When ever I visit Redding this is one of my go to coffee stops. Love it every time. The coffee, the the workers are so pleasant.

This is a very cute and special local coffee shop. There is a drive thru and indoor/outdoor seating available to enjoy your drink. I can see they truly support their community and the community loves them back by the decorations inside the shop. I ordered an iced vanilla latte and it was really good! (‍ approved!!) There are food options such as rice bowls, tacos, cold wraps, breakfast wraps, salads, and cold/hot wrap available. The staff here are very nice and welcoming. I was greeted immediately by staff and there are regulars that come here and the staff knew them right away and had nice casual conversations. I highly suggest anyone from anyone out of town to support this local business! I will be coming back next time I'm in town! read more

Food was good but way overpriced. $14.00 for a wrap?!? The lady was super nice until I called to report that my Moroccan wrap had something hard in it similar to tree bark. I was then told that no one has ever come back and complained about their food having something in it. I replied with well I can send you a picture via text and she said she doesn't give out her phone number to customers because she has had a bad experience in the past. She then told me to come by and maybe she would compensate me a drink. This is my response, I don't want you to give me a drink. I want you to realize that something was in the food you made for me that could have cracked a tooth. Please learn to give your customer the benefit of the doubt and don't alienate them by saying you have had bad experiences in the past with customers. Stopped by here on a road trip and absolutely loved it! Spent a week driving through Cali, Oregon, and Nevada and stopped at many coffee shops, no question this was my favorite of the whole trip. Ok... WARNING... Sick & tired of sub par service, ABSOLUTELY CRAPPY CUSTOMER SERVICE & bad food in Redding!!!! I went through the drive thru today. I ordered EXACTLY like this!!!! I would like 1- Moroccan GRILLER 1- Chipotle chicken WRAP 1- Cranberry apple salad I paid over $30. There was no attempt to clarify anything in my order. I ordered it exactly the way it's listed off their online menu!!! Response... "ok that will be about 5 minutes." 15 minutes later I get my food. No biggie. It's lunch time & I know they get busy. As I drive away, I reach over to assure my food won't fall onto the floorboard at the stop light & think oh my hot griller is on top of the wrap & the salad. I'd better take it out of the bag. I then take the top box out & realize the middle box is equally as hot if not hotter than the one on top. I get to another stop & open both boxes. What do you know... they are both grilled! You might think no big deal BUT I ordered the WRAP for my boyfriend who does NOT EAT HOT SPINACH AT ALL!! The WRAP comes with lettuce mix & by definition on their menu the wrap is cold! So.... great now I'm on my way home to feed him before he goes to work for 12 hours & he will not eat ANYTHING I bought! I called Kaleidoscope... no answer & it says their phone is not set up to leave a message. I call again. Finally they answer. I explained the problem & I am immediately met with the response " well I don't understand what the problem is, they're both wraps!" Then I explained to her "well on YOUR MENU online it grillers & wraps are listed SEPARATELY! When i placed the order, at no time did she asked me whether I wanted the WRAP hot or cold either. I mean obviously the GRILLER is going to be hot and if I ordered 1-griller and a 1-wrap I would think it should be obvious that one would be hot the other one would be cold!" After arguing with the gal on the phone & literally hearing the young lady in the background lie & say I ordered 2- grillers which I certainly DID NOT! I said "look I just spent over $30 & my order is wrong! I don't understand why you're arguing with me!" She then said "well it's no problem... we can remake it or comp your order some other time". I said "it most certainly is a problem because I'm driving home to feed someone who is leaving for work for 12 hours & he has nothing I'm bringing home that he will eat!" I also told her "I don't need the whole order comped. I just needed what I ordered to be correct." She took my name & said "well you can come by & get it any time. When can we expect you? Sunday? Monday?" I said "I don't know... I used to eat there all the time! (almost weekly) I stopped coming over a year ago because you guys were messing up all our orders then! This was actually my boyfriend's first time ever trying kaleidoscope, so let's just say I don't think he's ever going to be interested in eating there again! So I hung up... FURIOUS!!!! People my boyfriend & I have both worked in food service in the past. It is NOT THAT DIFFICULT especially with a small limited menu at a tiny little coffee shop! Food was good, patio is dog friendly. COVID precautions are spotty at best. Some of the staff wears masks, others don't. Tables inside aren't 6 ft apart, customers are not wearing masks and they are not required to do so. Frankly it's not a place I would go back to based on their poor COVID precautions. read more

I am not pleased to have to write this review, but today was the last straw. I have always liked the food and beverage here, and although it is a bit pricy compared to similar establishments, its one of the only places in town to get good breakfast food without getting out of your vehicle. Ill chalk it up to a small additional price for convenience, especially since I'm in that area of town frequently. It is also noteworthy that individually, all the employees have been very friendly. But this restaurant has some SERIOUS flaws within its system. Ive been coming here for years now, but today was unfortunately my last time. There is no drive-thru ordering system, which means you have to place your order once you get to the window. If there is more than ONE car in line at the drive-thru, expect to wait 20-30+ minutes, (sometimes just to place your order) especially if you or the patron in front of you is ordering food. Literally every time I'm here, if there is a line of two or more, AT LEAST one car leaves (including today). That is A LOT of business lost. I'd imagine this must happen on a daily basis. Sometimes if the line backs up an employee will come out with an I pad and take your order, but there is usually only two people working at a time, which means that one less person inside preparing orders, and in my experience, it doesn't save much time if any all. Now, that extra price is no longer for convenience. Today when I finally got my breakfast griller, (keyword "griller") it was COMPLETELY cold. A breakfast wrap with eggs, bacon, cheese etc. completely cold. I don't just mean cold in the middle, ( which has also happened on multiple occasions), I mean not even attempted to have been heated up. When I pulled back through the line, they said they must have forgot to put it in the microwave?? But it's a "griller"!! And the strange thing was the wrap had grill marks on it, which were just as cold to the touch as the rest of it. Another noteworthy incident: I bit into a hard piece of plastic (maybe from a plastic fork) in a wrap once. When I spoke with the employee about it afterwords ( who was very embarrassed, but also very nice) she said all the employees are frustrated by the system that is in place as well, and that this happens a lot and there is nothing the they can do about it. She said if they try anything different they're reprimanded, and told they're doing it wrong. In conclusion, Ive given this business (specifically the Athens location) many chances. The food is good. The coffee is good. The staff are generally pleasant. But for the price, The wait is wayyyy too long 90% of the time, and I have had way too many incidents with my orders. Its no longer just a one off. I worked in the restaurant/service industry for 10 years, and I understand the people make mistakes, and I'm generally very patient, because I've been there, and I know sometimes things happen, but there is excuse for this. It is not the employees fault, that they are SLAMMED (the term the cashier used today) when there is two cars in line (was three but one left) and 2-3 people inside. That is not that busy. And in the 4+ years I've been coming here, there seems to be a very quick turnover rate of employees, which means they don't like to stick around too long. To the management: GET IT TOGETHER!! In-N-Outs drive thru during the dinner rush moves faster faster than yours! Get a damn drive thru ordering system! stop losing customers, and stop making your employees to blame for an incredibly inefficient system!!!! This business needs a COMPLETE overhaul before I ever go there again. :( P.S, This is my first review ever. Typically, I give business more than one chance, and if I really don't like it, I just don't return. Im here because I see the potential in this business, and I want them to do MUCH better. And I don't think its fair that the employees get the brunt of peoples frustrations and in turn make mistakes because they're stressed out about how "slammed" they are, when its such a clearly flawed system on the management end. read more
