When I had my first appointment with Dr. Minette, I was concurrently seeing my ninth neurologist. All the different pharmaceutical cocktails I have taken over the years, dietary changes, "my (insert relationship here) takes this, that, and the other thing" trial & errors, did absolutely nothing to get to the root cause of my migraines. They didn't touch the frequency, or intensity, of the migraines. I was having 4-5 migraines a week. They were so bad, I can remember lying there praying for death. Fortunately that was not my fate. Dr. Minette is absolutely the best. Every time I talk to her, I feel like we could be the best of friends. She asks a plethora of questions so she can approach your treatment in a manner that is going to give you the best results. There may be some tweaking along the way, which you would experience in conventional medicine, as well. She doesn't push remedies and/or products on you that you can only purchase from her. Often times she'll email me a link from a website where I might be able to get what I need at a lower cost, or with an expedited shipping. The proof is in the pudding, so to speak, right? Within the first year of being treated by Dr. Minette, my migraines decreased in frequency & intensity; to the point where I have been sustaining 1-2 migraines in a month at a decreased frequency, as opposed to the 4-5 migraines in a week before treatment. My knees are swollen, painful, and stiff and the doctors at OrthoCarolina agree with my scientific self-diagnosis -- my knees are swollen, painful, and stiff. They can't fix them, but they'll help me use up my Medicare. So nice of them! Meanwhile it's becoming very difficult to get out of a chair. Dr. Dooley has a downloadable medical history form to complete at home, and then took well over an hour going over it with me on the first visit. On the second visit she had a packet ready with specific recommendations and went to great lengths to make sure I understood the reasoning behind each recommendation. Now you're up to date. --- I was treated professionally and well. There is a back door with only three steps. I went to Dr. Melonni Dooley to get my health in check before a major surgery since anaesthesia is so terrible for you. Plus I had done some organic cleanses before and it totally changes your life when your digestive health is in check - you sleep better, less stress, no major stomach pain, no blood sugar hangry or queasy spells. So Dr. Dooley took me under her care in a very, well, caring way. We even did acupuncture, and hydrotherapy as well. I got the right supplements, fish oil, probiotics, etc. and was well on my way. I know Dr Dooley also treats women's health issues (like hormonal stuff) and degenerative neuro stuff, so when my dad's Alzheimers kicks in I am definitely bringing him here! Being self-employed, I have a super high deductible so I might as well seek out the care that I want and is easy in/out without having to wait for a friggin hour for the doctor to come in and be processed by 4 different departments in a visit. Well worth the money in my view for those of us with busy schedules. One more note- I don't remember the chiropractor's name, but one day I was having a stress induced TMJ attack and she fixed it in 3 minutes flat and it hasn't come back. Amazing! The pod also has a multicolored LED liighting option and a custom misic option. The Epsom salt provides buoyancy for you during your float which gives you a weightless feeling. It was a bit awkward at first because I had never done this before. Once I relaxed and just floated, I felt like I was floating around in space and then had the most amazing nap. After the float, I took a shower in the room under the most amazing rain shower. They provided body wash, shampoo, conditioner, wash cloth, and towel. After getting dressed, they had a communal space with q-tips, face cleaning pads and cotton balls, deodorant, and lotion. There was a hairdryer available as well. Following getting myself together, I went to the main room where they have water, tea, and an oxygen bar with lavender, camomile, or eucalyptus for as long as I wanted. It was dark and relaxing and kept the vibe. If you have body aches and pain or have a lot of stress, this is definitely the experience for you.
