6th and Vine was not what I had hoped when I visited. The service at the bar was mediocre at best with the bar tender staying at the far end, not checking to see if we needed another drink while we waited on the humus app which I believe they had to go out and harvest the chickpeas for. I will say that after waiting on the appetizer for way longer than it should have taken, the humus was great! This was probably the only reason 6th and Vine received 3 stars. The inside has various kinds of seating from the bar to couches if you're just looking for a place to sit for a drink, and also tables if you're looking to enjoy dinner. Bar drinks are somewhat limited outside of the wine selection.

Sometimes you feel this Foodie lifestyle is becoming a bit boring, predictable, almost chore like - can I find a new to me place that excites, am I ignoring long time favorites? Then you have a week like I had - meals at oldies like El Camino Real, Curry and Noodle, & InDemand - mixed in with newbies of Camino Brookstown, Bleu, and today's choice, 6th and Vine - life is indeed good as a Foodie! 6th and Vine is a definite hipster spot in the Arts area of downtown - small narrow interior, long old school bar, beer list with mostly names you are not familiar with, intimate nooks, lots of outside seating, small eclectic menu, Brunch on Sat AND Sun! I decided on the Short Ribs after the bartender recommended them highly. I also went with his beer choice - New Belgium Mountain Lager - my first try on this one. It was quite good!!! The Ribs (actual 1 large, boneless rib) was out quickly. The rib was totally tender, no knife required, bursting with flavor, further enhanced by the "Fresno chili glaze" - damn this was good! The problem with a dish this good - when you come back, do you stay with this or explore the menu! The popcorn rice (a brand name I was told) was also excellent, moist and fluffy, with bits of herbs and celery. The tomato and cucumber pico was also super, coated with benne seeds ( sesame seeds to you and me) - loaded with flavor! I sat at the bar, not really a hipster move, but one I prefer more often than not. The service here was exceptional, the recommendations were spot on. All in all, simply an outstanding meal! The parking is a small concern here, but can be dealt with. This is not an inexpensive place, but I found value because of the quality of both the food and service. Ambiance - 3.5 (bar area is 4.5) Food - 5 Service - 5 Value - 4 No tipping issues or concerns here!

Came here with the kids and we got a nice table facing the street. I ordered bold rock hard cider and bf and I are sharing salmon. It looks so healthy and so does the trout!! We are a lot but it was very light and not too fattening.

Being able to walk in and immediately get sat for an amazing Sunday brunch is a luxury in Winston! We'd heard amazing things about brunch at 6th and Vine & finally got to try it. We got the maple bacon appetizer - delicious. Then the eggs Benedict and breakfast burrito for our entrees. Both were stellar, but the breakfast burrito was on another level. Love the chill vibes in here, can't wait to come back for dinner.

Let me start off by saying I was skeptical when the salmon came out- but holy smokes. This is one of the best salmon dishes iv ever tasted. It was so so perfectly cooked, and all the different elements went together in surprising and delicious ways. I will be back just for this dish. But everything they serve is amazing. The drinks are good, the atmosphere is lovely, and the service is friendly. The food is all so amazing. I used to come here a lot, and I am so glad we decided to come back for nostalgia purposes because they still have it. We will be back this week. I needed the reminder of how amazing this place is! It can be sweet enough for a date, and casual enough for a hang. Best of both worlds.

What a great time we had while hanging out here, the ambiance was on point, creating an incredible atmosphere. The vibes here were simply awesome. The food was absolutely delicious, we ordered the "French Dip Burger" and the "NC Rainbow Trout en Papillote" and omg, that burger DELIGHTFUL! ! Each bite was bursting with flavor. It honestly left me wanting more. Did I mention that they have craft cocktails, beers, and a good wine selection? And this time I have to make a hard decision and go with a cocktail and it did not disappoint, their "Vine 75" is a MUST! The staff was attentive and friendly and made us feel welcomed since we walked in. Our server went out of their way to ensure our experience was nothing less than exceptional. It all came together to create a fantastic dining environment. We couldn't have asked for a better place to relax and enjoy a delicious meal. P.S. Their backyard is amazing! Make sure if the weather is nice you get a spot there, you're going to love

First time to dine here for brunch and got seated right away! Had the breakfast burrito and it did not disappoint! Super flavorful and satisfying. I also tried the elderberry drink and absolutely loved it! It's so refreshing and unique. The outdoor seating is lovely and a great spot to relax, though I do wish there were a few more umbrellas for shade. Still, overall a great vibe and definitely worth a visit!

