We had heard great things about this place. They were our favorite vendor at BrewLights so when we found ourselves on the east side we decided to check them out. They make cocktails in batches and have them on tap. Then you can buy canned versions to take home. Genius! So we tried a couple flights and bought way too much home with us!! What's up: Our last stop for our Distillery Tour. We're almost done! Parking: They have a their own parking lot right next to the building. Street parking is also available. Environment: Place your order at the bar. The menu is located overhead and there's also a tap list at the table we were seated at. Restrooms are located down the hall, follow directions and it'll be on the left. Staff members were friendly and the place was pretty busy. What was ordered: - Cocktail Tasting Flight (Espresso Martini, Endless Parade, Mt. Hood Old Fashioned, Blood Hound) - We grabbed some of The Blood Hound to go Yay/Nay/Meh: Yay. My aunt and uncle suggested we speed down to this place unexpectedly after dinner because I am the perpetual canned cocktail snob and obviously they have theirs on the shelf. We were not disappointed. I thought maybe we were going to just grabbed my cans and go but no.... The fresh cocktails made with their distillery liquors were gorgeous. Absolutely perfect. My man got a Gold Rush and I got a some delicious concoction of which I can't recall, uncle got a Root beer Float made with their house made vanilla cream. Oh my gah... so good. Auntie got a vodka martini which she adored, partially for the 3 olives and not getting any flack about wanting a vodka martini. Christine our bartender was brilliant. She suggested some of the house made Vanilla Crème and Cinnamon Rum. I've not tasted any liquors so amazing in ages. It made me want to completely forget about any canned cocktails and take bottled spirits home. We also tried the house made Fresh Hop Whiskey. I'm dead. Literally it was so good. I'm not even a hoppy kind of girl but this stuff was gold. If you're going to indulge in spirits this is the place to, and stock up for home cocktails. So delicious and service is stellar. read more

Our party of 6 entered the establishment with eager anticipation of tasting this local spirit. All indications were they closed at 10pm as this is not a holiday. Unfortunately the bartender said he was done and they were closing early and would not serve us. Well, can't say how good they are but their customer skills are seriously lacking. When you are a vendor at an event, specifically the Oregon zoo Oktoberfest, maybe don't send the slowest singular person making people wait over 40 minutes for a 3 oz poor. Only vendor to be absolutely complete disorganization in the entire place. Will never give 503 my business outside of this. Left a crap taste in my mouth couldnt enjoy my drink. read more

I come here on Thursday nights for Trivia, they host Bridgetown Trivia at 7pm, and it's a nice location for it. The owner who runs the bar is really friendly and outgoing, the service has always been good and it's an easy place to support. The food is really really good and while the menu is pretty limited, what's on there is definitely worth trying. My recommendation is the nachos with the pulled pork. The pulled pork is packed with flavor ( I believe it's Carlton Farms), and it puts the nachos over the top. There are a really good amount of nachos, but the pork is so good we each find ourselves probably pushing to finish it. The bar itself is a little small, but has a nice couch area, a TV and some different types of seating. Parking is great, there is a giant parking lot to the side of the building, and we've never had an issue finding a spot up front. Also, they have $3 beers, which I guess is good? read more

I came across this company because a customer at work was trying to order some. I went to the 503 Distilling website and found out that you could order online and pick up curbside. I had an upcoming girls weekend on the Oregon Coast and decided that it was a perfect opportunity to stop by and grab some of their cocktails in a can while we passed through on our way, since I was not sure that I could find them in my area and would not have been willing to pay the hefty tax in my state. Online ordering was quick and easy. They even accept PayPal. Our orders were picked and ready to go fast, even though we were still a ways out. We were quickly greeted as we pulled up. Friendly faces and well wishes were exchanged and off we were to our destination. We tried The Wicked Mule, La Vida Mocha, FiveOTea and The Blood Orange Greyhound. My favorite is the Five O Tea...it is smooth and tastes just like tea. Very refreshing! My second favorite is The Blood Orange Greyhound...although to me it taste mostly grapefruity...it is still tasty and refreshing. My friends all liked this one the best...although I do think it is because they seek no sugar/carbs and no sugar added products. I LOVE mules! BUT...this mule is a little different. It has the heavy ginger taste and although I love ginger and ginger beer...it was not quite what I was hoping for. I have had The Copper Can's version and they are both very different from each other, with their version being more heavy on the lime. 503s version isn't bad, but just not what I was hoping for...reminds me of a mule from the Mule Tavern in Tacoma, which brew their own ginger beer as well. I personally did not order the La Vida Mocha, as I do not care for coffee in my cocktails, but I tasted my friend's. If you like coffee cocktails, this might be for you. My friend did not care for it, noting that it was very strong in flavor and pretty sweet. This coffee cocktail packs a punch for sure! I am glad that we stopped by and were able to support a PNW business. The customer service was exceptional. read more

If 503 Distilling is at the farmers market, I pick up a 4 pack of one of their canned cocktails. It's always in my fridge. In the summer my favorite is the Five-O-Tea (vodka, lemon, iced tea) and in the winter is La Vida Mocha (rum, chocolate, cold brew coffee). There is nothing better than drinking a heated La Vida Mocha on my couch covered in blankets on a cold Portland day. Their new tasting room in SE Portland is charming and inviting. It's easy to reach from the Orange Max and next to Ruse Brewing. Outdoors in the summer, they have a fun fenced in area with cocktails on tap, picnic tables and sometimes a band playing. 503 Distilling is definitely leading the canned cocktail game! read more

Great service. The BEST drinks! Atmosphere is chill! Recommend trying it out! I was hesitant to try canned cocktails but I'm now a believer! They have something for everybody! Faves are Wicked Mule and Rhubarb Whiskey Smash. They are pretty potent! Their vodka is top notch for a fraction of the price of others. I've converted many friends who swear by Titos. Vanilla Crème Whisky is like dessert! Love it my coffee. Way better than Bailey's. Gambler 500 Whisky is smooth. One of the best Gins I've ever had! read more

We popped in to 503 Distilling completely by accident, and grateful for the winery we were supposed to visit being not around. Not that I wish them ill, but we ended up being more happy with the experience. 603 distills a variety of spirits and pre-makes craft cocktails with them. So, you can either try it neat or blended. I went neat, cause that's the kinda gal I am. I enjoyed the spirits, but I actually ended up buying two of the pre made cocktails - the old fashioned and a fancy huckleberry lemonade. We took the old fashioned to some friends for a pre-game cocktail and must warn you - half a can and you will feel it. And that's coming from a gal who drinks neat. :) read more

Very cool place with great drinks, the draft cocktails are not overly sweet but still flavorful and fun. We tried a vodka strawberry tamarind cocktail and Roll in the Hay.
