I work Graveshift a block away from this 7-11, but would have to go to another location because this one was always closed after 1:00am. I am so happy to see that it is now open all night long. Dinesh Umar has provided excellent customer service every time I have gone in since it reopened during the night. He is friendly, pleasant and quick to ask if I need assistance. Not sure why the harsh reviews of this 7-11; it's not any better, or worse, than any other 7-11 I've been to. The people working here are generally pretty friendly and helpful. My only qualm about this location is the parking situation can seriously suck balls--especially when SJSU kicks into gear at the beginning of each semester. The parking lot is tiny and can get super-packed thanks to the House of Bagels next door. Other than that, it's your average 7-11. I use it to get cash; buy lotto tickets; an occasional drink and feed my newspaper Jones. read more

After the Beyonce concert my friend and I were really craving ICEEs. We went to an Extra Mile down the street but that stupid place had the doors locked and a cashier who could pick out snacks and drinks from the store and pass them through a window for security reasons. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS RACIST ESTABLISHMENT - It saddens me to be writing this review but it's absolutely necessary. I live down the street from this 7-Eleven so my boyfriend and I would come here 3-4x a week. I'll start off by saying I will no longer be coming here no matter how close and convenient this place is to me. My boyfriend, housemate and myself were leaving the gym and stopped here for some snacks and wine. When we got up to the cashier to pay, the cashier (photos attached) told my boyfriend, "the guy in the back saw you take something." This was all made up because there was no guy in the "back". The cashier then proceeded to make my boyfriend open up his gym bag, took the bag from him because he couldn't visibly see anything and looked through the bag. After he found NOTHING, the cashier was left speechless but did NOT apologize AT ALL. We said what he did was "racist" and he did not have anything to say. Ultimately, I decided to not purchase anything from here and drive 5 minutes to another store for the same exact items. If you're reading this review, I ask you to be weary of the employees working here. I'm sure not all of them are racist but the other day one of the employees almost charged me $29 for a protein bar that was $3.75. That's another story not nearly as important but this most recent situation that we have encountered has left us so upset because of how blatantly racist and WRONG the cashier was. read more

This is my local 7-Eleven. I grew up with 7-Eleven. Slurpees in the summer but don't drink too fast or else you get that brain freeze! UGH!! Back in the day they only had two flavors. Now there are at least 4 or more. And if you just want a soda.......Big Gulps are the best!! Even better are those huge ass insulated mugs they sell. They keep your drink and ice cold and icy for hours!! And it's only .99 cents for a refill. You cannot beat that!! Those mugs are dishwasher safe too....top shelf of course. They have so many drinks to choose from too......water, soda, mineral water, beer, energy drinks, you name it....the cases are full. And let's not forget the coffee. The coffee is not bad at all. I mean they have the latte thing goin on with the little machine and regular coffee, flavored coffee......there is something for everyone. 7-Eleven is just a great little store. No matter where you go, you can find one and you know what you'll get. This particular store does money orders and has an ATM. It's nice to know that some things done't change. read more

The old guy African American working night shifts, makes up prices, and is a constant asshole. Tonight I was buying an Arizona at 1:55 am, and three girls come in to buy alcohol. The clock on his store says 2:05 I have no idea why, and he told the girls that they couldn't buy alcohol when they already were in that section. He goes on to go to where they were and basically shoves the girls so he could lock the doors to the alcohol, while they showed him their phone saying 1:56 and he didn't care, forcing the girls out. If he doesn't get fired, that 7-11 will lose revenue during night shifts. read more

5 stores within walking distance of campus, and this one is the coziest. Can't blame them for wrinkled weiners, since there's a sausage restaurant next door. Some foreigners act rude when they're not intending to, and sometimes that's what's happening at this place. The prices here have sometimes been a little higher than the other 4 stores. Walked in late last week, bought a hotdog which gave me a cold. Going next door for hotdogs from now on. read more

Conveniently located right next to SJSU, this seven eleven has some of the best service I've come across. Most notably the woman who works here during the day is just awesome. She's always going about her business laughing and smiling, always super helpful, and always quick. They don't have the best quality foods here (I mean it's a convenience store after all), but they do have some crazy good deals. You can get a whole pepperoni pizza for about $5, hotdogs are $1.00 each, and other snacks are super cheap as well. Not a bad place to buy beer if you're in a pinch either. I usually just stop in for snacks and energy drinks, they have yet to fail me. read more

I hate this 7-11. I grew up right down the street from a 7-11 so I know very well what they should be. All but the lady during the day are buffoons. In addition to the poor attitude there, the African guy that works the night shift constantly makes up the prices as he sees fit. I thought that he was shady so I purchased two items that had the price printed on them and he over charged me but then thought about it and reduced the price to the right one. This place is an all-nigher haven for students studying midterms or working late on assignments. Coffee, sandwiches, and a wonderful short distance away from campus is what makes this 7-11 the best one I've been too. Also, the clerks are nice. read more

I love this particular 7-11, the staff is always friendly even when there is a line of obnoxious drunk college kids. The staff is also good with keeping their store clean, and the lines moving. All I can say is that I have not witnessed such poor attitude. Elora was working today's shift and I can honestly say that I think she has some major issues. Our family of 4 went in this morning to buy drinks..while paying, we were missing a penny in which my 5 yr old daughter saw one on the floor. Elora looked annoyed and irritated and did not appear to have the patience in waiting for our little girl to pick up the penny so I commented and asked my daughter to hurry up because we are annoying the cashier/ That comment must have made her upset as she glared at me. I later commented as she continued to glare at me that she must be having a bad day. She blew up on me while my kids were there and called me a bitch and commented that we are privileged???!! She ranted on about her being a college student and that daddy didn't pay for her way. We didn't know what triggered her so I asked to speak with her manager. With her crazy wide eyes she said he's not here! So I asked her what's his name, she must of heard me wrong because she pointed to her name badge and said, you can't read?! It's right here! (pointing to her name badge) So I asking for your manager's name. With clenched teeth, she told me it's Mike and that he'll be in tomorrow at 8am. This girl clearly has some issues so I do feel sorry for her up until we walked back into our car and she gave us the middle finger to wish us on our way out of the parking lot. Just amazing..I will be contacting the manager to let him know as well as their corporate office.
