Also the names of the coffee. They sell a large variety of their own coffee in bags. They also sell merchandise. The roasting operation is open for the public to see. I decided on a cup of medium roasted blend. Staff was great and also useful assisting with my choice. They provide samples. They have space to enjoy your cup too. But I got mine to go. I was very happy with the taste and a good price point too. This was not my first time trying them as they offered at some area restaurants like American Brew in VB. I would love to return

My husband and I are regulars at Big Ugly but I've never taken the opportunity to try Taxus Street until this week. I tried to come on Monday and quickly learned they were closed, so returned the following day. They operate inside the brewery and have a nice setup in the corner. There is lots of seating - bars and high tops - and it's a great spot for a morning gathering. There was a meeting in the upstairs loft happening during my visit. The barista who assisted me was working solo. She was super friendly and happy to answer my questions. I was glad to hear they offer decaf espresso. I opted to try one of their seasonal lattes - the Mounds Bar latte with almond milk, mocha and coconut cold foam. It took only a few minutes for my order to be prepared. I did find the drink to be slightly sweet for my taste and would ask for half sweet on my next visit. For the lactose intolerant, they have almond and oat milk options. They also have several pastries and some hot food options to choose from like overnight oats and breakfast burritos from Burrito Perdido. They have a selection of coffee options and 15-20 breakfast/brunch options to choose from on their menu. You order at the counter and they bring your items to your table. (And I'm picky about carrot cake.) I saw they also have another display case for empanadas but they didn't have any in there on our visit. I don't know how others can do it but the smell is just too strong to even consider anything from the cafe. Now, there are two rooms. A Kittens room and adult cat room. Usually the kittens room is the most crowded, but sometimes it can be the opposite depending on the day I feel like. When the rooms are too full it does take the fun out of the visit since you are less likely to be able to play with the cat you like. A true negative which isn't due to the facility itself but maybe lack of attention from the employees is sometimes there are parents who allow their kids to run wild and do as they please with the animals. The cats are adorable and up for adoption, great concept to make money while helping out the animals at the same time. Overall I believe the Kitty Kingdom Cafe is a cute spot to go hang out, especially on a rainy day but not somewhere I'd go on a regular basis.
