In October, I paid three visits to the salon for a gel manicure. Over the course of the first visit, I had three different techs attend to my nails, which I thought was unusual. I had asked for the techs not to file the tops of my nails and they argued with me that they needed to do so in order to remove my past gel. I've always been able to soak and buff them off--I hate to have a file on my natural nails since it weakens them. I was surprised they put up such a fight about it. Two days later, my nails began to tear. I went back and they were very interested in who did my nails. There were three people, I could only remember Katie. Another person fixed my nails, and they used an acrylic powder on one nail. It looked thick and shaped different from the other nails. They did not charge me. Within a week, my nails began to chip so I went back. They re-did my nails at no cost and on the torn acrylic nail, there was a purple/green colored segment of my natural nail. I asked about it and they sent someone to look at it. They declared it was a bruise, but I insisted there was no trauma to the nail. It wan't at the nail bed, it was up where the tear was. It's months later, and I can tell you, it's been diagnosed as a nail fungus. The woman who put the powder on my nail repair allowed liquid in and now I have a green growth under my nail. It is growing out and should be gone by next month. It shouldn't take three visits to a salon to get your nails done and you shouldn't leave with nail fungus. read more

Awful and slow. Girl who did my manicure was completely not interested in giving requested service. My first time with a guy named Dom was great. I almost walked out in this one. I have been here 1 HR and 45 min and she is just finishing the pedicure that was very lame and weak. Save your money! Never again!! read more

I was looking for a place to get a quick polish change on my toes and a french polish on my nails. I called an hour before and they got me in. The place is quiet and clean, and the women were very nice. The polish change on my toes was $15, and fingers $10 + $5 for french. But for simply a polish change, they did a bit of cuticle work and massage on my feet, which was nice and unexpected. Here's my favorite part. I'm REALLY picky about french tip polish. If I could do it myself, i would, and I really hate paying for it when it comes out badly. But Sophie did such an amazing job, they were really beautiful. Completely freehand, and exactly the colors I love. I am SO glad I found somewhere convenient, affordable, and experienced to get my nails done. And it's a five minute walk from work. I never need to make an appointment, and I always walk out with fabulous mails. The place is clean, the staff always pay attention to detail, and I love the final outcome. No chatting, but I don't want that anyway. They're mani-pedicurists, not best buddies or therapists. read more

I went in thinking it was going to be reasonable pricing and good service. I got Dip polish and it is all over the place and looks awful!! They did not file my toe nails and look terrible!! Then I get up the the counter and I tipped 20% and then because it was dip she insisted on having a bigger tip. I hated the experience and quite frankly none of them should get a tip. read more

This is one of my favorite nail salons! it's CLEAN, if you're lucky you can score free parking, AND they have gel nail color.

I love 5th Avenue Nails but the services is so slow, I went with my mom and my sister and they could not accompany all 3 of us at the same time. The staff is so nice and they will do any design you ask for. read more

I don't know why the naysayers. I am just finishing up my pedicure here and have had a delightful time. It's about $10 higher than my usual salon (gift certificate) but also included some wonderful extras. Hot stones and a very long leg massage. My chair worded better than at my other salon. Love this place! They always do a great job.I continuously go in for shellac manicures. They last longer than any other place I've gone to (3 weeks, sometimes 4). Super friendly staff as well. I have had just about every staff member do my nails/toes and they all do a fantastic job. Very clean establishment and easy to get an appointment. Would highly recommend! read more

Walked in with my husband for pedicures and decided to do a mani as well. They got us settled quickly and price was super reasonable. The classic mani/pedi both included a massage, hot stone, and hot towel. All 100% wonderful and relaxing! Will definitely come back again! read more

This place has gone way downhill. Last month I got a pedicure and while waiting for it to dry, the woman who does massages asked to help remove the paper they put between your toes. She then rubbed all of the polish off one toe while testing whether my nails were dry. When I asked if she was going to repaint it she told me nothing was wrong even though one toe had no almost no polish. I then had to ask several women for help fixing that toe. Rather than redo the nail, the woman who helped me stuck an extra coat of polish on my nail and told me I'd have to wait a while for it to dry. I decided to go back yesterday thinking maybe I'd just had one bad experience but I was in the pedicure chair with my feet in water for 40 minutes before anyone came to do my nails. After that wait, it was close to closing time so a woman came to the pedicure chair and started cutting my cuticles, no oil, no water soak. This woman then told me she was in a hurry because she hadn't been allowed lunch that day and proceeded to put globs of polish on my fingers. Today, my pedicure has yet to dry and is now smudged on every toe and my fingernails are filed at all different lengths. For $70 this service is horrible. read more

I paid extra for the OPI nail polish (not the gel) that's supposed to last longer than the normal, I think 7 days. I got my nails done on a Friday and by Monday, they were chipping. I went back to show them and to get them re-polished. Yuri, the nail tech, asked me if I wanted a polish change and I told her no, I don't want to pay for a polish change, I'd already paid extra to have that particular polish. I wanted them re-polished for free. The nail polish didn't work as promised. She rudely re-polished my nails and spoke in their language with another lady. I understood two words, polish change and cheap. I certainly hope she was talking about the nail polish being cheap, because there's no possible way to get your nails done at 5th AVE Nails and be cheap! That was very poor customer service and she was very rude. Nail shops are a dime a dozen. I will not get my nails done at 5th Avenue Nails, again and I will not refer them to anyone. read more

I got the best gel manicure I've ever had here. It lasted 3 weeks with no chipping - enough said!!! Can't wait to go back.

A customer came in this morning and mention she was getting her nails done across the street, so I went and check it out since it was time for my new manicure. It's kinda hidden but if u know where u are going its no problem. Well I walked in around 6pm with Eva(my coworkers daughter) and we were greeted right away and asked what we needed done today. So I always get a gel manicure and Eva picked out a pretty orange for her. It was a bigger place then I expected first of all, and I liked it to be honest. Sara ended up helping me and I'm glad she did!!! She was friendly and talkative and her English was great! She was honest about everything and I love that on people. My nails look great and so do Eva's plus ready for it?? It was only $45 for my gel French manicure and her regular manicure!!! I was going to Coco nail salon where it was $40 just for my gel mani!!! Turns out its the same owner!? weird since they are charging $5 more for the same thing over there. I received what was without a doubt the worst pedicure I have ever had. All tolled, it may have taken between 15 and 20 minutes. At best this was a glorified polish change. There was NO soak time, NO work on the cuticles, and almost no work on the callouses, which I had brought to the tech's attention. My toes weren't even cleanEd. Having been in Alaska for 3 months hiking, my callouses did indeed need work. This was not the first time I had been to this salon, but it will be the last. The manicure was OK. read more

This was truly an awful experience. The staff does NOT understand English. They are rude and VERY rough. The pedicure chairs DO not work and the "owner" came out several times to "fix" them. Avoid this PLACE. #awful read more

It took 2 hours to get a pedicure. Over an hour of that time I was sitting in a chair with nobody working on me. The pedicure looks like all other pedicures, but if you ever want to leave within a reasonable amount of time and get on with your life, I'd recommend trying somewhere else! read more

I have tried this place twice recently and both times the result was the same--the manicure lasted less than a week. For $25 that is a bad deal. In Orange County, CA, I get a manicure for $13 and it lasts for three weeks. Not recommended. read more

This is the ONLY salon I will go to. I have had a gel manicure by each technician there and I have only had phenomenal service and amazing manicures. Each friend that I convince to go has said it was the "best manicure" they have ever had. Love this salon!! read more
