    SHRIMP BIRYANI

My food was ok. My favorite was the cheese naan with the brown chutney sauce, however, I have no idea what it's called because my waiter was not very attentive. The young man wouldn't speak to me and barely spoke to my husband. Also the young lady was just running around everywhere and had no time to help us. The shrimp biryani was tasty but not fresh, and with less than desirable customer service, I'm not inclined to return

Points of reference: I married into an South Indian family and I'm familiar with their cuisine. Also, I am vegan. For my first visit here, I had to get dosa. I usually get Mysore Masala Dosa but I decided to try Rava Masala Dosa. It was very hearty and not too spicy (they probably toned it down for me). The sambhar was flavorful and not very spicy, either (I wonder if they adjust it.) I had to come back the next night. I decided on mix veg pakora and bagara baigan (which was new to me). I probably ordered too much food, but it was so delicious that I couldn't stop myself. They may have slipped a piece of paneer in the pakora by mistake. What was probably not a mistake was the chili pepper in the pakora. Whoa, that was spicy! The bagara was so savory that my mouth is watering right now as I type. I'm so glad that I tried it. I cant believe I ate the whole thing. Service was friendly and prompt. My server shared the wifi password with me. I was pleasantly surprised by how good 5th Element was. I will definitely return if I am ever in this area again.

Listen I am picky but this hands DOWN is the best Indian food that I have had in Daytona!! I went to this restaurant just before my trip to St. Lucia and as soon as I got home, I ordered them again because my mom ate all of my food when I was gone. Pictured is the vegetable samosas. Everything was absolutely delicious the rice perfectly cooked and fragrant, the chicken, tender full of flavor. The chicken is like an Indian version of a quesadilla. DELICIOUS!! The vegetable samosas were also perfect as well and they were all paired with your normal sauces. I can't speak much about the service because I did an online order. I will say I was greeted when I walked in and my food was ready. They have a loyal customer I will literally be back monthly

Our eyes were way bigger than our stomachs. We got so much delicious food at a very reasonable price. Just be aware that they mean business with the spice level. So, if you are even a little bit of a spice wimp go with mild. I love this place and will continue to go back again and again

Anyone who is going to be spending a day at the Speedway should seriously pick up lunch here and pre-game. Their lunch was cheaper than anything that I would've gotten inside the Speedway and it came with rice, chicken 65, curried protein or veg of your choice, lentils, and naan. Considering I was about to spend all day at Welcome to Rockville, I needed all the food I could get, and it was pretty tasty. Definitely a great value for under $15. That beats most fast food restaurants these days.

Been here a few times by myself, Sabi helped me both times and was really helpful and prompt with service. She made great suggestions, tonight i pretty much let her tell me what to try based on my tastes and she hit out the park! For my appetizer i had this indian version or ginger chicken, but it was vegetarian and made with cauliflower. I had to remind myself halfway through it wasnt chicken. But for my entree I had this grilled chicken thigh dish with lime lemon and onion with other spices and herbs with a side of garlic naan and it was the most tender succulent flavor-full chicken i have had in a long time. I dont leave reviews often but 5th element and Sabi earne

3.5 Stars based on their Sunday brunch; rounding up to 4 to give them the benefit of the doubt. We've had many many Indian Buffets and restaurant experiences and have grown to experience excellent Indian dishes and understand what is passible vs outstanding. Our first experience with 5th Element was via their Sunday Brunch. Unfortunately, it was not the best first taste of their food. Many of the fried items were very dry. For the other dishes, the flavors were there, as was the heat, but the overall impressions were that some of the food tasted reheated. Maybe it was the way the buffet was on the second of the two weekend days they have a buffet. The cost was just under $17 a person. I liked the dal and the vegetarian meatballs but the Gulab Jamun desert was oddly tougher than any others we'd had before. The Byriani rice dishes were good as well as their Kheer desert. Note: They do not keep up with social media (have not claimed their Yelp listing) and do not answer their emails or messages, nor do a great job with advertising themselves, so it was very difficult to get a simple answer as to when and what times they have a buffet and how much it is. So, I'm going to try to order some dishes during the week that will be To Go, and compare it to our OK but not excellent first impressions of this place, nor just a repackaged version of what's currently out on their buffet.

If you are looking for a warm and charming place to tickle your tastebuds, look no further! The menu is a passport to flavors that will amaze you. Inside, you will see descriptions of the different regions and their unique contributions to the culinary world. The staff treated us like a family and allowed us extra time to finish dinner without rushing us out the door as they were closing for the evening. My recommendations are the mango lassi, potato and onion dosa, butter chicken, lamb vindaloo, and the garlic naan

This place has consistently good food! Our entrees, rice and naan were great and service was fast and efficient. Don't let the strip mall scare you away but they also do a ton of takeout! This place can bring the heat if you request it! Prices are very reasonable for the quantity.

