Each and every time I've dined at Amrit it has been an experience I'm grateful for. The service is always wonderful and the food just as good. The atmosphere is beautiful and I always feel like I have walked into a different kind dining experience. It's relaxing and a lot nicer than many of the local restaurants around here. I feel that it has a quiet nuanced feel that is simply elegant. I ordered the Create your own course because I wanted more. I was in time for the lunch special that they serve Tuesday-Thursday from 11-3 but that wasn't what I was looking for. When coming here I just wanted to enjoy my idea of the meal I can create. The create your own course is just that and for $40.99 you receive an "appetizer, entree, dessert served with two sides, naan or tandoori roti and sauce. If you would like an additional entree and two sides it's only an additional $16.99. Extremely reasonable for the amount of food you receive and how well the food is prepared and the service you get here. My favorite is the Chicken Vindaloo which is Chicken, chili,tomato and it has a little coconut in it. It's a spicy dish but a little tangy too. I love that the heat is flavorful and not overpowering that you cannot taste all the spices in the dish. The tandoori roti I enjoy thoroughly it pairs very well with this dish, I've had the Peshawari naan which is filled with cherries, coconut flakes, cashews and raisins and this is so different and delicious more of a dessert you must try too. I also had the chick pea salad and this is a mix of chick peas, lettuce,red onion, cherry tomatoes and cilantro. Nothing out of this world but refreshing. Last time I was here I had the Samosa Chaat for a starter it was so good! It's a potato turnover with chickpeas layered with chopped onions, yogurt, tamarind, mint chutney, and so flavorful! The Dal soup is also very nice it's a smooth mild soup made with yellow split pea lentils, some ginger and just the right amount of garlic. So many choices here and I'll keep coming back so I can be sure to try everything in the menu at least a few times! I have had dessert and I really enjoyed this as well wanting to try something different than I can get in most restaurants so I tried the Gulab Jamun that is a deep fried dumpling soaked in a sweet syrup that is infused with rose water and coconut. I don't know what to expect but I absolutely loved this and it wasn't as sweet as I thought it might be it was very pleasant and a mild flavor but truly delicious! Amrit Palace was so good. It really has an upscale luxurious feel to it. It was really busy on a Friday night. We didn't make reservations but probably should have. We only had to wait 20 minutes, which was lucky. The food was amazing. I ordered the Chicken Vindaloo with rice and dal soup. The chicken was tender and tasty. My only complaint is that I ordered it extra hot and I would say it was more hot than extra hot. We got garlic naan to share. They have a good cocktail list too. I ordered the Mango Monsoon. Amrit palace is beautifully decorated. It has a peaceful vibe. It's dimly lit which adds to that aesthetic. The menu is pretty expansive with chicken and lamb entrées as well vegetarian. I ordered the chicken tikka masala with side of basmati rice and crispy cabbage. They put onions and peppers in the sauce which I have never seen before but it added a nice crunchiness to the dish. The chicken was so nice and tender it melted in my mouth. The flavor of this dish was amazing. Everything was delicious. Our server was very attentive. Finally made it to this wonderful place! I've been in the area for seven years and had only ordered takeout once--so I'm not sure why I waited so long to dine in because everything was fantastic. The food, the service--everything was superb. We had the tandoori chicken, lentil soup, and tikka masala, and every dish was flavorful and perfectly prepared. We'll definitely be returning. We also ordered a specialty cocktail that's no longer on the menu, and our server went out of their way to make it happen--such great service! I also love that you can customize the spice level. One person in our group requested no spice but was mistakenly served a spicy dish; it was handled quickly and without any issue. This place was absolutely delicious! We ended up selecting this place since they were open on Christmas night, and I was a bit nervous since I normally struggle with lots of spices. However, here, you can select your spice level for each meal. At other Indian Cuisine restaurants I have been to, you're limited on the menu option due to your spice level. I got the Butter Chicken (Spice Level: Mild) with Basmati Rice and the Dal Soup, and I enjoyed every bite. I also got the Lychee Martini, and it was delicious as well. The restaurant is super cute and has Indian designs throughout which add a nice touch. The staff was also extremely kind and helpful. I was dining alone, so inwas sat at a two top along