My go order is peach orange oolong tea! Crowded on the weekend so order ahead via online app like DoorDash. I also love their book bag and tea tins that you can buy and make your own tea at home.
Sometimes, I get to feel like I'm cool with Gen Z because I'm lucky to have a niece and nephew that tell me where to get the latest and greatest. In this case, one of these spots is Arisan. Since Matcha has exploded in popularity to my annoyance, (I say this because I was into Matcha before it started trending), I had to try. Once inside, everything looks aesthetically pleasing with seating on either side up against the walls. The layout is clean and non cluttered which I can appreciate from a design standpoint. The menu is clearly displayed on the countertop and it's nice to see that you still have an actual person to take your order. No iPad ordering here. Please keep it that way! I also loved the high ceilings and bright light from the floor to ceiling windows in the front. As you look to the right, you can also see all the Arisan branded products including canvas tote bags and loose leaf tea canisters lining the wall shelves. Nice touch. Now let's get to the good stuff. They specifically told me about one drink that was so unique and refreshing. Which drink was it? **Matcha Cloud Coconut Water $8.95- 100% fresh young coconut water + Matcha cream: This drink was so unique because the coconut water was so distinct and refreshing. The Matcha cream sat on top before slowly trickling down to mix in with the coconut water. I would have never thought to put these 2 flavors together. It was delicious especially on a day where it was 97 degrees here in SJ.
A tea and coffee shop at story road specialized in matcha , milk tea, coffee, fruit tea and other cold drink. It also serves pastries. The shop is not that big but it has table and seating area. I stopped by while waiting for table for my lunch. I order mango passion fruit oolong tea. Phin black. The drink were ready pretty quickly. The mango passion fruit oolong tea was nice. The coffee is nice too. The service was nice and will stop by again next time to try other drink.
I got the matcha on matcha. Matcha was such good quality and so smooth, absolutely loved it!
Cute tea and coffee house in San Jose! The salty egg yolk cake was solid, I loved the flavor of the salty egg and the soft, airy texture of the cake. I tried a Matcha Tiramisu Latte and thought it was good but not exactly what I was expecting. The matcha isn't too strong and the tiramisu part of the drink was a ladyfinger on the side in which you can choose to dip into the drink. The place was packed and busy. But still a good spot to try out if you don't mind a short wait

The tea itself tasted very mid from the first sip, and there was nothing memorable about the flavor. The biggest issue was the aftertaste, which lingered in my mouth even after swallowing and made the drink hard to enjoy. Since this was a takeout order, I did not have much interaction with the service, but the ordering experience was straightforward enough. Nothing stood out in a particularly positive or negative way there. I also did not spend much time inside, so I cannot fully speak to the ambiance. Based on this drink alone, though, Arisan Tea House did not leave much of an impression. The Jasmine Oolong Milk Tea was forgettable at first and unpleasant by the end.
If you're looking for a really yummy and refreshing drink, definitely check out Arisan Tea & Coffee!!! I came here with friends, and we all got different drinks. They ordered the mango passion fruit tea and the strawberry matcha latte, while I got the tropical fruit tea. My friends were kind enough to let me try their drinks, and I have to say everything was refreshing, cooling, and super tasty. My tropical fruit tea was really good too! The atmosphere was chill, the decor was nice, and it was just a great spot to relax and hang out with friends. Definitely check it out if you're around the area!
I passed by this shop after having lunch in the area and thought to try one of their drinks. It's a cute, well-kept cafe with modern aesthetic vibes. They have a few tables inside and outside, if you'd like to enjoy your tea or coffee in-house. I looked at the menu near the entry and placed my order with an efficient and friendly barista. I wanted to try something different, so I ordered a Matcha Tiramisu Latte thinking there would be some essence of tiramisu in the drink. It was good, though I ordered it because I thought there'd be something more like a splash of coffee liqueur to taste like tiramisu. I guess I should have studied the menu a bit more before making assumptions. Nonetheless, the matcha drink had a nice mascarpone creamy foam top and rich matcha flavor. The lady finger was crispy and light perfect for dipping into the matcha drink. If I'm ever in the area again, I would pass on the Matcha Tiramisu Latte and try their Strawberry Matcha drink instead. That might be a better option, knowing there will be another layering flavor other than matcha.