We stopped here for lunch today. We took the buffet, it's was 18$. There were decent amount of options in the buffet. Some of the items were just okay, but rest weren't that good. The service was okay though. There is plenty of parking in the complex. I wouldn't recommend this place unfortunately.

We got the lamb biriyani and the butter chicken! The lamb biriyani was spicy and flavorful and it came with two "sauces" on the side, one of them being some kind of yogurt. The butter chicken did not have the same "butter chicken" taste and it was very different at this location. Was trying to see a different Indian restaurant other than the usual Masala down the street. The ambiance inside is a bid old school but the service was amazing! The server was attentive and kind with the whole dinner. Hopefully their butter chicken improves in the future!

Very disappointed with my experience. Went in during lunch because of chole bhature cravings. Ordered them only to be disappointed by it. The bhature were very oily and small. The chole was only spices and no flavor. They literally picked up the chole and bhature from the buffet they were having to serve us despite ordering from the menu. The chicken 65 we ordered was a decent one as it was freshly made. The service and ambiance were good though! But not the food

The location of this restaurant does not give it justice. Located in a strip center off of International Speedway Blvd. behind Wendy's and Starbucks, 5th Element is a hidden gem. Upon walking in you'll see flowers, a Buddha statue, and plenty of safety protocol posters up (for Covid). There are televisions in every corner of the restaurant playing Indian music videos, you can smell the aroma of multiple curry's and stews cooking in the kitchen, and the array of colors throughout the restaurant - an experience of the 5 senses for sure. They have lunch specials that consist of "boxed lunches" with an array of smaller portions within the box. I ordered the chicken saag, mild. Really delicious dish consisting of spinach, garlic, chicken, and spices. The meal comes with rice but I also ordered a side of plain yogurt. We had naan (traditional Indian bread) served alongside our food. Can I just say, 10 out of 10 on the bread! Warm, slightly crispy but soft and perfectly baked. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Last but not least, we tried the mango ice cream for dessert. OMG, thee best dessert I have had in a very long time. It's a perfect ending to a savory meal. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant. The staff is wonderful, very kind and willing to answer questions about the menu, punctual, and down to earth. Great experience, I will be back!

The menu offers a wide range of traditional Indian dishes, and I really appreciate that they allow you to customize the spice level to your preference. That makes it accessible whether you're new to Indian food or someone who enjoys a little heat. The daily lunch buffet is also a big plus, especially if you want to sample different dishes in one visit. The food itself is good and well-prepared, with solid flavors and generous portions. That said, it does feel like the kitchen leans toward catering to the general market. The spice profiles are toned down, and while that makes the dishes approachable, it slightly softens the authenticity you might expect from a more traditional Indian restaurant. One subtle indicator of that broader appeal is the wine list -- something you don't often see emphasized in more classic, traditional Indian establishments. That being said, Ammrit strikes a reasonable balance. It offers familiar, comfortable Indian cuisine that works well for a wide audience while still delivering recognizable flavors and quality ingredients. If you're looking for dependable Indian food in South Daytona with flexible spice options and a welcoming atmosphere, it's definitely worth a visit.

We started with cauliflower Manchurian, onion pakoda, samosa chaat, and Chicken 65--everything came out fresh, crispy, and full of flavor. For the entrees, we tried the mixed meat platter, the curries were extremely delicious from madras, tikka, makhani to Kerala fish curry, and the Chettinad cashew coconut chicken curry with black pepper. Each dish was so flavorful fresh and the spices were so aromatic. The naan was excellent across the board--garlic, classic, cheese and especially the date Peshwari naan... SO delicious. Slightly sweet, soft, and honestly a must-order. Yum yum yum! We ended the meal with dessert & chai. Had the traditional dessert ras malai, gulab jamun, carrot halwa, and rabri a new dessert that the chef was making all with masala chai--such a warm, sweet and flavorful finish. We even had the soomph palate finisher at the end. Exceeded our expectations what a treat from the moment we walked in to the ending! This place is a gem that delivers on every level--from ambiance to flavor to service. The restaurant itself is spotless, modern, and inviting, with a relaxed upscale vibe that fits perfectly with its beachside surroundings. Plenty of parking makes it easy to pull in, settle down, and enjoy a proper meal without any hassle. We started off strong with the cauliflower Manchurian and onion pakoda--both came out fresh, hot, and perfectly crisp. You can tell right away when a kitchen respects texture, and they nailed it. The samosa chaat was layered with flavor, and the Chicken 65 brought just the right kick--crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and seasoned beautifully. For mains, we explored a bit, and everything felt thoughtfully prepared rather than rushed. The mixed meat platter was generous and well-balanced, the Kerala fish curry had that deep, coastal spice profile, and the cashew coconut chicken curry with black pepper had a rich, aromatic heat that lingered in the best way. Every dish carried depth--nothing tasted one-dimensional. Of course, no Indian meal is complete without naan, and both the garlic and regular versions were excellent. But the real standout? The Peshwari naan--slightly sweet from chopped dates, soft, and just indulgent enough to feel special. That alone is worth coming back for. The drink selection is another plus--they've got a solid lineup of wines, beers, and spirits if you're in the mood to pair your meal. And considering the quality and portion sizes, the pricing feels more than fair. We wrapped things up with a full spread of desserts--ras malai, gulab jamun, carrot halwa, and a warm cup of masala chai. Each one hit that comforting, traditional note you hope for at the end of a great Indian meal. This isn't just another Indian restaurant--it's a place that clearly cares about doing things right. Whether you're a local or just passing through between Jacksonville and Orlando, this is absolutely a stop worth making.

