Bad Experience. The help at this location needs training and the plants look sick. This is the worst garden nursery in the Beaverton area. One clerk did not know how to return an item and the other clerk did not know where to find certain plants. A guy checked out in front of me who had the sickest looking tomato plants I have ever seen. Not returning, simply too many other options, a little more driving but worth the effort to get quality plants and quality service. read more

Staff is really helpful but prices are extremely inflated. If you're looking for something rare or specific it's good to stop in, but you have to be willing to pay more than standard market price. With that said, the staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Some you have to ask for help, others will just offer. All around a great experience there. It's very clean. read more

Their landscapers use the loudest, most disruptive equipment I've ever had to suffer through. I can honestly say that landscaping is a general annoyance, but I've never before had it been so disruptive that I've developed anxiety and dread over leaf blowers and hedge trimmers. Hours and hours of noise pollution each week. Seriously, train your landscapers to use a broom or rake. read more

This is my neighborhood go-to for plants, as it's only five minutes from my house. During spring I am often in there several times a week. That said, I've found the selection to be a little lower than other nurseries around town, but the plants are almost always healthy and well-tended. And they do generally have a pretty good variety of perennials, including hostas and heuchera. Decent tree and shrub collection as well. Their prices aren't the worst I've seen, but don't expect deals. Help can be hit and miss, but Daniel always seems to be around and is a lot of fun. read more

Just left the Cedar Hills Seven Dees nursery, after driving from Camas (aboout 35 minutes) to see the reindeer. First: there's only two reindeer in a tiny pen. Second: You must purchase your cider, cocoa, & other winter treats from a food cart in the cold, cold parking lot. Third: Don't feed the reindeer with the reindeer food sitting temptingly in the tub next to the reindeer pen, or a Seven Dees employee will rush over and make you feel like the lowest life form that ever crawled out from under the lowest rock in the lowest, foulest crevice on the planet. I had to get house plants. I went to the one on the east side and the service was so rude. But I needed plants so I ended up going to the one in Beaverton where the service was really passive aggressive. They approach you like they are handling hazardous waste, and then ask a thousand questions when you know specifically what you want. After purchasing houseplants from this place, I ended up with fruit flies. read more

I had been meaning to check this place out, but the location is little out of my usual route. I had bought a deal online recently, so I finally went today. I don't have green thumbs; rather, I'm an eternally hopeful, optimistic, yet seemingly perma-black thumbs with knowledge (or lack thereof) to match. Anyway. So I was looking for some ground-cover for my front yard. I found the staff VERY helpful, friendly and available (not in an intrusive or pushy kind of way at all). They had lots of selections on every type of plants. I thought their prices were decent. I enjoyed my first ever visit to Dennis' 7 Dees, so I was going to give 4-stars as I was waiting to check out, but then I decided to add another star just because of the cashier lady who was the nicest which is, sadly, not too common when you use ANY "deal", but she treated me like I just spent hundreds of dollars. read more

Not only is everything overpriced and poor quality, but the staff at this nursery is incompetent. I have been overcharged, hung up on, given false information, and the last time I was in, a woman was leaf blowing for the entire 1/2 hour I tried to shop. The covered areas were filled with gas fumes and dust and debris, and it was impossible to escape. We had to leave without buying anything. read more

I have purchased trees at this garden center. I bought 4 trees from them 10 years ago and had excellent service, tree options and pricing. My trees are still growing and looking great in my yard. I went here a few more times over the years to look at plants and don't care for their selection or pricing overall for plants. They have a good rose selection, but I have all the roses I want at this time. They have the basic ornamentals, but do not offer many native plants or good looking vegetable starts. Their staff are helpful, but did not have answers to my specific plant questions. So far I found if you can get the attention of the actual gardeners working there and not the "sales" staff walking around you can get some very good information on the plants. I just bought a persimmon tree last month and took advantage of their 1/2 off sale. Getting a tree for $25 is great! While I pulled out three trees and debated which one I wanted a lovely garden worker woman came by to tag my tree. She was very informed about persimmons and their tree growth/stature. After I picked a tree with her help she bagged up the base of the tree extremely well and helped load it into my car. I will come back for trees or roses, but won't bother looking at their ornamentals that I don't need in my native landscaped yard. read more