Stopped by Arisan Tea & Coffee House and was really impressed! The place was super busy when we went, which is always a good sign, but they had plenty of seating so it still felt comfortable. Parking is a pain though, it's in the middle of Vietnam town which is always packed. I ordered the jasmine milk tea with jelly and it was good the tea had a nice floral flavor, tasted fresh, though I would prefer it to be more sweet. The jelly was a great add-on too. I can tell why this place is popular! I want to try the matcha einspinnar next because I heard that was popular. Definitely a spot I'd come back to when I'm in the area!
Love Arisan, but wish they never took off the coconut matcha latte off their menu :( This place is so cute, wait time can get crazy, it can also get crazy packed inside during peak hours. Their matcha is pretty strong and is probably one of the view places that has me wired. The matcha honey latte is perfect, strawberry matcha einspanner is a little more on the sweet side for me (can't make less sweet). Everytime I've come here for matcha the quality is pretty consistent! They also sell yummy cakes in their display case, I'll definitely have to try sometime!
Hands down my favorite matcha in the bay area. The strawberry puree is sweet yet subtle. The strawberry cold foam adds a nice touch to the drink and of course, the matcha is strong. I find myself halfway through the drink by the time I make it out the door.
Been wanting to try this spot for awhile and i'm so glad I did! I got the banana matcha and it's easily one of the best i've had. The banana cream is sweet and creamy and mixes so well with the matcha which is less sweet. I got my drink with extra sweetness, and it was perfect. There's real banana pieces at the bottom of the drink too which I LOVE! I'd get it in a larger size if I could. Definitely coming back for the banana matcha and to try something new! Stopped by to try their matcha because the menu looked intriguing. The interior was adorable, the service was friendly, and our drinks came out within about five minutes. The strawberry matcha einspänner was beautifully presented, with strawberry jam at the bottom and a thick layer of strawberry foam on top. Unfortunately, the flavor and texture did not quite live up to the presentation. Even after mixing it thoroughly, the matcha tasted thin and was overpowered by an overly sweet, artificial strawberry flavor. It may be a fun choice for someone looking for a cute, sweet drink to photograph, but serious matcha lovers may find it underwhelming. The honey matcha was an even bigger miss for us. That said, they offer several unique drinks, including pennywort-based options, that I have not seen elsewhere and may be worth trying instead. Amazing milk tea and drinks! I wish I was closer to this place so I could get it more often. Their menu is concentrated on their specialties, which I always see as a good thing for cafes like this (too big a menu is overwhelming). The atmosphere is cute and intimate. There's a good amount of seating but it does get busy during peak weekend hours, so you may not get seating if you come with a group. My favorite drinks are the tie guan yin dark roast oolong milk tea and the woody black milk tea. I can't choose my favorite between the 2 because they're both so good! The flavor of the tea really sings and is enhanced by the jelly. I recommend getting the drinks less sweet so that the tea flavor comes out more. I've also gotten the strawberry matcha einspanner drink but I thought that was just okay, not the best matcha I've had. The milk teas are better. Overall, love this place and will come back whenever I'm in the area! read more

One of the best south bay high quality milk tea places in my opinion. You can really tell they care about the quality if their tea and milk. They have a free heartwarming anecdotes around the store. I'd highly recommend giving them a read. Taste: Strong fresh tea flavor. They also give free tea jelly for certain drinks. Parking Tons of plaza parking. Service: Fast and easy! Ambiance: I'll come here to study once in a while but there isn't too much seating. read more

I usually order my drinks less sweet, but this time my friend got the regular sweetness for me, and it ended up being too sweet for my taste. Even so, the drink itself was still creamy and delicious, and I could tell it would have been perfect if adjusted to my usual preference. The service was quick, and it didn't affect the quality of the drink at all, which I appreciated. The staff seemed efficient and consistent with their preparation. However, the store felt a bit cramped and almost suffocating, especially with how crowded it was. There wasn't much room to move around comfortably, so I had to step outside to get some fresh air. It's probably a better spot for grabbing drinks to go rather than staying inside for long. read more
Had a quick pitstop here while in the area as we were exploring SJ's Vietnam Town. Figured I needed another jolt of java prior to Superbowl LX's kickoff. This small café had limited seating inside including a row of tables for two leading to the toilet. This place was clean and adorned with merch & VDay decor. Ordered the Phin Truffle (robusta, condensed milk and truffle cheese) which was a sweet and salty iced concoction. The truffle cheese was a welcome burst of flavor though I found this beverage to be too sweet. A little disappointed that this was a cold drink without a hot beverage option though. For snacks, we got the Matcha Choux au Craquelin and Salted Egg Cake. Both were smacktastic indulgences. Service was fast from the young crew manning the counter. read more