the wall, a very handsome and soft spoken man was my server, and alas I didnt get his name. He was attentive and kind and very prompt. I ordered the meat samosas, and an order of Butter Chicken, Cabbage and something else. The samosas were delightful. I ate one and brought the 2nd home. We found this place while driving on the turnpike in Florida with a beautiful sign on the road heading north thought we would give it a shot. The atmosphere was very authentic and delightful. The rating says it's 4.5 stars and it is absolutely worth every bit of it. The ambience as you will see in the pictures is really cool for a place in Northern Florida. Food was absolutely excellent and delicious. We ordered the butter chicken and Service was six minutes from the time we sat down to the delivery to the table. I gave the non-which was garlic and the butter chicken five stars and Godwin, our server was super, super professional, fast and efficient ask for him. You will never go wrong. This was one of the first places we visited while on a house hunting trip to the area. My wife and I had lunch here with our realtor and we all loved our dishes. My wife and our realtor both ordered the Chicken Korma ($19.99) and I had the Butter Chicken ($18.99). We then shared a couple orders of Garlic Naan ($4.99). Portions were generous and dishes had bold flavors we've come to expect of Indian cuisine. Service was friendly and attentive. The value was not exactly there but the flavors made it all worth it. what the heck happened here? Amrit was great food. Did they get whipped by immigration policies? Bad nite? New chef formerly the dishwasher? New owners? Nice interior make-over. Much smaller menu, no okra or eggplant, onion kulcha and other faves. Even the mango lassi was meh. 3 different shrimp dishes tried, all failed for flavor. 4 dull sides to choose from. Garlic naan lacked any garlic flavor. Perhaps a garlic was waved over it. Amrit was as good as it got. As good as London, NY and Vietnam Indian restaurants. Guess it's over. The food was delicious. I tried their weekend buffet. There was a good variety of starters, main course items, rice and desserts. The food was absolutely delicious. Their chole bhature have my heart. Will be going back to buffet again hoping they have those again. I also have to say they have a decent selection of chutneys and stuff. My only thing is that I do wish they had bowls for stuff like sambhar. They did very tiny ones in the dessert area but like I go for the food. And fhe food was fantastic 10/10. A friend selected this restaurant as part of our travels and I am glad she did. We stopped in at lunch time and I was a bit concerned that there were no others in the restaurant. That concern quickly disappeared when we were quickly and pleasantly seated. The menu had an abundance of excellent choices with good descriptions and the servers also provided their recommendations. The decor was really beautiful and I would guess this would be a great spot for a nice date night. I felt like I was in a palace. Everything from the drinks to the appetizers to the main meal were all delicious. The portions were a nice size but since we were passing through, we opted not to take our leftovers. This place was great! Where I live, which is about an hour from this restaurant, we have no Indian food other than a food truck. I was so excited to try this place with my daughter and son-in-law. We were greeted by a friendly server, who was funny and very helpful. I don't even think he wrote anything down! The flavors of the food or spot on and I wish I had pictures, but we ate our food so fast because it smelled so delicious and we were hungry. My husband and I have been to India and I can tell you that these flavors are authentic and it tasted like we were back on vacation in India. They are remodeling, so the back room was the only thing that was open, but it was lovely, and I love the chandeliers that hung over our heads. The food here is great and I love the friendly service. They also have great cocktails. They are doing a lot of renovations inside so it's a little wonky to dine in but not terrible. The first time we sat in the main dining room and there were loud saws and machinery during our whole meal. The second time we sat in the new room they were working during our first visit and it was very nice but there was still plastic everywhere and people dining in the small hallway. That being said, I ordered the saag lamb hot ( level 8 spicy) with pashwarmi naan and rice. Excellent meal. Most of the time I order a Palek Paneer but this time I had the lamb and it was delicious!! The spicy heat balanced really well with the sweet Naan. I love different flavors and this was well done. This was a random stop as well. I was here on the Ocala area to pick up something that wasn't here so I made up for it by ordering lunch. This made my long trip worth it. I looked this up via Yelp and it made my day better.
