I haven't stepped foot in seven/eleven in years but needed a cup of strong coffee. I was headed to Eureka via Redding.....anyway, I pulled up to the store at about 2ish in the morning. This store, on Placer Street, was rather dim so wasn't quite sure it was open except, somehow it seemed welcoming so walked up to the door and peeked inside seeing that the store was open and ready for business as a shorter mature lady welcomed me inside. I explained to her that I just wanted coffee to keep me awake on my journey to the coast. She mentioned that she was from there, knew the road well, and cautioned against traveling the road this late at night if one was not awake, and alert, gave me some tips about the road and, agreed that coffee would be good. I purchased the coffee, and some other items and we had a short conversation and, before leaving gave me further directions to Eureka Way where we continued our journey. She had to have been one of the friendliest clerks in a while and seemed genuinely concerned about me driving on that highway at night. Her name was 'Carla' and she left a positive impression. Was going to make a stop in for the ATM, I parked in an available stall just in front of the store. There was an issue with my parking spot and the delivery truck driver, no spot was marked for him to back up nor was he even backing up in the moment that I pulled in. Matter of fact, his truck was halfway pulled out the driveway, and I was unsure if he was leaving or not. well I run into the ATM conduct my business and when I come out the truck driver was pissed off and decided to say some sarcastic remarks as I was leaving. I suggested to him maybe he should've put some cones out to hold the spot that he was going to back up in. But was kind of shocked that one of them employees came out to talk to the truck driver to say it's not worth it he's probably going home to jack off his boyfriend. I frequently go to the 7/11 at 1860 Eureka Way Redding CA to deposit cash into my CashApp account, and today a 7/11 employee attempted to scam me for $5.99. For almost 6 months and even twice earlier that same day, the fee has been $1 for me. today when I sent my boyfriend in to deposit $31 the cashier told him there was a $5.99 fee to deposit the money. he refused to pay the fee and came outside to tell me. i went back in and asked to make a deposit to which he agreed and never mentioned a 5.99 fee. I was confused so I asked why the fee has changed, for me. he nervously told me that they do not have control over the fees and that they can be anywhere between $0.50-6.00. I knew this was completely untrue, ive been coming here for months and i continued to ask for clarification. He then showed me the old receipt from when my boyfriend declined the payment to show "proof" of the fee, and when I read it I realized he had scanned a pack of hubba bubba gum and was trying to charge him the $1 fee for the transaction and $5.99 for a gum he was not even purchasing. When I pointed this out he immediately denied it and told me hubba bubba is a person and took away the receipt. LMFAO. tons of people in the line behind me seen what was going on. I was on my way through town and needed a sugar and potty break before the long and winding road to Trinity County. The bathroom is located in the back left corner of the store and not clearly marked. An employee pointed me in the right direction. The bathroom could use some TLC but it was clean for the most part. This is also a gas station so it can be a one stop travel stop. read more

(Posting for the benefit of other slurpee loving individuals) I am moving today and I went to 7/11 for BYOC Day to fill my KFC bucket with delicious goodness and when I walked in the cashier said my cup was tooooo big but clearly it fit their measurement requirements because it fit through the measuring tool! So I walked out angry...I mean they really ruined my day! Then my dad said a few things and the guy apologized and told him I could get my slurpee. Wish I could give ZERO STARS. the woman working the night shift on 6/19/15 REFUSED to sell alcohol to my 21 year old boyfriend. Incredibly rude the entire time and for some reason couldn't read his ID correctly. She kept saying his birthday was ten days earlier and one year later than it clearly is printed on his drivers license. Instead of swiping it on the machine she entered it in manually and because she was illiterate she entered it incorrectly and told him he couldn't purchase the alcohol. I have never in my life been refused when trying to purchase something because the employee was literally just illiterate (stupid). We went to Valero where it was cheaper AND they had more selection and we will not be returning. I will be calling and complained to the company as well. Very friendly management! Staff is hit and miss on customer service. Selection of snacks and what not is fine. There is a redbox outside! I would have rated it higher but this is the hang out for a lot of shady characters. read more
