A cozy cabin feel, with a home cooked meal! The food was delicious. I got the vegetable omelette with avocado, biscuit, and hash browns. The omelette was delicious with grilled onions and other vegetables like mushrooms. The hash browns were also delicious and perfectly crispy in all the right areas. The biscuits were grandmas biscuits. It was naturally made, rolled and yummy. I didn't try the other food but from what my family said, it was good as well. I will return! Side note: the only reason I gave it a 4 star was because of my husband response, he said it was good but I think he would have preferred the peach flapjacks. However, they were sold out at the time. I stumbled upon this gem after cycling in Fairburn. The food is amazing and the service was great. I had the salmon patties and they were delicious. We sat on the patio and enjoyed watching the cars pass. The waiter recommended some great dishes and was very pleasant. The restaurant is owned by a Black family and it seems like they are doing well. If you are in the area, you should give them a try. read more

The food was great! I had the Big Chew (bacon, cheesy grits and scrambled eggs) and my hubby had a ham, cheese, and mushroom omelet with cheesy grits. The food was fresh, hot and super tasty AND the portions were generous. Both meals came with homemade biscuits which were EPIC. Finally, we shared an order of blueberry "flapjacks" which were light and fluffy. The blueberry compote was equally awesome. Only con to speak of was the service - our server was very sweet but also extremely slow and not very attentive; maybe it was an off day? Either way, we will be back! read more

Bernard, Bernard, Bernard this is my second time here since moving to Douglasville from New York and this is going to be one of my sister's and I frequent places for a better than home cooked breakfast. Your pancakes are huge and fluffy, just melt in your mouth. The bacon was crispy but not overdone. I got scrabbled eggs with cheddar cheese light scrabble and man oh man was it just great. Last time I got salmon cakes and they were "slamming". Even the coffee was smooth but rich. I have nothing but fantastic things to say about this place and the owner chef. We froze in the place no heat. Toilet would not flush. Not to mention food was served an hour later we were a guest of 4 and the only ones on there at the time. We found fried or very buttery options we available seasoned mainly with table salt for exorbitant prices. So we found THIS cafe with more options available at more than half the price. Customers be prepared to seat yourself when you arrive & snag your own menu at the door! I was looking awkward at first but a customer told me to sit anywhere available. It was only one guy waiter so I had to be patient and I went ahead and read the menu to be ready for when he came to greet his self. He was a lil overwhelmed but that what comes with being the only waiter. Now let's talk about the food! Food: I had the veggie omelet w/ no cheese and it was delicious! The biscuits are homemade and soft, the flapjacks were crispy around the edges with a buttery taste and powder sugars on top, the grits were creamy and the sweet tea was good! I am so happy we found it on our way from Newnan to Atlanta. The food took about a half hour to make, but it was MORE than worth it. This is a little breakfast and brunch spot in a small town. Super cute. I will have to say, get there early as they do and will run out of food. While we were eating our food, the restaurant was only able to sit two more people and then advise the host they wouldn't be able to sit anymore people and they would be closing after. There was still a few more hours for them to be scheduled open. The food was delicious. I will have to say, they're not a condiment friendly establishment since we got ketchup packets and we waited for a table to clear to get their salt and pepper shaker. This spot is a hidden gem in Palmetto. I've lived in Fairburn for 7 years and never knew about it. My tastebuds were definitely pleased. I posted pics of what we ordered. Everything was presented well and the peppers in the potatoes added a touch of color to the plate. I would say I'm a bread pudding connoisseur lol and the bread pudding here is now in my top 5. Stopped in for an early morning breakfast on Saturday. The food is good. No frills but quality. Large portions with good flavors. Well seasoned. The prices are a little high but with the portion size I understand why they are what they are. Friendly service. All in all worth a stop. read more

A gem! And right on Main Street. The chef definitely knows what he's doing, and greets customers regularly. High fives for the biscuits, homemade sausage, hash browns, breakfast wrap and specialty pancakes. Family run - all great folks. Finally, Palmetto gets a five star breakfast. Just left from eating lunch today. It was awful! We waited about a hour for our food to come out and we were the only ones in the restaurant. We ordered the All American burger which was served still raw inside and the Crispy Chicken Sandwich which was over cooked a rubbery. I couldn't bite through the chicken while bitting into my sandwich!! Very disappointed with today's meal!! We wanted the Turkey Sandwich but they were out of turkey. We have come multiple times for breakfast and lunch here before and it was good but there was a younger cook at that time. Today there was an older cook- he never came out to apologize for the raw burger. Of course we weren't charged for the burger. Not sure what has happened to this place. My thought is the cook doesn't know how to properly cook!! read more

This was my first experience with this Restaurant. Pictures were amazing! No hash browns, raw bacon and cold grits and biscuits that had a very strong taste of yeast! and fell apart in the dish. Well that's no longer the case. Great food, super cute atmosphere and very friendly crew. The biscuits, peppered bacon with egg & cheese was delish and since my eyes are bigger than my stomach and I suffer from a lack of self control I also ordered the pimento cheese with fried green tomatoes. Wow they're fantastic. I was full halfway thru the tasty side but powered on to a full on food coma because it was too yummy to stop. The Chef came out to say hi and check on us. The restaurant had a nice southern vibe. We went for lunch and the wait was long and the restaurant was not full. My husband ordered the fried chicken sandwich with string fries. The chicken patty was over fried with no taste and lots of mayonnaise. I ordered the water cornbread with black-eyed peas, grilled corn and kale salad appetizer and loved it!!
