called and asked for an estimate for siding repairs, scheduled meeting for a week out at 10am their scheduled availability. estimator called day before to reschedule as his vehcle was to be serviced at 9, so he asked for noon and i was okay with that. once he arrived he informed me that they dont do repairs only complete houses. Waiste of my time and need for asap repairs. Make sure you speak slowly and clearly your interest for your inquiry. read more

Do not use these guys! Rude and unprofessional! They jerked me around for MONTHS, saying they would provide a quote for me and never did. They came up to our property in the foothills with full disclosure that it was up a dirt road. They said they do this kind of work all the time. They came on time for the bid. Acted like they wanted the job and Todd said they would get the quote to me within the next week. I heard nothing. I called him - he said he'd call me within another week. No call. I called his manager. He said he'd look into it and one of them would call me back. No call. Clearly, they don't want the job. JUST SAY SO instead of jerking people around. We had an amazing experience with 5280 Exteriors. We had a very specific view of what we wanted for our house. We basically stripped everything down to the studs, pulled off old siding and brick, added up-to-date insulation, replaced all the windows in the house, and covered with panel and channel. We chose 5280 because they recognized our vision and went the extra mile to point out things that would make it even better. Their bid was the most detailed and specific and communicated to us that they had heard what we wanted and were going to manage it. The final implementation was beyond our expectations. We love the new exterior for our house and couldn't be happier. Finally, all of this happened in the middle of serious supply chain issues. Even though the start dates got pushed, it was not their fault, and I can only imagine that it was more frustrating for them than for us. We have been working with 5280 Exteriors for almost 2 years to get repairs done on our house after a hail storm cause signicant damage. The first part was fairly easy. the roof and evaporative cooler were replaced in September of 2018. Bryce Steckler and his team did a grwat job with that portion of the repairs. The rwal issue was the vinyl siding was damaged. the Insursnce company insisted the siding could be repsored and the color was available. After nearly 2 years and many e mails back and forth betwern us, 5280 and the insurance company, they finally concluded that replacement was the only option. Bryce advocated on our behalf during the entire process providing the necessary documents to show the product was not available. Just as covid hit, our insursnce co approved the replacement of all siding. The replacement began on 6-10-20. The installer Noe came out and began thevtear off and install. He was very goid at his job znd very conscientious obout our house and landscaping. Noe worked tirelessly until the project was completed on Saturday 6-13. We could not provide a better recommendation forva contractor to do exterior work on your home. read more

This company put a new roof, gutters and siding on my house. Everything was done to professional expectations. My five stars are here because they went above and beyond for me when I discovered what could have been a problem with the roof. This came up a year after they had done it - they were under no obligation to do anything but instead they came back, checked everything out, explained what is going on and put my mind at rest. They seemed to really care about my issue and they gave me the impression that they actually enjoy what they do. Again, this company went ABOVE AND BEYOND for me. Things started off well. The sales person, Guy, was very helpful. I signed up for windows, siding, and roofing for an addition on my house, partly because they could offer some no-interest financing. The window installation went well, although I am not impressed by the windows they recommended. They are sliders, and allow too much air to flow in, especially with the high winds we get in the foothills. The siding installation went well. The things fell apart with the roofing. The start was delayed: nothing but excuses, wrong color delivered, could not get some specialized pieces, and on and on. When they finally got it done, it was an OK job, but not great. They were supposed to install snow guards. The roof went on in January, the snow guards were installed wrong in the following October. It was a real problem getting them to finish the job, and they became quite obnoxious to deal with. I cannot recommend this company and I would certainly never consider working with them again. read more

They totally ruined our back door from pounding so hard to remove the old siding. They then "fixed" it, but these aren't door guys, so they did not actually fix it and to this day we have to literally grunt and groan and push as hard as we can to dead bolt our back door. The project manager was barely ever on site and was not around to direct the workers -- we had to direct them and walk them through everything. The workers themselves were a group of younger Hispanic guys -- excellent, professional, polite, and very hard workers. We have no complaint about them, just the company and the guys at the top who talk a big game up front and then disappear and leave the lower guys hanging snd without clear instruction - at all - about what to do. It was overall a complete nightmare, despite the finished product looking decent, and we would not recommend them. read more

After having them do our siding job, they sent out a few people to paint the trim, gutters, doors, etc. The two people that came were not reliable on their work time. Some days they showed up, some not, and some days were only for a few hours. The painters (either one or two) worked hard when they were here but were not thorough in their prep. They caulked or painted over lifted paint. There was little scraping or sanding. When they were close to being done, we could peal the paint off of the house by pulling on lifted pieces. We also discovered that 5280 were trying a new paint out that only came in a flat sheen. We were not asked what sheen we wanted although the siding they installed was a satin sheen and we assumed the paint would be the same. We did not want flat. 5280 had to send out another crew to start over. The second crew that came was fast. Almost too fast. They prepped the house for paint again and caulked. They painted all the soffits, window trim, gutters, etc. with a satin sheen. The next day, two of the workers showed up to finish painting the front door, garage door, and shingles which were a different color. The two workers painted those items with the same FLAT paint as they previously took off the day before. We did not want FLAT anything! They got satin paint and went over it again. Now we have noticed that we have bubbling at least under the paint on the front door. Our project manager was Teddy, She seemed very inexperienced. Mick, one of the owners, came to asses the painting job before they sent out the second crew. He asked about our discussion with Guy about the paint and sheen. Guy told us that it would be Sherwin Williams. Mick said they were trying out a new product that only was available in flat and was supposed to be more durable and self cleaning. He asked if we would pay for the new paint, but then said he would "take the hit." Mick reassured us that their paint and job would last for 10 years and they would come back during that time and do any repairs needed. The paint and caulk was cracking on the house within 2 days. We are not happy with the process of both the siding or painting job. We were told that it should be stress free and feel like we are coming back from vacation to a new house. The process was no vacation and we are sure the quality of the painting work will continue to have problems. read more

They use children and old Mexican woman to do demo work. My roof leaked and still does. The belly band on my house keeps bowing out even when they tried fixing that again. Paint job was sub par as well. To top it off, I tried calling the owner Mick several times and he just blew me off till my warranty was up. Guy and Rob were great to work with for our Hardie siding and painting project. Rob, our project manager, was very responsive and quickly addressed any issues that came up over the course of the project, including replacing some of our deck boards that were damaged by the siding crew. The crews worked very hard and the install was good; however, given that the crews didn't speak English, and there wasn't always someone on site who did, there were definitely some challenges in communicating up and down the chain of command (eg., time lag, miscommunications, etc.). (We do speak a bit of Spanish and we are also pretty good at pantomime so we could try to address minor things in real time.) There were a few minor punch list items (re-caulking, touching up paint) that Rob came up and did himself. Also, despite not knowing exactly what they would find under our siding, because Guy provided an estimate of what additional materials we might need if the sub-surface was not up to code, the project bid was exactly what we ended up paying - no surprises. We would definitely recommend 5280 to others looking to have a relatively pleasant experience for a huge home renovation project! read more

I had windows installed several months ago, during one of our heavier rain we came home to a basement that had quite a bit of water in it. The water came in through the basement window. Called several times to have someone come and look at the window, was told a company rep would be calling. NO CALLS. Not sure where the blame lie's but the window is still not repaired, over a month now. read more
