I am absolutely addicted to this place and if I could I would eat here every single day. They have some of the best tasting empanadas I have ever had. Most recently my friend and I binged and ordered pick up and went with the BBQ chicken, ham & cheese, beef, malbec beef, bacon dates & goat cheese, chorizo egg & black bean and of course got the banana & nutella empanada. They were all perfectly cooked, and still warm by the time we picked up our order. I love that the box they come in for carry out has a description along with pictures of each empanada so you know which one is which. I have to say my favorite was the ham & cheese, sooooo much cheese! The side of chimichurri sauce was a perfect addition to the meal and tasted good with each one I tried it with. Came here for the first time about a year ago when the bf and I were looking for something not too busy or fancy for a Sunday morning hangover brunch. So many great things about this... where to start... 1. You can order as many different empanadas as you want! Love the variety. 2. It's not too noisy in here even when it's busy 3. They always seem to have a food truck at the street fairs 4. THey have games 5. THey have alcohol 6. They have free water that doesn't come out of a gross machine 7. Their chimichurri is freaking delicious My one complaint- the last time I was here, the girl at the counter went out to smoke a cigarette while we were eating. Now, I get it, people smoke and that's your prerogative, but she had just served us our food. Not the most appetizing to then watch that person go outside to smoke. The vibe was really cool, they were playing a lot of early 2000's alternative music and the restaurant is connected to a hostel called Holiday Jones. AMAZING!!! I have never had such fresh empanadas before and with such great flavors! It is a small place but they do deliver and the air bnb peeps we are staying with say they do that all the time. Also, I love the unique food concept as I have never seen a restaurant just offer empanadas. I know that empanadas are very popular in South America and are likely a quick street food option for people on the go. Not being the healthiest of choices, I have a tough time resisting this perfect snack/small meal when I'm craving empanadas. There are so many delicious empanada varieties that makes it always a difficult decision! My favorite flavor combinations are the Nutella/banana dessert empanada, Malbec beef and the goat/date. I'm sure I can choose even more flavors but those are my go. There is a good reason that 5411 has a large following and also has opened in multiple states (Texas, Miami) now. Got the (1) spinach & cheese, (2)mushroom, thyme and blue cheese (fav), (3) carmalized onion and parmesan and (4) the bacon, dates & goat cheese (2nd fav) but their all so good!
