I developed a bit of dental anxiety as an adult, but the staff at Brumbach's makes me feel comfortable and at ease. It feels like a small, intimate practice, and I'm greeted like a regular friend when I come in. The doctor and the staff are compassionate and willing to take the time to explain things and answer questions. I don't feel rushed in or out like an assembly line. I was very disappointed with this dentistry clinic because they initially accepted my insurance. In the middle of my treatment they cancel their contract with my insurance but didn't communicate with several patients. At the end, I was charged way more than the agreed amount. I tried to talk and was ignored. I find this very unprofessional and unethical. Anything that we agree upon before the start of a treatment should be honored even if one of the parties decided to change terms at some point. Very very disappointed. I work very hard to pay all my bills in time, and to be caught with a "surpise" additional bill was not fair to me or any other patients that were in the same position. read more

This place is alright. Friendly front desk. Hygienist were OK and dentist was nice, but conversations were just a little awkward and neither my wife and I were ever comfortable. The more frustrating aspect is we got charged over $50 for a comprehensive exam because insurance only allows a comprehensive exam once every two years. But the previous comprehensive exam (done within the last two years) was done by a different dentist, so insurance would cover their compressive exam. They sent the wrong codes to insurance and they were adamant about us paying the fee. Pretty ridiculous, and frustrating because previous dentist we had for 5+ years, we never paid a dime. The lack of attention with insurance codes and burdening their client is disappointing and we will be going somewhere else now. read more

In my opinion, before is touched with anything beyond a gloved hand, demand to learn that person's qualifications. This would include a hygienist. After informing the hygienist that my teeth do not floss well with dental floss, she persisted in flossing which was extremely uncomfortable. After three incidents leading to dental floss stuck between my teeth under great pressure, I stopped her and left the chair before the chair rose completely. Plackers are the only means of flossing I'm able to use. On chair side dental assistants, I later learned that my dental assistant was a recent graduate. I do not exaggerate; the dental assistant rammed a breathe way or some device in my mouth. The task was a simple filling. With lower lip now numb to pain, I could however feel that my lower lip had been forcibly rolled over my bottom front teeth. The dental assistant withdrew the device and tried again. Fortunately, on the 2nd ramming my lip was spared. Why not complain? Getting there through insurance authorizations was not fun. Nor are injections to numb the area. In hindsight I should have walked out; no doubt about it. I was treated like a cadaver. Later I called the office asking what was this swelling within my mouth. They asked for a photo. I furnished photographs. The office manager reported that I had bitten my lip! Further, if it still bothered me in a few days to return to have it looked at. This all 100% true. Apologies were offered. Talk is cheap. This shouldn't have occurred in the first place. No one was observing or supervising the ramming of the device into my mouth. It is I who still have raised flesh at the point of injury. Is it scar tissue or stretched skin? It doesn't bother me aside from feeling it with my tongue and recalling the many days of pain and healing. Though VA sponsored insurance provided the typical hurdles, there was no dispute with any entity regarding co-costs, coverage, etc. I most definitely shall Not return to that office. I did Not bite my lip. I am an honest gentleman, a disabled Veteran. I relate these experiences solely to help others. At the time I was 72 years young. I am now 73. Perhaps my age contributed to the quality of treatment. When one attains senior citizen status one experiences the view that we're suddenly useless and stupid. Others view us as impediments. Was I so viewed there? I am undecided though the question is irrelevant. However, all staff were nice. If you wish to have coffee in town with one or more of them, great. read more

I originally went to Dr. Brumbach after having THE WORST dental experience of my life at another dentist in cda. I asked on facebook who I should go to and a good friend of mine referred Dr. B. I made an appointment to get my tooth looked at (it was infected from a bad surgery at my other dentist), and Dr. B has been taking care of me ever since. He and his great staff have been super flexible with my schedule and are awesome to be around. I've been going here for about a year now and have had to go in quite a few times because of my implant surgery, and I honestly feel like I'm friends with half the people who work there. Everyone remembers who you are, and they genuinely take the time to get to know you. If you are shopping around for a new dentist, look no further. My family of 8 has been seeing the Brumbach staff for years. We appreciate that they always are willing to work around our crazy schedules and life. We moved to Spokane Valley, but continue to make the trip over to Post Falls for our dental services. I asked our seven year old if she preferred to switch to a kids dental provider with all the bells and whistles over in the Valley, but she said no way. Brumback Family Dentistry actually does treat you like family (sometimes better than!). My husband needed dental work after several years at another dentist. Dr. Brumback patiently repaired what needed to be done and made a partial that actually fit and that my husband actually wears now! The doctor also helped him with his dry mouth problems by first giving him some free samples then selling what we wanted for cost. I had been seeing Dr. Brumback for a couple of years...mainly for cleaning, but this year I needed some work done which I was very nervous about (I have not had good experiences with dentists in the past regarding extractions..have actually fainted in the chair!!) But Brumback and his crew were so conscientious and kind....no pain, no fainting...very impressed. The whole staff are great....from Jan in billing, to Connie as dental assistant (has a sense of humor) and Deanna who cleans my teeth...and Dr. Brumback who, shows compassion and believes in ensuring a good quality of life for his patients.