Brunch, lunch and dinner - 6th and vine never disappoints! A cozy bar in downtown Winston Salem with delicious food and great drink specials. We recently got to stop by for Saturday brunch and our friends decided to try their brunch pizza and aperol spritz's. The drinks were classically made and a really great price but the pizza was absolutely the star of the show! Scrambled, fluffy eggs, bacon, potato hash browns, cheese, and sausage gravy all sitting on top of a flatbread and baked. It came out and everyone grabbed a slice, inhaled it and went back for seconds. Already planning our dinner trip back soon. Thanks for a delicious meal!

BRUNCH! This place is absolutely adorable, I'm sad I just now found it. We only stopped for a "pitstop" cocktail before our lunch reservation. One look at the menu and food was ordered!! I wanted one of everything.. the breakfast pizza will change your life. I promise. So delicious. Cozy atmosphere- and cocktails were also great!!

Had the best time for dinner! The service was the best, thank you Emily!! The food was so original and good. Simple, and yet unique. At our table we had the salmon, the pork chop, shrimp and grits and the short ribs. All so good we cleaned our plates! We also had the special dessert, polenta cake with popcorn and chattily cream. Wow! Such a casual place with amazing food and a great cocktail menu. We will be back! We ate the main meals before we could grab a picture.

Stopped in for a drink and we were pleasantly surprised by everything this spot had to offer. Alejandro and Taylor have a warm welcome and offered us a table or bar seating. We went with the bar seating. Our amazing bar tender, Abby, made some great suggestions while we waited for our third guest. We had the wine flight, beer and brussel sprouts. They were all great!!! Based on that, we knew the full menu would be too. Whatever Abby suggests, go with it. Chef Michael Spencer did an outstanding job in the kitchen. We will be back. Enjoy!

Cute and cozy spot, perfect place to relax with a glass of wine. I came here the other night for a free sparkling wine tasting. I love my bubbly and never turn down a fun sampling. They had an Italian, Spanish cava and a rose. The host was really nice and personable and the bottles were all great value (no more than $30). After the tasting, I sat down at the bar and had a glass of the Italian and their special mussels with chorizo in a wine-butter sauce. The mussels were great but did take a while to come out, also not a huge deal, but there was no garlic bread served with the dish which I would've have liked to be able to enjoy some more of the sauce after I finished the mussels! Great little spot though, decent value for money, and I'd definitely add it to your downtown Winston list.

It's been about a year since I visited 6th and Vine and let's just say they're consistently fabulous! I haven't had a bad meal, drink nor experienced bad service from this place. It's my go to spot to watch the game on Sundays. For brunch they have $5 mimosas! You can't beat that. They also have other drink specials. I tried their brunch pizza with eggs, sausage and gravy, freakin amazing! I was a little apprehensive about that combination but I took the bartenders suggestion and my mouth danced. You can dine inside or outside of the restaurant. They have a nice patio to hangout on and enjoy a great meal and a pretty cocktail.

Although it's tucked away in an unassuming business district, this restaurant is truly a hidden gem. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the warm, inviting space and exceptional service. Everyone made us feel welcome, and the attention to detail throughout our meal was outstanding. We started with the Ahi Tuna appetizer, which was absolutely delicious. It was served over a bed of crisp sliced cucumbers and the most amazing vinegar coleslaw. The combination of flavors was fresh, light, and memorable. Even the warm dinner rolls were outstanding and set the tone for the meal. For our entrées, the meatloaf was everything comfort food should be. It was tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned, served over creamy mashed potatoes with fresh French green beans. We also ordered the Chef's seasonal Squash Casserole, and it was phenomenal. If it's on the menu when you visit, don't miss it. Milner's way exceeded our expectations: wonderful food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere made for a memorable evening. We will absolutely make the trip back the next time we're in Winston-Salem.

I tried the Moravian cookie-pecan crusted salmon with collard greens, zucchini. The meal was a nice size and tasted amazing. I ate every bite. For dessert, we tried the White chocolate-almond bread pudding with vanilla bean ice cream. I'm usually not a bread pudding kinda girl, but this was the exception. Like everything else, it was delicious. This was an awesome visit. HIGHLY recommend!

