But don't mistake that warmth and friendliness for weakness. Tony will not tolerate rude and obnoxious people and will take care of them quickly and efficiently. I enjoy popping into the store whenever I have a little item I need to pick up and don't want to deal with the big stores. I was shopping at this little store even before Tony took it over. And boy I'm glad he did. I've known Tony for over 25 years now. Our kids even shared a class in high school together. He and his family are wonderful people who are a delight to interact with. I'm going to be leaving the area and I will miss being able to pop in and say hi to my friends. Hoping he has many more prosperous years ahead. However, when I tried to exchange it at the store, the employee behind the counter informed me that he couldn't process the exchange due to surveillance from CCTV and potential repercussions for exchanging a product worth over $5. This situation goes against the exchange and refund policy outlined by both California law and 7-11's policies, which state that returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase and must be in original condition without being washed or worn. My gum pack is brand new and still in its original packaging. I am planning to report this issue to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and the California Department of Consumer Affairs as this treatment is unacceptable.

Costco gas is the way to go for the cheapest gas in the area and decent top tier gas too. Plus you get back 5% rebate if you have the Citi Costco credit card which doubles as you membership card as well. The bad part is all the long lines at every Costco station. The trick is get here early at opening like 6 am! or wait till half hour before closing, cause the station stays open an hour past when the store closes. The lines do move as fast as they can though. It's nice the card tap devices all work super well, not like some of those off brand stations where you have to swipe a bunch of time just to read the card and then you don't know if you got cloned of not. Costco is all safe. I do like the little green and red indicators on the pump island posts tat tell you if a pump is available or not. Plus, if you didn't know, the hoses are long enough to reach either side of the vehicle, so no longer are you restricted to going to the side where your gas filler hole is. I only wish they had stuff to clean your windshield as you fill up, but I guess that might slow the lines down.

Instead of kindly explaining any limit, she rudely told my kids, "No more candy." I've shopped at Costco for years, and when trying samples, the representatives are usually friendly and welcoming. Many have even encouraged us to grab another because they want customers to enjoy the product. This interaction was the complete opposite. I completely understand if there are sample limits, but there's a respectful way to communicate that especially to children. A little kindness goes a long way. Unfortunately, this experience left a negative impression.

I bought the $80 Macy's gift card as a gift for my sister-in-law. When she attempted to use it at a Macy's store, she was informed that the card had already been used--it had been cloned. The PIN number on the card had been carefully scratched, which we now realize was a red flag. Not only was the card unusable, but my sister-in-law was left embarrassed at the store due to this incident. Despite providing this documentation, and repeatedly following up since March, Safeway has yet to resolve this issue. As of today, August 1, 2025, I have not received a refund or replacement, and the matter remains unresolved. This delay is unacceptable. I request an immediate investigation into this issue and a prompt refund or replacement of the $80 gift card.
