Our family has been frequenting this quaint Cafe' for years. I discovered it when working for the Rancheria across the street. The food is fresh, healthy, creative to the pallet and just delicious. A vast menu too. The baristas and tenders are always genuinely personable. My personal fav's are the breakfast burritos, breakfast quiche and salads that are made fresh. The dressings are impeccable. Topped with a london fog or a matcha with oat milk....hand's down...divine! Caffe' Pagato's name reflects someone paying for someone else's coffee anonymously, paying it forward. Today is our first visit. I ordered the quiche of the day and it was really good. And HUGE. Like share with your husband huge. It was all veggie. A ton of veggies. Here's what I remember her saying: potato, cilantro, thyme, rosemary, sage, paprika, onion, garlic, tomato, broccoli, arugula. I may have missed some veggies lol. The cheeses are Parmesan, cheddar, Colby jack (I'm not a fan so I'm not 100% sure about the name of this cheese). I think the Jack gave it a nice kick though. There was also a crusty bottom. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the incredibly thick layer of cheese on top. It was way too much especially considering there was a layer in the quiche right above the crust. So I took it all off - easy to do - and gave it to Randy (he's a cheese ho). Randy ordered the breakfast burrito: chorizo, hash browns, cheese, black beans and it came with salsa. He liked it ok but said he'd order something different next time. He loved my quiche. He also ordered a mocha and the more he drinks it the more he likes it. Has a nice bittersweet chocolate taste and not as much coffee taste. They had a container of pesto pasta that we ordered to have later today but we each had a bite and it's super flavorful. Customer service is awesome! Very friendly and helpful and quick. We sat outside - it's a gorgeous morning - and there are also tables inside. We will definitely be back. read more

My absolutely favorite coffee spot in town! A small gem attached to the CalTrans building downtown. The coffee is the best I've had in the city. But what keeps us coming back is the staff is so so kind and wonderful. (I'm talking about you Johnathan!) The owner has been so sweet to us on several occasions as well. The coffee is fantastic and their food is out of this world!!! Every experience to this lovely spot has been a joy! There's not a single thing I would improve on and the only time we visit other locations is when they are closed. Such an amazing little cafe! Truly Reddings best kept secret. If you are looking for a warm, friendly place to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee and lunch, you have to give them a try! I wish we had a place like this back at home. Great study environment: well lit, spacious, and option between booth seating and chairs. The customer service was amazing here. As usual, I wasn't sure what to order. The barista recommended the holy honey latte (off-menu). Apparently, the honey comes from a nearby monastery, which is why it's called "holy". Then again, the barista could have been pulling my leg; I'm not sure since I was so dead tired after driving 3 hours up to Redding. The holy honey latte hit the spot. Sweet, cinnamony, and the caffeine was just what I needed before a 3 hour drive back home. For those who are lactose-intolerant or caffeine-tolerant, you can substitute soy or almond milk for an additional 50 cents or add an extra shot of espresso for 75 cents. Located in CalTrans station across form the Shasta Regional Medical Center. Would definitely recommend this to other fellow Yelpers who happen to be in the area or need a bit of pick-me-up when passing by. read more

Very friendly people here. I only drink decaf coffee and very few cafés/coffee bars, and restaurants know how to make a good cup of decaf coffee and this one is one of them. I have had nothing but bad luck here. From unfriendly staff, overpriced coffee, too undercooked food. I keep trying hoping it will get better. I've been here at least 5 times in the last two months. The food is always cold when I order it hot and tastes like it's been sitting on the counter for hours. Over 7$ for a medium iced coffee with a splash of milk. Found this cute coffee shop recently and fell in love. Let's start with the interior. It's super clean inside. The decor reminds me of a shop you'd find in LA. It's a smaller shop, so there's limited seating. But I love the small shop feel. The people that work there are beyond nice! Always chit chat with us and make you feel really comfortable. They have special drinks that they do seasonally. My hubby and I are sort of coffee snobs, so we're pretty picky when it comes to the actual flavor of the espresso. Their espresso has great flavor and doesn't need to be covered up with a bunch of sugary syrups. But if you like to add a little flavor to your coffee, they use high end syrups as well as house made syrups and sauces (which are really yummy). Their baked good selection is off the charts good. They always have big beautiful organic muffins that are to die for as well as kolaches that are extremely tasty. Everything is made from scratch fresh daily. The shop is located near Shasta Regional hospital. Even if your not in the area, give this place a try. It is so worth it! read more

I love their coffee however their customer service needs some serious improvement. Time and again I have gone for the coffee and been very disappointed with the customer service I have received. On at least three occasions I have stood near the register for about five minutes with not one of the four employees to greet me. And at least twice have had a CalTrans worker cut me in line. Given the fact that I come on my 10 minute break at work and have to walk a bit to get there I wish the customer service would improve. read more

Stopped here while first exploring the Redding area. The Americano was very good and they had a large selection of specialty lattes that they make everything for in-house.