I am so happy to have found this place. It has easily become one of my FAVORITE matcha spots in San Jose. You can taste the quality of their matcha, it is so rich and creamy. Every drink I've had here has been amazing. My favorites are the matcha Einspanner and the regular honey matcha latte. I'm not one to order boba in my matcha but I've tried the boba here and it pairs so well with the drink. The workers here really take their time to make sure each drink is perfect. The flavor is consistent every time I come in. Parking can be a hassle, since it is located in a busy plaza. However, if you go early it's easier to find a spot! read more

I really like their Matcha Cloud Coconut Water drink. It's so good and refreshing! The coconut water tastes fresh and not like it's from a carton. The matcha cloud is very fluffy and has a strong flavor. That combination is amazing! The line and wait were long because it's so popular. The website wasn't working, so we couldn't order online to get our drinks faster unfortunately. Overall, it's a solid matcha spot, and I want to try their Matcha Einspanner Latte in the future because I heard it is really good as well. read more
I crave for their matcha drinks every weekend but the downside is it's too as it's in SJ and they don't let you change the ice level. Ever since I discovered their Matcha Coconut Water, it is my GO TO drink. The Strawberry Matcha Einspanner Latte is my 2nd fave as the strawberry foam is to DIE for as it's light and fluffy!!! Last week, I brought my coworkers to try it and they also liked it too. I hope one day the owner will consider to branch out to San Francisco. LOL read more

Alright spot, but the wait was super long and parking was difficult since the lot is shared with other establishments. We got the salted egg cake, which tasted pretty odd. Normally, I enjoy the balance of salty and sweet, but in this cake it just didn't work. The pork floss with sweet cream didn't go together. Arisan sits at one of my top places to get matcha drinks. Formerly Tee-hee and rebranded to Arisan located on the side of Vietnam town plaza closer facing Walmart. The matcha einspanner is the perfect ratio of matcha flavor and sweetness. The drink is consistent every time I come here. There may be a wait on weekends but you can hang around in the area while they prepare your order since they give restaurant buzzers. read more

Lovely cafe in Vietnam Town! Very cute and clean inside and lots of seating to enjoy the drinks and food which was really nice. The different flavors of cream puffs looked really interesting. Drinks and service were both quite quick, and thought the matcha latte was pretty solid-strong matcha taste and beautiful green color. read more
Really nutty and umami matcha that's not bitter! Really enjoyed the taste of both the honey matcha and the strawberry matcha einspanner. I do wish the matcha was a little smoother and if they gave less ice, especially since it's around $8 for the drink. Otherwise, very tasty! This is the first time that I've been to this establishment -- the first in a while ever since Tea Lyfe closed (though they were open in another unit). If you're looking for a boba shop with an aesthetic, alternate option other than Tram Coffee House for Vietnamese coffee and more, look no further than Arisan! It was a bit busy when I went to Arisan, considering it was two days after the new year. While there was a lot of people, there was surprisingly a lot of seating available, and lots of space. They also had a wide variety of pastries available as well -- which I thought was a pretty good sighting. I got the matcha einspanner latte, which was matcha-based with the milk. It tasted very silky, and not too sweet. The customer service at Arisan was very straight forward, and was quick when it came with the drinks. Overall, a coffee shop I would go back to if I were to take my friends out (like my friends in the picture! We all got drinks from Arisan!) read more

Definitely one of my group's top choices for tea here in SJ. We came by on a Saturday evening and the place is packed! Small shop and has a good number of tables and chairs. Service was super fast and the staff were super friendly. The shop's decorations were really cute too. Tea flavor was very strong and flavorful. Only thing is, less sweet was still very sweet but that might just be an SJ thing (noticed it with other places too). Tea jelly was great and overall had a great experience here.
