Such a cute Mediterranean Greek restaurant, great ambiance, service, and fabulous food!

A friend and I dropped by here for a weekday supper. I started with the grape leaves appetizer, and was pleased with the subtle flavor. For my entree, I was quite impressed with the flavor and texture of the lamb kabob. It came with rice and a small yet tasty salad. The service was friendly and our waitress was informative and efficient. The atmosphere was lively. Parking was very easy. Unfortunately, the table top was a bit sticky, but I think that was because of a lack of staffing. I took some baklava home with me, and found it to be some of the freshest and moistest that I'd ever had. I definitely would like to return here again. read more

Honestly some of the worst baklava I've ever had. Anybody's guess how long past its prime it was, but the texture and taste made me think about a year. The kebabs were pretty good, so that was ok, as was the rice and basic salad. No idea why it was delivered with three packets of ketchup. That's a first for a Mediterranean place. Anyway, it's not bad, but I strongly recommend against the baklava unless the get some fresh stuff. read more

We loved the casual feel and the small business environment. The lamb meat wasn't the best but the portion for the combo with the fries(which were delicious) was excellent. The hot mint tea was such a kind gesture & we appreciated it. The chicken plate definitely could've had more meat for the price. The rice is a little dry but flavorful. The garlic sauce is AMAZING-my fav! Taziki dip is great too, very cucumber & good taste. Excellent customer service but food isn't the greatest of all. Food is so fresh. Laid back environment and have decorated it with things from the Geographical Mediterranean area and from those Greek, Turkish, Arabic, Jordanian, Israel cultures. They truly care about what they are cooking here. They use fresh ingredients that they actually go and hand select. They also get their herbs imported straight from Jordan. It's all very flavorful and I can't explain how fresh it is. I love that the guys working there are so helpful and knowledgeable about what they are preparing. They explain the items throughly when you have questions, as many people are not very familiar with pronunciation or ingredients used in different cultures and dishes. You can tell they take great pride in feeding their customers real food and are passionate about their authentic and healthy food offerings. The young man who served us on Wednesday July 3rd.. Rice was crunchy, like it had been sitting awhile and reheated. Veggie kabob were really sad looking. Waited 45 minutes. I didn't mind waiting, but when I saw what I waited for, was really disappointed. read more

Decided to give the new Greek place a shot. Cute little restaurant. Very clean and friendly staff. I got a spicy gyro. It was ok. Nothing to write home about. I paid $14 for a combo with fries. If you want to sit down and eat Greek food then go here but if you want more food for your buck and better tasting Greek food just go to Partovis. Totally disappointed with my online order. The restaurant was closed at the time of my order so I waited 10 minutes after opening to call directly to verify and confirm my order. I spoke to a male host and explained to him what I wanted and he said he understood and would adjust my order. Once I He got my order wrong and I paid the price . Awesome Mediterranean food for lunch or dinner - I especially love their falafel and shawarma, although everything I've had there is really delicious! The staff members here are also friendly and attentive - I've been offered complimentary hot tea on more than one occasion. The interior ambiance is cozy and well decorated, and there's even outdoor seating, too! This is a great cafe for meeting up with friends and loved ones - if you've never been, definitely give it a try! read more

My daughter and I love the hummus and pita. The rolled grape leaves are excellent - they're served cold here. The baba ganoush is very smokey flavored but good. Mediterranean Salad with chicken was ok. Service has always been great, prices are a little high. Atmosphere is nice. read more

My son and I stopped in because we were in the mood for "something different". On the advice of a friend, we tried Pella. This place was amazing! We started with a Pella sampler, which was great. My son has never tried baba ghanoush, and we both loved it. We thought that it would be hard to follow the apps, but Pella delivered. My son chose the gyro (not spicy) and his lamb was absolutely perfect! Not to be outdone, I tried the chicken shawarma. It was so flavorful! The addition of the tzatziki made it over the top amazing. It's hard to just keep piling on praise, but I'll mention one more thing...the pitas. So good! Yeah, it's a 5 out of 5 from us, and we WILL be back. Was also advised to try the Turkish Coffee, but I just couldn't fit it in on this trip. Do yourself a favor...find Grant Ave in Jonesboro and make Pella your destination. read more

I have ordered take out from Pella Cafe several times over the last few weeks. My take ?.... I have had nothing from this place that I would not order again. Hummus is great with lots of pita bread. We have usually ordered the Mixed Kebob and find it feeds two with ease. The chicken and lamb are flavorful and moist. The beef kafta is the most flavorful that I have ever had. At most places it seems like ground beef with not enough spices to taste anything other than ground beef. Not the case here. I finally ordered the lamb chops and OH MY!! The best lamb chops I have ever had. If you have wondered what they taste like, get them from here. I promise you will not be unhappy. The rice is always hot , flavorful, and moist. The baklava is quite nice also. Oh, order extra garlic sauce. You can thank me later. Each order is prepared in real time so do not use this as a cash and dash. Will not happen. But the wait is worth it. My negatives are that there does not seem to be enough salad dressing on the Greek salad that comes with a meal. The taziki sauce is unlike any I have had at other Med/Greek places. It is fresh, but has more texture than I am used to- does not mean it is bad for others, just me. I did have a small problem recently when not all of my order got home with me. They certainly let me either get credit on my card or reorder(which I did because it was the lamb chops and I really wanted them). Very polite when handling this, but I did not hear the word apologize or sorry. For Jonesboro this is a do not miss place! read more

Stopped in to get a to-go lunch. I ordered a Hummus appetizer and the Gyro sandwich combo which includes fries and a drink. Everything was prepared quickly and I was on my way in minutes. It's a bit pricey but it's a lot of food, too - I will be able to make two meals out of it. The Hummus was a good amount and good flavor, with plenty of pita bread to accompany it. I put a little lemon juice and hot sauce in it to give it some pizazz but depending on your taste, you may like it as-is. The Hummus appetizer is big enough to share for 2 or 3. Then on to the Gyro! It's a big Gyro with plenty of tasty meat. It didn't taste as if there was any feta cheese in it, though. Its cucumber sauce is not as tasty as some Gyros I've had but it's still good. And the seasoned fries were a treat - perfectly cooked and great flavor. The sandwich combo also comes with a can soft drink - not a wide selection of soft drinks, not really a complaint, just an observation. Spicy gyro was good but very spicy! Chicken gyro also good but their French fries were great! Small little place but friendly and clean.

We ordered the spicy gyro and chicken kabob sandwiches. Both were excellent. That was possibly the tastiest gyro that I have ever eaten.
