They make sure you understand things correctly and they try to make sure you're comfortable with what's going on. I want to thank Dr. Lake for figuring out in a couple of minutes why my teeth had been hurting me when I chew. x-rays and exams have shown nothing wrong. I can now chew on both sides of my mouth without a problem. This issue has gone on for two years with two separate dentist check ups. they did not even think to try what he did. Thank you Dr. Scott Lake. also a shout out to Jennifer who did a deep cleaning of my teeth. A very uncomfortable process to go through that she made entertaining and bearable. I changed insurance plans and didn't have dental insurance anymore, so I called a few places shopping around for cash prices. I called 7 Day Dental Smiles and they told me for the initial visit with exam, cleaning, and x-rays it would cost $230. I booked an appointment for 1-2 months out. The day before my appointment, I called them to double check the price. I told the gal who answered that I was bringing cash and wanted to bring exact change. She calculated the price I would pay and told me it would cost $228. I came in the next day for my appointment and everything went smoothly until I had to pay. The person at the front desk tried to sell me a membership plan, which I politely refused. Then she told me my bill was $303. I told her there must be a mistake because I had just called the afternoon before and was told it would cost $228. She explained that is the base cost and it goes up from there, which is not the impression I got either time I'd called previously. I felt that they try to push their membership plan on people and then rip them off if they don't buy it. I felt that I was taken advantage of and lied to. read more

Who knew that most dentists (at least in my town) do not work on Fridays! Two weeks ago my regular dentist thought may need a root canal on and referred me to a specialist consult on the potential need for that particularly delightful treatment. I called and the earliest appointment was 7/19, nearly 6 weeks from my referral and initial call. Last Friday all hell broke loose and I was in absolute agony. I called another office hoping to get some kind of help. The best the lady could do for me was, A: she informed most dentists in town, especially specialists, don't work on Fridays and B: she pointed me in the direction of 7 Day Dental I am convinced she is part angel! I called them and the lady was eager to help me. I told her I needed 2 1/2 -3 hours to get there. She assured me she had a dentist to help me. When I arrived, I was greeted cheerfully and asked to fill out paperwork. I no sooner got the paperwork back to her and I was called to come in the back. Honestly, within about 15 minutes of arriving I was in a chair and the doctor was looking at radiographs and formulating a plan. It was a grueling job but I never felt a thing...the ride home was horrible as the novacaine wore off but once the pain killers kicked in and I got a couple hours sleep, I was a new woman! Now, let's talk money....I'm not one to kiss and tell but let me say, I was expecting something between $2500 for this little emergency but boy howdy, was I ever surprised! My teeth look and feel amazing now! I went in to 7 Day Dental Smiles because I have heard so many good things about the doctors and staff there, and everyone was right! The office was warm and welcoming & the staff was smiling and friendly. My hygienist was Melissa who did a good job making me feel comfortable and was very thorough with the cleaning- you can tell she takes pride in her work. I also had x-rays done which didn't take long at all. My exam was done by Dr. Lake. He was personable, professional, and efficient, yet didn't make it feel rushed. He was more than happy to answer any questions I had which was nice (it turns out they offer everything from Botox to Dental Implants there). I would definitely recommend them to everyone! read more

My daughter went today for a couple fillings. Worst experience of her life! She is in so much pain. They put some kind of metal spacer between her teeth, for filling? They couldn't get it out. Used 5 different tools to try and get it out while they ripped up her gum. She will not be going back! Neither will anyone else in our family. I was in town from California visiting family in northern Idaho when My tooth broke. Being on vacation I was very wary to go to any dentist but my own, but needed my tooth fixed ASAP since I wasn't returning home for a few more days. I came to 7 Day Dental Smile because they were open on a Saturday! All the staff was very fast, friendly and helpful to quickly get me in and have my tooth fixed. Dr. Rheanna Burnham was great. She quickly and confidently fixed my tooth. My tooth looks and feels great! If I lived in the area I would definitely switch to have her and this office as my primary dentist! I went here because I had chipped a front tooth on a Saturday night and hadn't established a new dentist since moving to post falls yet. They got me in right away and we're very friendly on the phone. After being numbed the dentist came in and started to file and apply the bond to my tooth. The whole time they didn't tell me what they were doing or why, just chatted between each other about their weekends and family life like I wasn't there. Super cold and bizarre. When they were done, I looked and my tooth was noticeably shorter than the other (and I'm talking my FRONT tooth). I mentioned this and she said she didn't want to make it longer because it could chip again. I have had this tooth replaced before, but it had been almost 8 years, I'd rather my teeth be the same size, and deal with this in another 8 years. I was so uncomfortable that I got up and left to pay but mentioned this to the receptionist in tears. She got up and grabbed the dentist (don't remember her name) and she met me in the lobby. She explained again she wasn't going to change it and then recommended I try Invisalign and tried to sell it to me. I had braces for three years, mind you, and they are definitely not so overcrowded that this couldn't be fixed. I couldn't believe this was how it was being handled so I just left. I had to go to another dentist, after already spending 300 dollars for a less than professional experience and feeling worse than when I went in. I definitely wouldn't go back there. The work they did wasn't great, and the dentist freaked me out. More details bellow. I've been to seven day dental smiles on multiple occasions over the years. It started when I had a dental emergency because one of my permanent front teeth fell out as a teenager, and they were the office recommended at the emergency room. Sadly after they fixed it my front teeth don't line up perfectly anymore, and I now have a gap, which I'm a little self-conscious about. I wish the Dentist had done a better job. Years latter I moved back to Post Falls. I suppose I just remembered I'd been there years before, so I went again. While I was there they recommended that all my wisdom teeth had to come out, because they explained, otherwise I might not clean them properly. When I came back for this appointment I expected I would get general anesthesia because taking out four teeth seemed like a major dental surgery to me. Instead they were going to use local anesthesia which scared me and isn't what I had been told to expect. Also the dentist's bed side manner was terrible. He and his assistant were not comforting at all, and they barely spoke to me. I never even knew their names that I can recall. When they were about to start the procedure he proclaimed " Alright time to yank your teeth out!" Which freaked me the **** out. At that point I canceled the appointment, and left. Saying I'm not comfortable with you. I'm sorry. Ever since they have been trying to get me to pay for that appointment in which they never actually did any work. Also I haven't been to a dentist since, because I think it was a traumatic experience. That being said I'm a 26 year old man; I can't even imagine how an experience like the one I had might affect a child. If you have kids keep that in mind. As I said earlier I definitely wouldn't go back there. To end on a positive note, it's been about two years, but next week I am going to see a different dentist, which I hope will go well. Dr Burnham is amazing! I recently found out she does Botox treatments. I have multiple friends and family who have it done so I called to see if we could do a Botox party. It was fantastic! We did the party onsite which made it no hassle for me. Her assistant Ashley was so gentle and iced the area before the Botox was injected. It was so much more comfortable then in the past. My results are beautiful and her price was the best I have found in the area. I will definitely have all future treatments with her!! read more

Great family dentistry. Very open hours and reasonably priced. I had a gum shot here and was the first time the shot itself didn't hurt like hell. All it takes is a little patience.
