The food here is what is expected for Friendly's but the place is filthy! The removable white partitions between tables are grimy and the light fixtures are covered in dust and bugs. Makes me pretty sure the kitchen is unclean if public facing areas are this dirty. read more

We are in town for my 50th high school reunion and were delighted to see this old favorite still operating. It was like stepping back in time. Our waitress was so fun and engaging, bathrooms were clean which is always a plus. Friendly's has always been known for slow service and good ice cream. Frankly, if it weren't for the ice cream they would be out of business. I took my granddaughters there for lunch today. Their food was absolutely horrible. My one granddaughter ordered the kids cheeseburger sliders. She got two ovals hockey pucks with a quarter slice of cheese on each one. I ordered the Philly cheese melt. There was barely any meat or cheese on it and what was on it was burnt. Abysmal! My other granddaughter ordered Mac and cheese. Hard to mess up boxed Mac and cheese except it was just Luke warm. The fries were good, so there's that. Basically, we had ice cream for lunch since everything else was inedible. I told them not to ask to go there again unless it was just for ice cream. There is no excuse for serving food that bad. read more

Friendly's ice cream always hits !!! Whether it is dining in or carry out, the ice cream is delicious. Now the presentation of the ice cream when carrying out is usually underwhelming but that's not a problem for me. I'd say it's definitely worth it to get a sundae from here than to go to your local Weis for a tub of ice cream. read more

We were very disappointed to go in for ice cream treats this afternoon and have two of the three sundaes be delivered to the table wrong. Then we never saw our server again until MUCH later so could only let him know there had been two mistakes...which he blamed on us. Since we were finished eating, his only idea/response after saying it was our fault was that he could make us another one or send it with us to go (in 100+ degree heat). I know we ordered Reese's Pieces Sundaes...he delivered Peanut Butter Cup Sundaes which are VERY different from the RP sundaes. It's no wonder you can't find a Friendly's any more. My party of 5 stopped in around 9:15 on a Saturday night and there was plenty of seating available. Most of the patrons we're eating meals, but our group was ready for ice cream. Many of us ordered sundaes, and one ordered a smaller Friend-z® dish. Lots of smiles around the table when our order arrived. I ordered the medium Mint Cookie Crunch sundae and I found the two scoops of ice cream to be sufficient to keep me satisfied. Scoops - small=1, medium=2, large=3. I sure was tempted to order a traditional 3 scoop banana split, but I was headed to bed shortly, so I got a sundae instead. It is always a pleasure to visit one of their locations whenever I see their iconic signs along my travels. A detractor was trying to look out the windows near where I was seated. Great for dine-in but don't dare order delivery thru the apps. Each time I have it's been messed up. Last night was the final straw for me. I ordered a simple Chicken Quesadillas and Country Chicken Tenders with fries and cole slaw. I asked for EXTRA honey mustard, salsa AND sour cream in addition to the ones it already came with. When I got it...there was no Honey mustard, no Salsa, no Sour Cream. Like, at all. So I couldn't eat my Quesadillas. Then my chicken tenders were cooked too long and were just really dry and crunchy, my fries were also cooked too long as they were dark brown and limp. Considering its a fast dine family style.... 4.0 Not a fan... but so far so good! Been there twice, first time I was on a rush and had a 10 minute break, so I ordered from their 5.99 menu. I got a turkey sandwich with fries. Very yummy. It got ready super fast. Enough for me to go back to class on time. So, basically it took about 6 minutes to be ready and backed to go. They were friendly and the food was good and great quantity over price. Second time, the experience was a bit less great. I was a bit disappointed with the service. Felt rushed throughout my whole stay. Pressured to ordered on my waitress timing although after I did order the food took too long for what it was. Than again to order dessert, I was rushed. Than again for the check. I wouldn't mind as much if the place was packed or with a line or simply full, but it was the opposite. Their price was still good although the quantity wasn't as expected but that is okay. The turkey burger was very good tho. read more

I love coming here all the time, as much as i could during summer and when I'm off. I've been coming here since i was little and it had always been my favorite place to go. Even for the simplest of things like chicken noodle soup, motz sticks, chicken tenders, big meals like the turkey or etc., or even the famous Ice cream that always brought the place to life. Its always a wonderful experience from service to the warm and comfortable atmosphere. Though there has been a few major changes. Such as the mini motz sticks :( which was really disappointing. The soup has been more celery based which i feel has put the soup down, but other then that, the food is absolutely amazing. so much love has been put into this place and it's created so many good memories in my lifetime. read more

