As I was driving home this evening, suddenly I noticed that the light on the gas gauge was illuminated, depicting that I was very low on gas. I quickly evaluated my options - I could probably make it to Haymarket to the Sheetz, but I was not sure. This car (a Dodge Magnum) does not get great gas mileage - so I might be rolling the dice. And I was pretty sure that the one other gas station coming up was closed. Well, as I came up on the fuel station, it looked like another car was fueling, so I pulled in. The Liberty Station in Lenah, VA is where I was - and the Lenah Auto Service - which is associated with the Liberty Station was closed - but the pumps are open 24 hours for those using plastic. I was pretty damn pleased! No rolling the dice this evening! I began fueling up and cleaned out the car, depositing my trash in the provided waste receptacles. It is interesting to note that as you drive through this section of U.S. 50 - there is a sign indicating you are in: "Lenah, VA." However, for whatever reason, the physical address is: "Aldie, VA." read more

Jeff Evans, the owner of Lenah Auto , and his crew, were very talented and honest. Jeff had your back! You never left his shop without having no "stone unturned" for your safety, you vehicle repair made sound and trusted. Jeff was shot and killed by one of his former mechanics (Dale Lee Wright: an evil cur) on March 17th, 2019 in Clark County, Virginia. That evil cur was just sentenced to: "West Virginia man gets 22 years in murder of Bluemont resident". I have been taking my vehicles to Jeff for Va. State Safety Inspection for over 5 years now. Before that I would go to where ever was open, with a short line. Being a mechanic myself, I've always known exactly what to expect from any inspection. The last place I took my car before arriving at Liberty Gas station was in Chantilly. This "shop" shall remain nameless, but suffice to say I was less than happy when the rip off artists there waltzed out to explain to me how my car had failed, and that for only six hundred and some odd dollars worth of work I KNEW I didn't need, they could have my car "safe for the road." I kindly paid the fee, and left with my fresh new rejection sticker. Long story longer, I found Jeff's station and had him inspect my vehicle after telling him my story. He checked everything, including the "issues" the previous shop had said were the cause of my car failing their bs inspection. He came to same conclusion regarding them, and declared he knew about them, and that I wasn't the only person that had come to him after dealing with their dishonest shop. My car passed his inspection (as it should have initially), and I paid for my new state sticker and went on my way. I was really happy to have found Liberty Gas station, and an honest inspector that wasn't out to rip people off, for repairs that weren't needed. I KNEW my car didn't need those repairs, but I can't help but think about all the poor folks that other shop was taking advantage of. And before leaving my review, I read the other reviews left by people here. And most concur with my own opinion. I did notice one 2 star review was left by a young lady who stated she felt "uncomfortable", while she was there. All I can say about that is this shop is by no means "state of the art." It is an old gas station. No "customer waiting area" to speak of (unless you count the wooden park style bench right out front). And I personally think everyone there is nice, but of course my opinion is subjective. All I can say to that young lady is "would you rather be lied to, and ripped off by smiling, super friendly people in a comfortable waiting room with free coffee and tv, or given an honest diagnosis on your vehicle, with a fair repair price by a good mechanic? Even if they don't go overboard trying to make you feel "all warm, fuzzy, and comfortable." I feel good every time I go there, and I like Jeff. They are all busy there, and for good reason. Their integrity is what matters, and Jeff has it all day long. And that's what makes ME "very comfortable", every time I need to go there. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!! Check the dates on the good reviews. They are all BEFORE Jeff Evans was tragically murdered. The current team does not have the skills, customer focus or business experience that Jeff Evans had. The new owner does not stand behind the work performed by the staff, even when they admit to not following industry proven procedures for something as simple as an oil change. Mistakes made by the staff can end up costing you thousands of dollars to repair. read more

I have been using this service station for a few years now, the service I receive is exceptional, I have always been treated with the up most respect, even when they are busy they always find the time to help me.. I always leave there feeling that I have been given good advice and the service to my car has been exceptional. I always feel like I haven't been robed, prices have been fair, and the work has always been professional... Jeff (the owner and his staff ) are honest and good mechanics. I have been going to Jeff for several years now (despite having to travel quite far - I live in Ashburn). When I take my car(s) in for servicing (or brake work, for example ) or an oil change, I am always surprised at how little he charges. No haggling neccessary. Just peace of mind. If anything you might feel you want to haggle him up a bit. No BS from Jeff. Also, he is very well organized. He has so many loyal customers and I know why. Had an oil change this morning and although the service was quick, that's about the only positive thing that happened while I was there. When I entered the shop I wasn't acknowledged by the three men who were there and wasn't helped until the secretary noticed me and hung up from her phone call, which was personal. She was very sweet and talked to me the entire time I waited-unfortunately she had to because there was no waiting area and I had to awkwardly stand by her counter for the entire 30 minutes i was there..standing. Every minute or so an employee had to get by me or came into the building and I had to move out of their way-not one time did they excuse themselves or acknowledge me, including the owner. It was a very uncomfortable vibe there and I did not feel welcome. Very disappointing experience. I just moved here and was hoping that I would receive better business from a smaller shop, but I didn't. The secretary went out of her way to tell me how they rely on word of mouth for business, which I think she did because she could see that I was uncomfortable. I'm not saying that I should have received superior customer service because I am a young female, but I at least expected to be important enough as a customer to be acknowledged and made comfortable. read more

Just had my radiator replaced here today. The prices beat everywhere else by hundreds of dollars. Honest people who aren't looking to gouge people. The woman who worked at the desk was incredibly friendly and had a nice conversation with her. Will definitely be using this place from now on for all of my repairs. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! The team at Lenah Auto is beyond incredible! I found them by complete chance about 2 years ago, after my wheel lost a knockout fight with a pothole, leaving me stranded with a dented rim. The team at Lenah Auto sprung into action like the superheros they are, and replaced the rim in lightening speed for a FRACTION of the price I was quoted by my dealership! I've since gone back for oil changes and inspections and always have a great experience. They are honest, upfront, and never prob you for more money with unnecessary services. I recently moved to the area and got a flat on my daily driver, which also carries my kids to school. I needed a quick repair and this shop was very convenient. I was immediately greeted by "Mama" who quickly grabbed a tech to start work on my car. Less than 5 minutes later i was handed a bill for $17!! I've NEVER had such a quick, easy, friendly experience at an auto repair shop. Mama took the time to explain to me that they are in business to help and not to gouge their customers. I have been taking all my cars to Jeff and Trish at Lenah Auto Service for a number of years. Great people and shoot straight always with a fair deal to end the experience. Took my 2000 Hyundai to a chain service center in Ashburn for inspection and I was told the entire steering rack would need to be replaced at great expense, more than the car was worth actually. Took it to Lenah and Jeff called to tell me to come pick it up no charge except the inspection..the lid for the resevoir was loose...as he pointed out. Always honest and personable. Great folks and great place to keep your car running tip top. read more

I really like this place. I take all my cars here and have recommended them to others. Whenever I do venture out and try a new auto repair shop I usually end up calling Liberty to ask for a second opinion aka the correct price that I should be charged. They give me this information with no problem. Trish is a wonderful friendly receptionist. She knows my name even after going there only a few times over the last 8 years. My sister was sick (hospitalized for months) the first time (summer 2014) they met her and she was unable to talk. One year later (winter 2015)she went to get her car repaired Trish came out and hugged her tight as if she was a long lost relative. When my sister went to pick up her car, she found a nice note from the crew that expressed how glad they are that she was doing better. #itsthelittlethings They stand by their work and the prices are reasonable and fair.