Located along a building with another Indian restaurant and market and even a Vietnamese restaurant, this place has plenty of parking and quite spacious inside. We love Indian food and are always open to trying out new restaurants. We have not been to India (on the list of countries we plan on visiting) so not familiar with the street food on their menu so we opted for the more familiar options. My wife ordered the Butter Chicken combo ($20.99) and I tried one of the chef's specials, Bhatti Ka Murg combo. The combo came with basmati rice, butter naan and a desert called Gulab Jamun. My wife's combo also came with a samosa. The butter chicken was good...that sauce, which turned out to be the same sauce for the bhatti ka murg, was full of flavor. The naan was OK...nothing special and we've had much better naan. The rice serving was a bit chintzy. The desert was OK. My dish had decent flavor but definitely better dipped in that sauce. Having to content with bones from chicken thigh meat and drum stick meant I had to work for it but not too bad. While our meals had good flavors, we thought flavors and portions we had at Amrit Palace in Ocala were just as good if not better with more generous portions. We would often have leftover food to take home after a meal at Amrit. Lunch for 2 with tip was just under $54.

The accompanying sambar and chutneys were fresh and full of depth. Truly reminded me of the kind you'd get back home or from a proper street stall in India. *Vada Golden, crisp on the outside and soft on the inside--these savory lentil fritters were served piping hot and paired beautifully with the coconut chutney. Comfort food at its finest. *Cut Mirchi A spicy, crunchy treat that packed a punch. The atmosphere is beautiful and I always feel like I have walked into a different kind dining experience. It's relaxing and a lot nicer than many of the local restaurants around here. I feel that it has a quiet nuanced feel that is simply elegant. I ordered the Create your own course because I wanted more. I was in time for the lunch special that they serve Tuesday-Thursday from 11-3 but that wasn't what I was looking for. When coming here I just wanted to enjoy my idea of the meal I can create. The create your own course is just that and for $40.99 you receive an "appetizer, entree, dessert served with two sides, naan or tandoori roti and sauce. If you would like an additional entree and two sides it's only an additional $16.99. Extremely reasonable for the amount of food you receive and how well the food is prepared and the service you get here. My favorite is the Chicken Vindaloo which is Chicken, chili, tomato and it has a little coconut in it. It's a spicy dish but a little tangy too. I love that the heat is flavorful and not overpowering that you cannot taste all the spices in the dish. The tandoori roti I enjoy thoroughly it pairs very well with this dish, I've had the Peshawari naan which is filled with cherries, coconut flakes, cashews and raisins and this is so different and delicious more of a dessert you must try too. I also had the chick pea salad and this is a mix of chick peas, lettuce, red onion, cherry tomatoes and cilantro. Nothing out of this world but refreshing. Last time I was here I had the Samosa Chaat for a starter it was so good! It's a potato turnover with chickpeas layered with chopped onions, yogurt, tamarind, mint chutney, and so flavorful! The Dal soup is also very nice it's a smooth mild soup made with yellow split pea lentils, some ginger and just the right amount of garlic. So many choices here and I'll keep coming back so I can be sure to try everything in the menu at least a few times! I have had dessert and I really enjoyed this as well wanting to try something different than I can get in most restaurants so I tried the Gulab Jamun that is a deep fried dumpling soaked in a sweet syrup that is infused with rose water and coconut. I don't know what to expect but I absolutely loved this and it wasn't as sweet as I thought it might be it was very pleasant and a mild flavor but truly delicious!