I didn't expect the restaurant to be busy on a weeknight, but I was obviously wrong as the parking lot was nearly full. We found a spot at the rear of the restaurant and made our way inside. We were promptly greeted and shown to our table near the fireplace. A quick glance around confirmed that the place was jumping, which is good news for any restaurant during the middle of the week. A good balance of menu options from salads, sandwiches, fish, steaks, etc. Expect to pay $20-30 per person and some entrees are ala carte. They appear to have a good selection of wine, beers and cocktails from the long list in the menu. I went with the lasagna; my wife had the fish and chips; and my colleague went with the Beast Burger. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their selection. The temperature of my lasagna could have been a tad hotter, but it wasn't enough of an issue to send it back. I would order it again. Service was good throughout our visit, but I am deducting one star for the noise level. The high ceilings give the restaurant a beautiful lodge look and feel, but they make for a very loud dining experience. The sound level at times was more like a school cafeteria in my opinion. Perhaps a table on the side of the dining room would be quieter where nearby walls could help absorb some of the noise. Bottom line: not the place for a quiet, romantic dinner.

Here's what we thought: **Goat Cheese Butternut Squash Ravioli** Delicious but my Dad thought it was a little rich. The couple of bites I tried were excellent! The chicken was moist and well seasoned. **Moroccan BBQ Pork Chop** This was the best pork chop I've ever had. Moms agreed! Dad wished he had gotten the pork chop! This was his favorite out of the three meals we tried! **Prime Rib** I had to go all in and got the 12oz. It's the best prime rib I've had in years! They serve it with au jus and creamy horseradish. That creamy horseradish is exactly the way I like it, the au jus was a nice addition and the steak was cooked perfectly! I will definitely order again! This was my favorite out of the three entrees we tried. **Crispy Brussels Sprouts** We weren't as thrilled about these as everyone else. I thought they were dry and needed something more. Maybe they didn't add enough jam and/or balsamic this time? **Chorizo Potato Soup** Very nice! The sausage wasn't too overpowering and I like the creamy broth. Different than anything I've ever had but good.

There was a 20 min wait and we were starving after a long travel day and eager to get to campus so we ate at the mediocre crepes restaurant next door instead. When we picked her up a week later I was prepared with reservations. However, when we checked in they told us they don't take reservations so it must be for their sister restaurant (oops) and the wait was even longer this time. One of the hostesses mentioned there would be seating clearing at the bar within minutes, which was good enough for us. We sat down 3 minutes later and ordered a few minutes after that. My daughter went for a cheeseburger which she happily ate stating that the food at Wake was NOT good all week. My husband enjoyed his turkey club and packed the other half for his flight later that evening (lunch and dinner). I went with the crab cake appetizer, which I thought was just OK. It was only a few dollars cheaper than the sandwich so I probably should have gotten that instead, but didn't want to be tempted with the bread and fries. We were in and out within 30 minutes, which I appreciated since we had a drive to Chapel Hill ahead of us. Overall, it was a solid meal and I'm guessing a favorite for those affiliated with the campus.

No other way to describe it. I also loved the fact they served it with warm and toasted bread pieces.....added another depth of flavor to the entire bite. Entire thing was filled with crab meat as well. I'm used moreso to the chunkier style of crab dip, if that makes any sense, but whatever they did to theirs passed my test. For our entrees, we both opted for burgers. I've been waiting something that isn't a smash burger for quite sometime. No disrespect to smash burgers, but I've been wanting a thick, hand patted burger and they delivered. I ordered the tavern burger with the medium cook and a side of fries. Burger cook was perfect. One thing I loved was that the actual patty had char marks on it & it added more flavor to it. Very juicy and flavorful. Their fries were solid too....crispy yet soft in the middle. My wife got their bacon jam burger with a well done cook and she raved about how juicy it was. The cook was to her preference as well. She wasn't too impressed with the pasta salad as a side, but she did get an order of sweet potato fries and they were great as well. Finished the evening with their carrot cake and key lime pie to go and they were both delicious. Their key lime may be the best I've had in this area. Our server Morgan was awesome as well. Very attentive and helpful with the menu suggestions and explaining the things she personally liked, along with what was popular with other patrons. Their setup is odd....not saying that in a bad way, but its an older building and the layout says that. We were seated very quickly. Again, Morgan was awesome and made sure we were taken care of. The ambiance was good....very apt for a date night. Didn't get the chance to check out any of the other dishes around, but everyone seemed pleased with the service and the food. Will be back again to try some of their other entrees.

