If you are looking for a place to buy an engagement ring, or jewelry for someone special look no further than this store. Roy and his family are amazing people who offer impeccable customer service. They also have a beautiful selection of jewelry to choose from. When it comes to taking care of their customers this shop goes above & beyond. The center stone on my engagement ring came loose about a year ago, and I haven't flown back to Chicago to go to the jeweler that created the ring to get it fixed. Finally I decided I would find a place in town, and I was happy to have found Roy. Since my ring wasn't purchased from their shop I first called to inquire if they could fix it for me. Roy very graciously said he would have his jeweler work on it with no issue as he wanted his shop to be my jeweler in AK. He told me that it would be at least a week to get the center stone mounted, and I also asked to have the white gold re plated. The ring was ready a few days after I dropped it off. When I needed the ring to be reappraised for a new insurance policy Roy was able to get it appraised and returned to me in the timeline needed for my insurance company. They work hard at this shop, and I can imagine that buying a piece of jewelry from them will be a wonderful experience. The things I needed them to do weren't expensive when compared to purchasing a diamond, but they still treated me like my business was important. We stopped in just on a whim and ended up staying a few hours. There were three of us looking. Roy was so patient with us as we looked at engagement rings to get ideas for our (hopefully) soon to be daughter-in-law. He was very knowledgable and explained pros and cons of various designs. He never made us feel that we should leave! When we went back the next day with the entire family he was very welcoming. This is a very trustworthy jeweler. I had outgrown my engagement ring and wedding band and was having trouble finding someone I could trust in Anchorage to resize my rings. A friend recommended 5th Avenue Jewelers. They gave me an estimate on how long it would take and did not start work on it until a quote was given to me. They completed the work way faster than the estimated time frame given and the quality of the work is exceptional. When I gave them my rings, they were dull and tarnished and a diamond was loose. Roy and Heather are absolute gems! (See what I did there? Ayyyy.) They worked extensively with my now husband to put together my engagement ring. While I joined Ben in picking out a setting, he was determined to find the perfect diamond center without my input. Roy patiently educated Ben in diamond hunting and even allowed him to observe the stones under the microscope. After much searching, taking into consideration both quality and budget, they collaborated to create the perfect ring for me! We got engaged after my flight came in the Saturday before Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, my ring was a bit big. We dropped by the shop on Monday to get it resized. Because of the holiday, they said they probably wouldn't have it done until the following week. My flight was scheduled before then, but I understood, and figured Ben could bring it the next time he visited. Friday morning we got a call to let us know that my ring was ready to be picked up. I can't recommend 5th Avenue Jewelers enough! I recently crushed my engagement ring in heavy equipment and damaged the head and some of the ring's intricate detail work. After reading Yelp reviews of several Anchorage jewelers I called Roy and brought in the ring for an assessment. From the get-go, Roy was lovely and very helpful. I showed him photos of the original state of the ring and he assured me that if anyone could get it back to its original state, his jewelers could. The whole team went above and beyond with the ring. It ended up requiring a rare head that needed to be ordered from abroad. Roy kept me in the loop the entire time. When I got my ring back, I was BLOWN AWAY! It looked better than it did before the accident. The gold shined brighter; the details were just stunning. I also had the ring resized and soldered to my wedding band and the fit and design are just incredible. This place has been top of the line in services every visit. They first fixed/repaired the brackets on a loose stone in a family ring and polished it up making it look brand new. I later went back to have a special ordered stone added into the ring as well and it turned out flawless. Having been to Alaska many years ago, I was familiar with the Gold in Quartz jewelry. I didn't get the jewelry during my last visit to Alaska (although my sister got a pendant) and I promised myself if I ever returned to Alaska, I would purchase Gold Quartz jewelry. I did some research and found that 5th Ave had good reviews so after walking thru Anchorage pricing pieces, I stopped in. Heather and Roy were great to work with and I definitely recommend 5th Ave jewelers to everyone. So great, that during my visit I called my sister and she was able to find a ring via photos and phone that matched her pendant from years ago. I got my engagement ring and my wedding ban from Kays. My main stone came loose so I took it back to Kays, They claimed they fixed it but they didn't! So when I lived in Oregon I found a place to take care of it. I moved back to Alaska and my main jeweler had retired. I was super scared to try some place new. I did research and 5th Ave had high reviews and great ratings. So I finally decided to make the jump and trust 5th Ave with my rings. Once we got married pairing my rings made them too tight. So I needed them resided so they would fit on my finger together. I also needed them replated and just touched up. They only took a week to be done where as Kays took 3 weeks for one ring. I picked them up and they were perfect! They sized them spot on and they feel amazing and look amazing! I am so happy and will be using them in the future when I need them fixed again!
