I was at Menchie's in Pinole on a warm weekend. It was around 80*F at 8pm, and the place was crowded. It was kind of funny how nobody was going in Ike's Sandwiches next door. Everyone just wanted something cold from Menchie's. It was great, they had all my favorite flavors! I served myself some Pineapple, Mango, Passion Fruit/ Orange/ Guava, and Choco/Vanilla Twist. I added hot caramel topping. Price per ounce: 80 cents/oz (Sept 2025) Menchie's Frozen Yogurt is a self-serve, pay by weight, fro-yo shop. There's a cashier island and the fro-yo machines run along the back wall. There's a toppings counter that includes: wet, dry, liquid and fresh fruit toppings. I'm guessing there was a 2nd person working, because how could one person run the shop and keep the place so clean and organized. The young lady working the checkout was very polite, and even tried to sign me up for Menchie's Rewards. BTW, the frozen yogurt was very good. I was a bit amazed that it wasn't runny on a such warm day. The fro-yo had a thick and creamy texture. Not icy at all. The fruity flavors was cold and refreshing. The choco/vanilla swirl (twist) was creamy and smooth. It wasn't too sweet. FYI: There's 7 machines, 2 flavors each + the center swirl valve. So there's 21 flavors to choose from. Tables inside, and several tables outside on a small patio. Free parking I would return if I'm in the area again. read more

Went here on a Tuesday with my kiddo bc the website says that Pinole branch has a bogo deal on Tuesdays. The guy working there heard nothing about it. He asked me if I wanted him to call someone to ask... I responded "sure if you can." He wondered if the website I was looking at was maybe another branch but I showed it to him and if specially says Pinole. He never called anyone.. just said "don't worry about it" then when we bought yogurt, still charged us for both cups. After a recent disappointing visit to a nearby froyo place that shall remain nameless, I am SO so glad I got a chance to try Menchie's. The store is very clean and I hugely approve of how some of the toppings are neatly packaged into small disposable plastic cups. I love this new yogurt place. They have a simple selection of yogurts, nothing to complicated, Igor my son Cookies and Cream and Chocolate, of course they have all the toppings and fruit toppings. Got here later in the evening about 20 minutes from closing. Since it was a nice day the fresh fruit was low but luckily they had some fresh strawberries and pineapple. The very nice ladies even said they had some more in the back and they brought out more strawberries. I paired that with some dole whipped to reminisce of Disneyland lol and some mango tart yogurt. I like this place for the most part. Kids love it! It's new and clean. Maybe because it's new it's clean, maybe they just keep it up well. The yogurt and the topping station have been clean, super clean, every time we go. This is the high sign, ahhh I will most likely appreciate and frequent this place for self-serve frozen yogurt, because cleanliness is of the utmost importance for self-serve frozen yogurt. Now, the flavor selection is a solid okay. I'm sure they'll have more during the warmer months. And I LOVE that they have Dole Whip Pineapple! However, I live by original tart. I saw that there was a new frozen yogurt parlor in town, and I wanted to try it out. When I entered the store, the lady that looked to be the manager was very friendly and welcoming. They have tons of flavors and topping. I ended up making a concoction of strawberry and pineapple frozen yogurt with cheesecake bits, shredded coconut, nuts, cookies, and I topped it with cool whip. My brother also made his own concoction of different frozen yogurts and toppings.
