This works for me. The Wawa and Sheetz battle has been fun. Soon Bucees might be joining them in northern Virginia. I like all of this, because competition is healthy for the market. Today I didn't fill up, as their prices seemed higher than other stations. Admittedly this is a popular area and location. I did like relaxing a few, after visiting the Udvar Hazy Center. As usual plenty of parking. The employees are always friendly. I love how clean the store is. Thank you Wawa for the outdoor tables. Today it wasn't any sandwiches, but a candy bar and soda. They are pleasant and accommodating. I do like the sandwich kiosk where you can customize your sandwich without having to verbally give your order. The garlic aioli is very flavorful. Been coming here for better part of a year. Almost every day for lunch on way to work. Never any issues. Never any problems. Until today. Sitting in marked parking space by air pump and guy comes over in his car telling me to move. To be nice I moved my 20 foot truck out so he could air up his tires. Asked him if he knows the hose extends. He proceeds to try and berate me saying its a fire lane. Wrong answer guy. I was a firefighter for 14 years. I was parked in a marked parking space with no reserved or otherwise markings. Guy keeps flapping his gums about how that spot is only for airing up tires and that it's for paying customers. Guess the 75.00 in gas today and the 14.00 inside were a gratuity for letting me come onto wawa property. The kicker. He works there. I said I would take it up with his manager. Manager didn't seem to care one way or another that his employee is outside causing problems with the same people that pay for their products. Never have I seen in 30 years of customer service a more poorly trained worker. He actually laughed and said he'd still be there tomorrow. Well WAWA if thats the best you can do ill take my money and business elsewhere. Sad because 90% of the people inside are awesome. Hugest bummer was that I've been to Wawa in Richmond, VA and although it's been ages, I could've sworn they offered more food variety on their touch-screen menu offerings. The sides were only limited to mac and cheese and soups, and entrees were mainly hoagies on the touch-screen. Breakfast wasn't fully offered it seemed, so I suspect since they just opened they have very limited choices (for now?)... Not sure. But I expected other choices like side of fries, burgers, burritos, etc like Sheetz would have. The service was a positive; the staff was all courteous. So I have never been a fan of gas station coffee. No hard feelings, just a fact. That was until I tried the Wawa coffee during the holiday 2017 season! They carried a holiday blend that was simply amazing. I tried it one day, and seriously went back every single day until the holiday flavor was no more. After the holiday flavor was gone, I learned from the staff that they have a featured blend on rotation. This was the best news ever because to my advantage, the featured blend is just as good as the holiday blend. The staff makes every visit worthy of another visit! To date, I have been to several Wawa's in the area, and the staff has never let me down. For the most part, the stores are set up the same. However, in DC, because there is no gas station attached, it has a different layout and a little larger (something larger in DC???). Being tied to my other favorite coffee shops will not change, but having Wawa as an option is a huge win. I should also mention that it also carry your favorite gas station needs (candy, water, soda, chips, etc.). Twice, I have ordered bagels and cream cheese and these were both great too. To add, their wraps are amazing, filling, and priced right!! If you ever need a quick lunch, be sure to try one. To order things like bagels, special lunch items, and special coffee/iced coffee items, there are kiosks available to place your order. After your order is placed, you can either go pay for it (with the receipt that prints from the kiosk), or wait for your order in the middle of the stores, and pay afterwards. Too often, I have arrived on a weekend morning to find their premade Sizzli breakfast sandwich selection wanting, to put it mildly. They cannot be ordered via the touchpad kiosks. If this location were in the Philadelphia area, this would not be a problem; I could drive to another Wawa in minutes. In NoVA, it is disappointing to drive 9 miles and leave emptyhanded. The coffee dispensers, especially specialty offerings are also often empty. And, not their fault, but there is ALWAYS a big, honkin' SUV or truck (never labeled as hybrid or EV) parked in the spaces reserved for low-emission vehicles. read more

This Wawa is the cheapest gas around, often cheaper even than the closest Costco and Sam's Club. Seriously. They have the normal gas station fare - sodas, snacks, tobacco, etc. - but they have a coffee counter that rivals anything you've seen, and has a very respectable hot service food counter, where you can order anything from breakfast sandwiches to chicken tenders to paninis to macaroni and cheese to soup. The food isn't exactly high-end, but better than you'll find in most fast food places. If that doesn't work for you and you need gas, stop here and get food at the Chick-fil-A next door. Sully Historic Site is a lovely park in back where you can bring your food for a picnic, if you like, and there are a few tables in front of Wawa if you want to relax and take a break from driving without much hassle. This is the closest Wawa in the area if you live in Centreville/Fairfax/Falls Church/Arlington/etc. unless you want to fight 95 traffic down to Springfield. For this reason, I frequent the Wawa in Chantilly and have grown to develop a deep and beautiful relationship with the establishment. Slightly off the beaten path, crowds are minimal in my experience. I rarely