Currently my dog is being trained as a service dog, and I was ecstatic that I was able to get him started on his first task in my first session! I feel like they took great care in evaluating my dog for themselves and taking my own experience into consideration. I have been able to use things I've already taught my dog to further his training and it's even made me feel more confident as a dog handler. I love that they're a local business, and that they build a real connection with your pet. My dog who's usually aloof with people enjoys their company and even listens to them when I'm around which NEVER happens. I feel like their training methods are fair, and I like that they explain why they make suggestions for me. They're always willing to answer any of my dumb questions about their recommendations, without being condescending or holier than thou. I've enjoyed working with them so much I've already decided to do sports training and maybe even a board and train. Their prices are affordable which is an uncommon thing with training in chicago. I had a hard time finding someone within my budget, but I don't feel like I receive discount training. I feel like I don't have to be rich to provide training for my dog. All dogs can benefit from training (and all humans since it's usually us who has to make the biggest changes) and I'm so happy I found trainers I trust and can afford right in chicago. They are unethical (lied about the pup and breeder they were supposed to have been in contact with) and incredibly disorganized. They also tried to tell me that puppy raising board and train was equivalent to weekly in-house trainings. Nothing made any sense. I lost $3000 due to their "No refund policy" (they never even met the dog they were supposed to train), but I decided to cut my losses and run instead of staying with them and progressing with whatever program they were going to do. Please learn from my mistakes.

I received a second call from Denise this evening explaining in more detail why she did not return…read moremy call in a timely manner in September concerning a much needed appointment for my dog. It all made good sense and we have all been in situations where were have made mistakes due to circumstances that life presents. Denise offered to see my dog free of charge and while she was offering me an explanation she was not making excuses for not returning my call sooner. So while I have since resolved my dog's problem with her arhritis-at this stage-and don't require the free appointment it was kind of her to offer it to me. So I'm hoping all of you can also give her a chance as well. By the way, my dog is taking Cosequin-which I purchased from our vet-and is now able to walk on all four again, allow me to chase her all over the house with her fuzzy purple bug-eyed toy in her mouth, (her favorite game!), and while she isn't able to take long walks like the old days she is able to take short ones. But check with your vet or Denise about Cosequin before giving it to your dog and please don't buy something that may not be the real deal to save a few pennies. Denise, I wish you good luck with your new business and perhaps in the future I may take you up on your offer.
