Overall, very affordable and a lot of food for the price. The burger itself was pretty mediocre--tasted like a frozen Costco patty. The brisket melt was okay, but the seasoning was whatever and the bagel bun was tough since it wasn't toasted. Still better than the burger, but nothing special. Now the appetizers... those carried the whole meal. The chicken bites had too much breading, so I probably wouldn't get those again. But the mozzarella sticks were honestly some of the best I've had. And the fried mac n cheese bites were a risky pick, but they paid off--they had Kraft-style noodles with perfect breading. If you like Kraft mac n cheese (which I do), they were amazing. Unfortunately, there are some prescriptions that can only be picked up at this location. There are employees on the floor, but they are usually restocking shelves, so the self-checkout is their preferred method. Ultimately, I've noticed something will not work or go wrong with some people, so an employee ends up having to help out in the end. This store doesn't carry any prestige brands, as it is a smaller location.

I stopped here this morning on a whim, a stroll down memory lane. The place is hard to get into - there is not much in the way of parking, and the pull off on the opposite side of Gum Spring Road - which is where folks used to park - was badly eroded by that last massive rain event we had - to the point that the side of the road is now a gully! Good enough for me to stop by here (a bit out of the way) three times in the last month. I've had the beef birria tacos, chicken curry tacos, carne asada, choriza, jerk chicken, and al pastor tacos, as well as the pupusas (pork and cheese, bean and cheese, and loroco and cheese). All were great! (Well, except the carne asada - this came out a bit dry and under-seasoned). Next time I go, I'll probably get the beef birria tacos again. The dipping broth is great. The third time I went, they were out of the al pastor pork. This is my one complaint: while they have a decent variety of proteins, they do not have either barbacoa or carnitas. The beef in the birria tacos is probably the match here for barbacoa, but I'd like that option without the broth and at the regular price. The two fellows that work the counter are very nice and helpful with the menu. I overheard one of them talking to another customer and he mentioned his father bought the place a few years ago. The customer said this lot used to be an old gas station in the 1980s and that there used to be a post office here, too. The parking might be tough during rush hour -- there's a handicapped spot right out front, and about 5 diagonal spots on the old auto garage side (these would be a pain to back out of if all filled). Otherwise, you're parking in the grass across the street, or in the lot on the other side of the intersection. I say the parking hazards are well worth the food, though!

The Liberty Station in Lenah, VA is where I was - and the Lenah Auto Service - which is associated with the Liberty Station was closed - but the pumps are open 24 hours for those using plastic. I was pretty damn pleased! No rolling the dice this evening! I began fueling up and cleaned out the car, depositing my trash in the provided waste receptacles. It is interesting to note that as you drive through this section of U.S. 50 - there is a sign indicating you are in: "Lenah, VA." However, for whatever reason, the physical address is: "Aldie, VA."