have to wait more than 5 minutes for an item to be prepared. They are very quick! Sandwiches and drinks are always on point. Personally, I highly recommend the egg salad - it might sound sketchy to order egg salad from a gas station but DANG IT, it is good. The store is also incredibly clean. You could probably lick the counters and be okay. Maybe don't, but you could. There are generally no weird smells, spills, stains, or anything of the like. The customer service is also solid. I tend to visit this Wawa late in the night, and the employees are always friendly and welcoming despite the horrors of the night shift (we all know how scary it is to take the trash out at night). The customer base here also seems quiet and relaxed, which saves you the stress of anticipating a drunken gas station fight. Honestly why wouldn't you come here? Love love!! First one in the fairfax county area! The sandwiches are amazing. Came during a Thursday around 1. They also accept online ordering. But it's very nice to be able to look at your selection by using the touch screen monitor. They don't have everything you see online, I believe slowly they are bringing new items in. Gas station: price is not so cheap but they have the window washer with fluid. Convenient store: clean and organized. The employees were friendly. I love their hand spun cookies and cream milkshakes. I love Wawa, and this is the closest so of course I love it! They make the food so quickly and yummy, which is amazing considering how many orders they have coming in usually right after one another. The food workers are amazing! The checkout staff needs some customer service training that's for sure. I have encountered a few and they all seem pretty unhappy about what they do, and they really shouldn't be considering how young they are and how well I know Wawa pays them. Gas prices are cheaper at Wawa and their store and pumps are very clean. There aren't a lot of Wawa's around here so when I had a chance to stop for gas and some food I relished the opportunity. This was my first time ordering a sandwich at Wawa. I hard heard that their sandwiches are epic. I was not disappointed. The bread tasted so fresh and was toast just perfectly. It was really easy to order from the screen. Their system is well organized and the options are plentiful but not overwhelming. Their coffee is very good too! Wawa is probably my favorite thing about the northeast- mid Atlantic area. While we usually go to the one in Frederick, whenever my boyfriend has to go to Virginia for work and I'm tagging along, we go here. Last night/ this morning we stopped in between one and two am and we received exceptional service. He ordered a hoagie and I ordered a quesadilla and a shorti. They did not have any of their hot food like cheese pretzel or bagel melts out but were more than willing to make some when my boyfriend had asked. This is a busy location during the day. It is next to a CIA complex called Dulles Discovery that is still being built out. According to the builder, it will eventually have 8,000 employees and who knows how many contractors. So there are a lot of CIA employees and hard hats during the day getting food and gas at Wawa. The test of any fast food lunch place is their steak and cheese. I ordered my first one today and it will be my last. It was absolutely the worst steak and cheese ever. The meat was chewy and flavorless, and room temperature. The employees work fast, I wouldn't call them friendly. They have the robotic rehearsed lines that all big chain employees give you. Good for road snacks, but whatever you do, avoid ordering a smoothie or any drink that requires a human to make that drink. They will always take 15 minutes or more due to some severe disconnect between the ordering process and their ability to see that order. So far, my order has gotten lost 3/3 times, resulting in me standing there for a long time only to find out that they thought I left the store, already... Despite the fact that I was standing there waiting all that time. Late night, bored and need to refill our fridge with milk. That's what made us venture to wawa. The place is super clean and bright. Not a lick of dirtiness what so ever! The coolest thing is the food ordering touch screen panel. What ever you call it. And the next coolest thing is their walk in cooler full of beer. This Wawa opened recently so my expectation were high. I typically only get my gas at Costco - but with the blizzard coming, those lines were ridiculous. I headed over to Wawa and realized I've been spoiled by Costco. I love how at Costco all of the traffic to the pumps goes in one direction. At Wawa you can pull in any which way - like any other gas station. I've decided I don't like that. It's pretty chaotic. We did get in without much fuss though. After filling up I took my son in for a treat. The facility was clean, well-staffed, and well-stocked - considered all of the grocery stores are out of bread/milk/TP. Food was great, as always. However, i ordered bacon on my hoagie which i paid extra for and after driving 20 minutes home i discovered there wasn't any bacon on my sandwich. Not the end of the world, but i was charged for bacon. The girl making sandwiches was too preoccupied with texting on her phone which was quite annoying. I have been a customer of WAWA for over 30 years since the original location was opened on mcdade blvd in Springfield PA. I really like the WaWa itself and it is a great location as far as getting gas/coffee on my way into or from work. What I CANNOT stand are the inconsiderate people who leave their car in the gas station bay to go inside to purchase items hence the reason for the 2 stars! It is rude and since there is only one pump on either side, you have to wait until they come back to their car. There are plenty of spaces to park your car, so PLEASE do that! read more