We also ordered a delicious Caesar salad to spit. Both were so good I didn't get a chance to take a picture before we started eating. For our main course, my daughter ordered the braised pork shank from the regular menu and loved it. The pork itself was ridiculously fork-tender and the candied cabbage was an incredible sweet counterbalance to the savory sauce. Easily a 9/10 dish. For me, I ordered the Duck, which was perfectly cooked (rare), a great sear, and seasoned incredibly. I was torn on whether the star of the dish was the duck or the accompanying Brussel sprouts. Regardless, a very solid 8/10. The restaurant was very kind to gift us dessert for our special occasion. I had a very happy 10 year old when she saw the dessert plate arrive. However, I think it's worth it to get all 4 and find your tastes! My main dish of the Braised Pork Shank was plentiful - so much food!! The meat came right off the bone. I wish the red cabbage was plated with the meal (it came on the side in a bowl), but otherwise, it was a splendid meal. It also made for great leftovers the next day! The blueberry limoncello crisp had such a good flavor combo! The lemon was on the more sour side, but I still liked it. The sweet cream is chef's kiss! The service was very friendly!! Our waitress was kind, and she checked in at good intervals. There were some weird changes in lighting throughout the meal. We wish the lighting had stayed dimmed in the room we were in, but it wasn't a huge deal. Overall, a great place and a great meal for a date night! My husband and I had a lovely time.

The highlight of the evening was General Manager Maya, who made us feel incredibly special. She expertly guided us through the wine-by-the-glass list and helped us discover some truly fantastic selections. Her hospitality elevated an already wonderful experience. We can't wait to come back!

I got to visit last weekend and experience their lunch menu. I've been hearing good things about this place but the menu looked simple so I was hesitant. Well it's easy to say I was very wrong about being iffy when it comes to what we were served. When we walked in we were greeted by a very friendly host who put us at a window seat which was really nice. I love having a view with my meal. The space is also very reminiscent of fine dining with the white table cloths, candles, and flowers on the table. It's also worth saying they have several lunch specials aside from what's on their regular lunch menu. Our server was also a very friendly gentleman who gave great recs when we asked. My friend got the French onion dumplings and she LOVED them. I got the brussel sprouts and with the accompaniment of the goat cheese and dried cranberries, they were probably the best I've ever had. I almost ate all of the huge bowl. I got the chicken sandwich for my meal that was dipped in a hot honey like sauce and it was also great. Very juicy and the ranch I got on the side was a great addition. I also got the truffle fries and they were super yummy. Overall an excellent experience and I'm so excited to come back and try their dinner menu. A must if you're in the Kernersville area!

Perfect spot for a girls night dinner. We came on Friday at 7pm and we're seated at a half…read morebooth/chairs section. We were a party of 7. This is in the heart of downtown Winston so parking is pretty limited but there are street spots and garages nearby. Service was good, prompt and friendly. We enjoyed a variety of cocktails and wines for beverages. Entree orders included steaks/filets, gnocchi and the fried chicken. The courses were paced nicely, giving us time to savor each bite and engage in great conversation. I really liked the Caesar salad with the fried artichoke and my filet was cooked medium as requested. The Mac and cheese side was delicious too, thick cheesy and super satisfying. I had some of my friends charred Brussels sprouts too and those were tasty as well. All in all, we were all happy with this pick! We cleared our main plates and sadly did not have room for dessert- next time! Gratuity is included (I assume it starts at parties of 6 or more). @azfitfoodfun

A very lovely evening at Jeffrey Adams on Fourth. Arrived just in time for our reservation and they…read moreimmediately seated us. A friendly server brought us water and we were able to order drinks and appetizers. The restaurant on the ground floor was not large but it was very nice looking and modern. There is an upstairs that we didn't see. The waiting area is large which is nice because I imagine at time there is a wait. It is an upscale place though you saw a variety in patrons there. Anyway, we ordered the pot roast nachos and a cup of the soup du jour which came very quickly. Both were excellent and a great start to the meal. Someone decided to bring us bread that we didn't order which was nice. It was probably a good thing the server spilled the water at our table and gave us the bread for free since we didn't order it. again, anyway, the entrees came and they looked good. Seafood risotto was cooked well, not over done. And there was a lot of it. The fried chicken was also nicely cooked. Both were under seasoned and needed salt which is not my favorite when in a restaurant such as this. However, it is also understandable. Once we were done, our server informed us that they were treating us to dessert (because it was our anniversary) and brought us their warm brown with ice cream. It was delicious. We scraped the plate clean. It was a lovely meal and lovely evening.
