Tik Tok made me do it and I'm glad I did it!…read more My co-worker recently had been seeing some videos about the food at Newberry Cafe so of course we had to make a lunch time stop to see what everyone was talking about. Newberry reminds me of your hometown bakery where everyone gathers in the morning for their donuts and coffee before heading off to work. Very much like many of the shops in the Bel Air area. The employees are super nice at Newberry. Really taking their time to provide great customer service to each patron that strolls through the doors. Although it was lunch time we settled on breakfast sandwiches with homefries. And I of course had to grab a donut because it's a must, and a latte. The breakfast sandwich was just what you would want to start your day, a savory piece of meat and cheese on a soft bagel. But the star of the show was the homefries. Cooked and seasoned perfectly, crispy on the outside and a soft texture on the inside. We both loved the potatoes. My glazed donut was divine, pillowy with just the right amount of glaze to not make the donut too sweet. The latte was a little to sweet for me, but I'm a little finicky with the sugar level in many caffeinated drinks. All the times I've ventured into Bel Air I never thought to stop at Newberry and I'm glad I finally did. I'll definitely be back to try more of their yummy donuts and breakfast sandwiches in the future.

We also purchased cupcakes that were good as well. There was a variety of coffee drinks to choose from (although we didn't get any), the selection was more than enough to choose from. There is street parking along with a few tables and chairs to sit down at if one chooses to. Service was good and the bakery was organized and well kept.

The cafe has many events going on, some free, some that cost for the bigger ones. They partner with community organizations for many of the events, which is nice. The ambiance is exactly what you want in a cafe. Now on to the service: the barista helped me and my mother pick out delicious drinks based on our interests and she picked great ones for us! We loved them!! The coffee is not bitter, the lattes are not too milky or too sweet; it was just a perfect balance between flavor and coffee-taste. I highly recommend this spot and wished I was a local, just to go here more often! They have a mini trinket exchange, books to read, and a cute wall to hang up self portraits that guests can draw on sticky notes. I give this a solid 5/5 --literally no complaints at all.

Serving Ceremony Coffee attracted me to this coffee shop. I ordered a drip brew and cortado. The milk in the cortado was velvety and smooth and well balanced with the floral flavor in espresso. The light roast drip brew also had a delicate floral flavor. The atmosphere at 7AM -8Aam was good for conversation for my party of two. They have two person tables and a larger picnic table that seats four. The sell a few bags from Ceremony Coffee and another local roaster. See pictures for menus

I could smell the pastries! I loved how you could buy some of their cute trinkets or even coffee beans. Other reviews said the matcha was weak. I'm personally not a matcha fan but I was craving because they had a strawberry marshmallow matcha latte on their Feb drink menu! Matcha was not grainy. It wasn't too earthy. I think it was a perfect blend with just a hint of sweetness. I love how they added a cube of marshmallow too! It was a delicious treat after I finished the drink. Now onto the California toast. Could I have made this at home? Yes. Was the food 100% hitting the spot. Also yes! The bread was toasted to perfection. I loved the thick slices of avocado paired with the sriracha. 10/10 would recommend to a friend. Nice place for a cute coffee date!

My coffee was a little bitter, but some people like it that way. It wasn't to my taste but still a quality latte. My husband liked his iced coffee. We ordered a ton of food between just wanting to try things and a family of 4 each choosing an item or 2 to try. Some of the highlights were my frittata sandwich. It's really elevated with the siracha honey and goat cheese spread. The croissants were enormous! If you like really big croissants, this is definitely the place. Lastly, the biscuit was homemade and packed with flavor. If they heated it up, that really would have taken it over the edge of greatness. If I lived more locally to this shop, I would stop in here all the time.

The table had delicious bowls of Maryland crab soup, the service had been unpretentious and friendly, and the overall vibe was refreshingly relaxed. It was very busy lunch hour and not a single person complained about the line. They all knew warm, ample food portions were coming and they would be followed by a lovely cup of ice cream. The inside was adorable, highly welcoming to all, and delightfully kitschy. The entire place is situated on a large farm--you are literally steps away from the crops that made their way to your table. We opted for the regular-sized portions which were very generous, butter pecan for her and cashew caramel for me. The respective nuts had the perfect texture within the ice cream, soft but with a little crunch. There was plenty of seating throughout the store and right outside the doors. Many farm-themed tchotchkes were all over the space, too, which were all lovely. Staff was friendly and making sure the space looked its best. Bought milk from their cooler and a half-pound of their Aunt Josie's butter as we left (they brought the butter out from the back) and can't wait to try it! If it's half as good as that ice cream, we'll be more than satisfied. Looking forward to a return visit to sample some of their hot foods, too!
