I got a response that they would not let us get a credit for another class. My husband sent an email after he got out of the hospital and was given a generic response saying they do not allow cancellations. So we are out all the money we spent on the class. I want no part of paying again with this company. I now want to finish my membership commitment and not go back. I feel this is bad business and I really don't want to spend my money here anymore. Interesting thing is, had we been able to get my daughter into this class it would have meant they would have been gaining another customer. Instead, they will lose some. read more

The service at this location is good compared to the Carmel, Indiana location. The selection is decent, from handguns and rifles to different calipers. Who you talk to determines how you're treated. Some of the workers are good, and some are cold or rude. read more

We met friends at Shoot Point Blank today to try out the shooting range (behind the Get-Go off Rockville Road). This was the first time either of us had used the Shooting Range. There's a separate counter, well marked, to check in for a lane. If you're a first timer, you'll need to sign a Liability Waiver (valid for 12 months) that will cost you $5. The waiver is transferable to Greenwood, Merriville and Indy North Shoot Point Blanks stores. They offer handguns ($10), long guns ($15), and specialty gun ($25) rentals. Range Time is $14 per 1/2 hour and $20 per hour. Add one additional shooter per lane for $10. You'll find Weekday Specials such as lunch time (11a - 2p) for $10 for a 1/2 hour. There are ladies, seniors, Family Day (2 shooters), police/military and date night specials. Check them out. The 25 yard lanes are separated into two areas, the Red and Orange Lanes. You must have eye and ear protection in order to enter the range (available to rent). The lanes are nice with 6 foot tables in the back to reload and grab items in your bags. Each lane has a coat hook as well as target clamps on the outside of the lane. The shooter's ledge is wide enough to hold your guns and at a comfortable height. Lanes are clean and a Range Safety Officer is physically in the lane area for questions and to enforce Safety Rules. We spent a quick hour practicing with several different types of guns. It is amazing how quickly an hour goes when you're at the range, especially if you have two shooters on a lane. All types of training (in-house and on-line) classes are available from beginner's to accuracy mastery. The trainers are experienced and professionals for each class offered and the monthly class schedule is online. We did check out a few guns before we left. Each Shoot Point Blank has over 500 guns (handguns and long guns) in stock as well as ammo, storage and firearm accessories. If they don't have what you want, they will order for you. We had a great time and the employees were friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Shoot Point Blank doesn't replace our main shooting range in Avon but it is a very nice range and we'll be back sometime soon. read more

Went there today with some friends not listening to my buddy who told me to avoid that place like the plague. I 100% should have listened to him, the gun they rented my friend didn't work then after we messed with it for 10-15 min they almost didn't give him a different rental. Also after he got the different rental (that the sight was off on) the security guard overheard my friend saying we had 20min left he said " nope y'all have 10 min y'all are on my time not yours. I'm out of here at 9:50". Almost all the workers we Incounterd had a attitude and seemed like they didn't wanna be there. read more

I was previously very happy coming here. In fact I've been a regular customer and member for some time. I came once with my son to do some plinking, we were informed that they had changed the rules and most of the calibers we had brought were banned because there was too high a risk of them being steel core, despite the fact they could easily check, but instead it was a flat ban (the ammo we had was all new production lead core and thereby fine to shoot, the supervisor admitted as such). So we put those rifles back in the car and decided instead just to shoot our 7.62x39 SKS and .22 pistol. We informed the gentlemen at the entrance of our firearms, he radioed to his boss and we were cleared. We entered the range and a fairly old range safety officer asked us once again about our calibers, we informed him of our ammo, the same as we did with the gentlemen at the front, and he left us alone, we got out our guns and he came back again to ask about our calibers, we told him what we had, for a second time. He left, but as I was loading the SKS he came again to ask about the ammo we were shooting. I took a single cartridge off of one of our stripper clips and attempted to hand it to him with the primer side facing him (the pointy deadly part was facing me). He recoiled and angrily started screaming about "not sticking bullets in my face, young man!" Despite the fact that the bullet was well outside his personal space. Me and my son decided to leave, but he made sure to inform us we were kicked out , just for good measure, as we left. We talked to the supervisor, and to summarize, he basically said we were probably lying and told us to pound sand. The other associates were very nice and helpful, apart from the elderly RSO. Overall, the place is fine on its best days, but otherwise a demented RSO will ruin your day and management will shrug their shoulders in response. Furthermore, there are cheaper, less strict ranges within the immediate vicinity, so there's no real reason to waste your time here. read more

I'd already made up my mind on what I was looking to buy so my trip was pretty straight to the point. Violet was the person behind the counter helping me out -- brought me right over to the section of the counter where the gun was being held, let me take a glance over it, and was helpful in getting my 4473 filled out. Overall, the sale was pretty easy, and Violet was helpful in answering my other questions about the shop, its memberships, classes, and locations. My wife and I completed the online course offered by Range USA. It was much more detailed than a previous live training session we attended at another location. We decided to follow-up with a private lesson. Our trainer was Mike. He is an outstanding instructor. He was very patient with us and made us feel comfortable. His methods were exactly what we needed. He gave us good advice on everything from ammunition and firearms to concealed carry holsters. read more

Highly disappointed with my experience today after thinking I bought the right ammo to shoot from there selection I get yelled at and told I was lying and bullshiting cause he said they didn't sell that ammo when clearly they did ,when the guy said I was shooting the wrong ammo after being kicked out after shooting 5 rounds didn't even get the offer to get help with the right ammo. spent over 100$ my boss who was there then told me that the guy that kicked me out told someone else who worked there that he didn't even know what ammo they sold. looks like I won't be going there again and am going to cancel my membership. read more

I joined Shoot Point Blank a few months ago. It's a great place to go to get in a little practice and have a little fun. The range is kept clean and is monitored for safety. I appreciate the range staff who are always available to help if you need it. The store is also great! They have a wonderful selection of guns and accessories as well as plenty of ammunition. The online store is also super easy to shop at and you can reserve a range lane online if you are a member. All in all I have had a wonderful time at Shoot Point Blank and I would highly recommend a membership for anyone. read more

Although a bit higher in price than other indoor ranges, and fewer lanes, it's more comfortable to shoot at this range because it's smaller and has less overall noise. In the store, I've never had an issue with finding someone who could answer my questions. If someone in the store doesn't know the answer to my question, they have been fair in telling me they need to talk to someone more knowledgeable. They don't always have items I want in stock, but those are the times we live in. read more

Finally made an initial visit. Everything was neat, well priced and easy to find. I didn't get any firearm supplies, or access the range, but I found my other personal protection items with no problem, due to the aisle/area markings. They also have a wide online selection; so whether I visit the physical store, or shop online, I'm certain to find what I'm looking for. read more

I started going there a few months after they opened the Avon location. Very nice range,clean,good ventilation. The store is as well stocked as any local gun store. I have purchased one firearm and many accessories. Also if you want to purchase something not stocked in the store (accessories) they will ship it to the local store with no shipping charge. Went there first time today to shoot on the range, we usually go to Greenwood, this one is new & closer to us. The store is nice, clean and well stocked, the sales people were friendly & helpful, the range people, neither friendly or helpfu.
