Very good experience at this 7/11. Went in for Greenday's punk bunny coffee as I was driving past the city. This is the 7/11 that Greenday visited during lunch break when at Highschool nearby. They recently visited and 'signed' the building up front - they are touring 7/11 and on QVC these days. The lightest roast wasn't available but I got some of the darker roast. It used to have a different name - something like Oakland coffee company. People inside were very friendly and helpful. A must for any Greenday fans. read more

I went into this location to purchase a money order or cashiers check and the guy told me that his machine was broken and not working even though my husband had just been in the same location five hours prior and purchased one so the fact OK to pick and choose who and what services they're sell to somebody is Third World country not acceptable so I wouldn't waste your time going to the store for anything other than maybe a bottle of water not to the guy was rude and gave half stepped horrible service to me like I said save your gas next time you think about 711 and go to the other one that they just built which is an amazing read more

Glared at me when I came in, making me feel very uncomfortable. Tried to charge me $20 for $10 of lottery tickets. My partner has had several interactions over the years where he paid cash for items and they either rounded down the change, gave him the wrong change, or didn't want to give him change at all. I defy you to go to this 7-11 when the people behind the counter are not having loud arguments or on the phone. You walk in, they're screaming at each other (I think in Farsi but I'm not positive). You put your stuff on the counter and they ring you up as slow as they can while they continue their conversation/argument with each other. It's almost unbearable. Why are you yelling? You're literally a foot away from each other. You do understand there are customers right here, right? OR, the guy is texting. He rings you up, never takes his eyes off his phone, I don't know how he does it. If you want to receipt, you'll need to get his attention from whatever it is he's looking at on the phone. One time I stood there because I wasn't sure I was done. The guy never let me know, he was so into the phone. How these idiots keep their jobs is a mystery. This can't be the owner. But upon reading other reviews I see this is common. And clearly the owner doesn't care because the people behind he counter here constantly do this and nothing is done. Absolutely the worst "service" I've seen at a 7-11. At least act like you know you're dealing with customers. You don't have to say hi or be pleasant, just get off the goddmn'd phone while you're ringing someone up or let them know when you're done. Rude employees. They input random prices on the register instead of actually scanning the product (come on, you have a barcode scanner!!). The man running the register scanned an extra product, some bakery item. I said no thank you and that I didn't want it. He continued to ring me up with the extra item included. Only reason they have 1 star is because I had to rate 1-5 it would've been 0 otherwise. Used to be a place I always went to, it was nearby the area I'm always in. They are very disrespectful here to their customers. They will laugh and joke with you then talk about you to the next customer ( they did it with someone before me , acted nice then proceeded to talk bad about them to me once they got their money and they left ). The lady in here is very rude to many people unprovoked, maybe she has a lot of bad days ? They also don't let you put your number in for rewards over half of the time... if I spend enough money in here I should be able to get my rewards. The male in here has never been nice even before she was rude to me. I have never went back since I was treated like a piece of garbage when I'm a PAYING customer. I don't go to this 7-Eleven often, but it's clean. Usually if subbing in the area and it's a hot, hot day (heatwave), I'll come here for a slurpee. And it's good, and it's clean. That's the only reason I go. I don't eat a lot of gas station food and won't. But for a coke or cherry slurpee, they hit the spot each time. And I appreciate that. It's actually as clean as the original in Pleasanton, which was my favorite. read more

The guy at the register is so rude. Doesn't acknowledge you when you walk in the door, is on the phone talking and when you bring your items to the register he doesn't say a word. Doesn't tell you your total just waits for you to pay and walks away from the cash register when the transaction is done. So rude and the store is not well kept. Been coming here for 30+ years . So sad . I will drive to El Cerrito to avoid this place from now on . Came today at 1am and was yelled at to leave the store and to stay outside for 10 minutes from what I could understand. Once I was allowed in the store the clerk was very rude had to wait at the register for him to finish cleaning before he would ring me up . Then he had the nerve to throw my change on the counter . I miss the older man who used to be here . These new people are rude and they would rather clean then help customers. Maybe a cleaning job would be better for them . This review is based on my experiences of coming here at night. I try not to come during the day, especially around 3:00, because the high school is right across the street. It's not that I just don't want to deal with high schoolers inside, but the traffic along Pinole Valley Road can be a headache. So, as for 711 at night, I don't really have any complaints. Night time staff isn't particularly friendly, but I haven't had any problems with them either. However, if you smile and greet them, they'll actually smile back at you. I usually just come here for small snacks and Slurpees. It's not always the cleanest when I come. Some cups will be sticky, extra cup covers will be lying around, etc., but I have seen the workers actually clean. It's just nice to have a place so close by that's open for 24 hours (I stay up really late sometimes). Beggars can't be choosers at 3 AM. read more

Went to store at about 1: 00 am last night. Went to the counter with my purchase, but there was no one there to wait on me. I waited about a minute, then looked down the aisles for an employee. He was kneeling down and was engrossed in a conversation wearing his earpiece. He would not acknowledge me, so I said "excuse me", he tells me to wait a minute. So I go back to register and waited another 2 minutes for him. I was getting so pissed I was going to walk out without paying. He comes up to counter still yapping away in another language on his bluetooth. Before I went in store I had checked in my wallet to see what I had on me. I noted that I had a ten and a twenty bill. So purchase came to 4.26. I gave him the 10, he gave me 75 cents, or so back. I thought to myself, hell no, he's not going to pull some shit on me. I asked him for my 5 dollar change. Sure enough, he tells me that I gave him a 5. I disagreed with him one more time, and gave up. Of course he wasn't going to admit anything. I don't know if the mistake was because he was on the phone, and wasn't paying attention, or it was intentional. I think it was the later. I'm still pissed. read more

The only reason I ever step foot in this store is when I am desperate for eggs or milk and don't feel like going to the local grocery store. The customer service here is terrible. My most recent visit, I purchased a hot cup of coffee. The coffee spilled over a little so I used an extra cup. When I took the coffee to pay, the cashier told me that since I used two cups he's going to have to charge me double for the extra cup because it's not cheap or free. Rude! I gave him the extra cup back, the $2 for the mediocre coffee and let his @$$ keep the 25 cent change. read more

It's close to home but I gotta say I would rather go into Walgreens across the street or the chevron store. The guy that works there in the afternoon shift is so rude. What can you expect from a 7-eleven... Same old same old basics, expensive junk food, slurpies, hot dogs and nachos. Reason for three stars is because I don't feel very welcomed every time I walk in. Maybe this is because the slight language barrier, whatever it is a decent hi would be nice especially if I'm the only one in the store.
