There weren't many people in the restaurant when we ordered, so we got our food pretty quick. The service was prompt and very polite. We followed our meals up with bread pudding dessert and chocolate eruption dessert. The food was good, but I'm not entirely sure I would call it fine dining that merits some of the prices we paid. My wife had the Ahi Tuna and the amount of pepper in the dish was unbelievable, we've had ahi many times from an array of restaurants so we know what to expect, but this was over the top. I had the tomahawk steak and the chef was once again very heavy handed on the seasonings, I am a person who likes seasoning, but the amount was ridiculous. Steak ordered medium rare and came out VERY rare. Didn't send it back due to the amount of seasoning I wouldn't eat it anyway. We were placed in a high traffic area and could hear the staff gossiping the entire time next to the kitchen window. I'm guessing this used to be a great place 20 years ago. Today, however, it's tired. Decor is extremely dated and dingy. Tables are tiny and chairs are uncomfortable. The food was extremely mediocre. The app I ordered was the egg rolls, which was probably the best thing I had all night. They came with a cheese dip of some kind, which was good, though odd for egg rolls. I'm pretty sure the egg rolls were store bought/frozen, but I don't know that for a fact. I ordered the 9 oz filet with garlic buttered shrimp. The filet was supposed to be medium rare and it was raw. The flavor was, well, simple. I'm pretty positive there wasn't anything more on it than a dash of salt. For $47, extremely disappointing! The shrimp in the garlic butter was good, though I'm almost positive it was frozen shrimp and the tails hadn't been removed. Needing to remove shrimp tails from shrimp that have been complement submerged in butter isn't exactly easy without getting super messy. I got fries and goat cheese potatoes. The fries were fine, just not seasoned at all. The goat cheese potatoes were extremely disappointing. They had so little flavor, which for a goat cheese dish shouldn't be an issue. Goat cheese is typically full of flavor yet they seemed to be able to take all of the goodness out. The potatoes were either baked or boiled and whole with zero seasoning in them, just a tiny bit of cheese melted on top that had cooled and dried up by the time the dish got to me. All in all, very disappointing and not worth even a quarter of the cost. If you are looking for a great filet, go to Samantha's! I ate there the night before and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Made reservations a few weeks ahead for a very special occasion. We got there earlier than the rest of our party to set up the cake, the staff was very accommodating with helping us, offering us a platter, utensils etc. It's definitely on the higher end but it was for a special occasion, and nice to experience someplace "new" My main reason to not give a 5, was it took over an hour AFTER placing our order to receive our food. Now, we did have a party of 13 so that could be it. Also the place was not packed with people by any means so I do think you should be prepared to wait a hot second for your food to arrive. The rolls were delicious but they were Definitely "Sister Schubert" rolls. The steak I ordered was good but was not the best steak I have ever eaten and came medium, medium-rare when I ordered well done. I think it just got mixed up with someone else's from our group which to me was not a big deal at all. They had live music which I was not expecting, the guy was good and on this day I didn't mind, but usually I don't care for live music while I'm at a restaurant eating and trying to enjoy conversation it's definitely not something I'm into but it wasn't crazy loud and intrusive so it was alright. They automatically take out 18% gratuity for parties of 6 and up so be aware. Bottom line: Everything was good but nothing I couldn't stop dreaming about till I had agin. Be prepared to wait. The Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer was delicious, not too spicy. My wife had the Center cut Filet and I had the Bone In 28 ounce Ribeye ( I was planning for a to go box ), both medium rare. The steaks were served quickly and cooked perfectly with good seasoning. We had two premium sides: wilted spinach and grilled asparagus, which were $5 additional charge. The portions were kind of small for $5 each, but they were tasty and cooked well. We were there on Friday night and they had live entertainment, which was nice; good female vocalist. The atmosphere in the restaurant was relaxed and a mixture of dress and casual. I'm not sure what the more negative reviews were disappointed with. I can remember when this place was pretty phenomenal however, it has gone downhill significantly. First, the decor. I can't figure out if they are supposed to be upscale or casual. The whole place just seems confused. The service. While our waiter was friendly, he was incredibly slow at everything he did. He took forever to take our order, bring our drinks, bring the rolls, and when we were finished eating, it took 30 mins to get our check! The food. The Bang Bang Shrimp was really good. I ordered the almond crusted salmon with a sweet potato and veggies. The salmon was covered in a sauce that had a weird bite to it. The veggies were inedible because they were so hard. For $22, please just make sure my veggies are cooked. My husband ordered the filet burger and there was zero wow factor. There was absolutely nothing that stood out about that burger. The fries were soggy and greasy. The price. Expensive; especially for the caliber of food they are putting out. I don't mind to pay a bit for food. But, if I'm paying that much, please make it tasty. You're a local restaurant, make the people of this town choose your place over the crazy amounts of chain restaurants. For now, it's not working for us. read more

I was hesitant to go here after reading some of the past reviews but we had a meeting there so I went albeit reluctantly. Boy were those past reviewers ever wrong! This place had a really good offering of seafood and steaks. We order the bang bang shrimp and spinach dip and completely devoured it all! I order the filet with garlic butter, potatoes and green beans. It was absolutely wonderful! They had a couple of guys singing while playing acoustic guitars and they were wonderful.