My party of 3 was promptly seated... right next to the hostess podium, where the hostess stared at us and tried to talk to us about the weather. So that was a bit awkward. But the server was super friendly and polite. She was also very attentive and efficient. We started out with the Munchie Mania. We chose sliders (the 13 year old's meal) quesadillas and onion rings. Between the three of us we finished it all. My only complaint is that I had more food coming. So I didn't eat too much of it. For meals my husband ordered the Triple Decker Bacon Cheese Burger with fries and I ordered the Turkey Dinner. The burger was pretty hefty. He really enjoyed the crisp bacon. Personally, I was not impressed with my meal. The corn was so dried out that it was shriveled and chewy. The turkey was a thick slab, also pretty dry, and very salty. I don't really like stuffing but it looked dry as well. The best part of my meal was the fake potatoes and gravy. But even that was so salty I could only eat half. So if you love salt, this is great for you. The real reason we went there though was for the ice cream. My son and I both sampled the Hunka Chunka PB Fudge ice cream and ended up getting different variations of it. He got a milkshake and I got a small sundae. Let me tell you, it was worth it! My small wasn't small at all. But still wasn't too much for me to handle. His milkshake was in a tall glass. I didn't pay attention to what size it was when he ordered. But there was enough that he took some of it to go and sipped on it as we walked the nice quiet mall. So in review, if you're looking for an amazing meal, I don't think this is the place. But if you just want appetizers and desserts head on over. You won't be disappointed. But maybe ask to be seated further back than the first table. ;) read more

We ate there 7/23/2023. The food was good as usual. The service seemed to be good. We ( my girlfriend and I) have been in a habit of not keeping our copies of receipts this will change now. She paid the bill and left her copy of the receipt. The bill came to approximately $34. My girlfriend added a $9 tip. While checking her bank account this morning (7/24/2024) she discovered the waitress doubled the tip! We won't be returning to this establishment. I've been a regular at this location for many many years tracing all the way back to the '80s when I was still a kid. More recently I've had a waitress by the name of Lori who has been very rude to me on a number of occasions. I reported her to corporate. Apparently since she's had several compliments from other people, my complaint was not taken with any validity. I've been nothing but polite and respectful to her every time that I've ever had her as a waitress and also every time that I've ever been there. But the fact that an employee is defended over a regular customer he's been going there long before she ever even worked there is really scary. It's sad that friendlies does not have a friendly customer service. At least not at this location. read more

So, my gf and I went to Friendly's because she wanted a Friend-Zee. We go to the pick up window and she orders 2 Friend-Zees after seeing the size of the cup they come in. I ordered the 5-scoop Reese's Pieces Sundae, like I have for over 30 years. The teenager manning the pick up window, took my order, and payment, and then handed me the receipt. I didn't even pay attention when he told me the total, so that's my fault, and it WON'T happen again... because when I looked at the receipt, I was shocked. It was just over $30 for a sundae and 2 Friend-Zees. The Friend-Zees are $6.49 each, which is $13, meaning my Reese's Pieces Sundae was $17. So I asked to speak with the manager. The cashier went back and told her this twice, but she didn't have time to meet with a customer. One of the other teenagers told me that they no longer sell the Reese's Pieces Sundae with 5 scoops, so they charged me $3.75 per scoop for the additional 2 scoops. So, I essentially paid for 2 sundaes, but only got 1.66 sundaes, not to mention that there were only 5 Reese's Pieces in the sundae, and zero peanut butter sauce. Went in and were promptly greeted with the smiling face of a host. Was promptly seated and greeted by our waitress. Shortly after was given our drinks and asked a few menu questions. Waitress was very familiar with items and helpful. About 6 other tables in restaurant, but food took 30 minutes. However, when it did arrive it was very tasty and hot. Kids enjoyed their meals along with the wife and I. Lots of value for the price of the meals. Ice cream was very delicious and their were many options for every taste bud. Location has lots of events geared towards kids so we are looking forward to coming back again during the week for one of those events. We may have found our new favorite diner style restaurant to frequent. A+++ just would like to see those ticket times get quicker. read more

So we came here one afternoon after having lunch out , we were really looking forward to taking our daughter to Friendly's for the first time and getting her the clown cone ( almost like a right of passage lol ) . So we went in were sat down fairly quick and there were a few other families and children there as well so it was nice . We were looking at the menus ( so sticky and gross... ) and she ordered the clown cone thing and my husband and I split a peanut butter cup sundae. We were waiting a bit and all the while we're waiting the staff were having loud conversations and one guy in particular was insanely loud and talking about how Prince had overdosed etc etc ... like it just went on and on then he and his other Co workers were playing around and they had hidden his phone from him so they had him running to his car etc ... not cool as we were now waiting for the check ... and waiting I think there is a time and place for these kind of discussions and antics and while you're working in a family oriented establishment it isn't the time . The oddest part is I noticed two people that looked to be like management or upper staff and they said nothing to the others about the horsing around or the topics of discussion that could clearly be heard by the guests . Having to explain to my 4 year old what an overdose is and why someone died was not on my agenda for the day . This unfortunately will be a first and last for us at Friendly's. The only reason for 3 stars is because the ice cream was decent . Although they stuck a questionable looking candy onto my daughter's ice cream ... rather careless, it looked like it had been wet and stuck to other ones for goodness knows how long . read more