For the second time this year my husband and I hauled our patio pots down to Seven Dees and to be planted for us. We gave very little guidance but mostly asked to be surprised, kinda like when you ask the chef to order for you. Today we picked up the pots that Joe artistically put together for us and let me say: They are beautiful! Beyond what I hoped for, these gorgeous fall/winter pots will dress up our patio over the next few months in a stunning way. It's obvious that Joe put his heart and creativity into them, they are lovely and will surely bring compliments. Thank you Joe and Seven Dees! See you again in the spring! read more

Michael Curtin is an extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly plant expert. I went in to get some advice on my first "balcony garden." He took the time to determine what my needs and priorities were, and walked me through several options to approach the project as well as advised me on suitable shrub and flower species for my needs, aesthetic preferences and budget. The plants are lovely, the ambience very personable (see Smokey the mascot cat asleep near the register when you walk in). My 9 year old son was with me and Michael engaged him as well. My realtor recommended I go and I'm glad I did. I appreciated everything about the experience and will definitely be going back as my garden expands. Also, if you like to grow orchids, Michael has a special interest in those as well! read more

I have found staff at Dennis' Seven Dees to to consistently friendly and helpful. Their planscaper program is the deal of the century!!!!! Stacie Palmer has given me the ideas I lacked and helped me save a fortune . Her plans for half of my front yard and then problem areas in the back are fantastic. I have learned so much and enjoy my time in the yard more than ever. Every store I have visited (three so far) has it's own flavor and has been interesting. The city has required I plant trees in the parking strip. Based on all information I have received, tree planting season is from November through April. I went to 7 Dees as their website states they have a program where they will deliver and plant the trees. Unfortunately, they were zero help when I went in to purchase. They indicated they would have to plant in September and I would need to select from what they or other locations had in stock--not a huge selection and one type from the list the city provided me, which I must follow. They could not order. A little strange that they would recommend planting in September, which is not the best time. read more

I am in the Cedar Hills Seven Dee's store at least once a week. It is a great local place for advice, plants, gifts and things for the garden...read that as...bags of compost. I have taken classes there, where experts from local plant associations offer valuable help with both specific plant problems but also general garden knowledge that would benefit anyone and everyone. The store has knowledgeable staff willing to help with anything you need, a variety of plants that most "big box stores" do not carry and small stores cannot obtain and special ordering of plants isn't "special" at all, it is a standard way they do business. It is located right in the local neighborhood of Cedar Hills and is a local gem many of us are glad is close and easily available. read more

Great Place with knowledgeable help and attention to detail. Plants and trees seem healthy and happy. I scheduled a delivery and they arrived on time and were polite and professional. I think his name was Matt. They planted my three arborvitae and gave me guidance on the best placement. Matt also gave me advice on some of the plants I already had and how to keep them healthy and maintained. Great Job. So glad I payed a little extra to get the job done right. read more

My husband and I are frequent customers of this store. Mike and his staff are excellent, knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. We have never experienced or observed behaviors that other reviewers have described with the staff or other customers. We drive 20 miles one way to shop here because we can find the plants we are looking for, they are healthy, and thrive when we get them home. We had a small irrigation system that needed repair. Dennis' 7 Dees came on a recommendation from a neighbor. They came out and looked at the job and said - though it would be time and materials - they could not see it exceeding $500 - even with a new controller (which I found on Amazon for under $160 and even less on eBay). They also promised to contact us should that $500 limit be exceeded before further work as we were not home during the time they were there. One week after completion I called to get the final bill and was again assured that it would come in right around $500. One more week passed and I got a call that the bill would be $800 - a 60% increase!!! They had not called ahead of job completion to let us know!! Before you use this company I would definitely get a FIRM quote but all that being said - they are not trustworthy enough to ever get my business again. I will surely not recommend them to anyone else!! read more
