That was the most impressive coffee I've ever had, and it was really fun to watch the cool equipment being used to make it.

I ordered 3 drinks, and Iced Hojicha tea, a Banana Bourbon Iced latte, and a Citrus Chill. The coffee was well balanced but the citrus chill was my favorite as it had a tart finish that brightened up the fruity notes in the espresso. I need to go back because everything I ordered was iced and I want to try some of the hot drinks. The banana bourbon latte was good, I wish it had maybe a more pronounced banana flavor and that the bourbon came through more. But the oat milk and the coffee were so smooth and luxurious that it made the experience enjoyable. Important note: with Mitsua market and the busy food areas there, this plaza gets incredibly busy! The espresso shot used in the iced mocha was not fully dialed to hit that balanced note that we are used to. The cold brew tasted more muddy than the previous time. Overall, the customer service seemed more like us inconveniencing the team, as opposed to being welcomed into the space. We noticed after we ordered our drinks, a line formed, and no one was available to take orders for customers due to behind the counter conversations that seemed more important than serving customers. There were two gentlemen who had been there approximately 10 minutes before us, and went to the pick up station three times to see if their orders were ready (multiple customers got their coffee and tea drinks before them). A quick note on the customer service - as someone who worked in food service for a number of years, I could empathize with teams that deal with high volume of customers. However, what separates good from great customer service is the ability to communicate with your customer when times are busy, as opposed to ignoring them. There are seated areas but fill up quickly, and they do have an outdoor space to hangout as well. Amazing coffee place! The espresso was smooth and perfectly balanced (not bitter or acidic). Plus the flavor syrups are perfectly balanced in the latte. I tried the Honey Black Sesame Latte, and while I wasn't sure I would like it, I ended up loving it! The flavor was super delicious, and went really well with the espresso flavor. We also ordered the avocado toast which is made on a Japanese milk bread slice. The seasoning toppings were super interesting and yummy, just maybe would have liked a bit more of the toppings personally. I really liked the larger menu of super unique drinks and definitely will be coming back to try a couple more that caught my eye! Interesting digital coffee shop. I was excited to see this shop was located in the same shopping center as Mitsuwa. Parking can be tricky, but, luckily, we snagged a spot right in front of the doors. Walking in, every table was filled with people working, talking, and hanging out. The staff were busy yet friendly and welcoming. I ordered a Honey Black Sesame Latte with Oat Milk and my partner got a drip coffee. Our order came out in less than 10 minutes, even though there were many orders ahead of ours. I found the digital system to be interesting to watch while I waited for our drinks. My latte was very tasty and balanced. My partner's drip coffee was okay, nothing to write home about. I'm a traditional hot coffee drinker (cappuccinos are usually my go-to), so I was excited to try Coffee & Water Lab. We ordered a Cortado and the Honey Sea Salt Latte -- both were excellent. The espresso was rich, smooth, and perfectly pulled, which really showed in both drinks. The honey sea salt latte had a really nice balance of sweet and savory that wasn't overly sweet. We also got a croissant, which was flaky and delicious. They clearly have strong breakfast options overall -- the cheesy toast pictured on their page looked amazing too. Everything felt fresh and thoughtfully prepared. This is a great spot for quality coffee and solid breakfast food. While we were told all three employees took a "break". Meanwhile, all of us in line paid for tickets and were given a 3 espresso based item menu. Partly, falsely advertised by the event yes, but as the sole vendor (advertised for multiple).. it was sad to see how they handled the crowd. All three employees made ONE drink and the coffee machine of choose to host such a larger crowd-- looked to be a home Breville.. this isn't even sustainable. Just disappointing. The yuzu lemonade fizz was not appealing, it tasted artificial had not a pleasant taste. The honey lavender latte after mixed tasted mostly like milk and not enough lavender or coffee, I would have most likely needed a double shot for that flavor to go through. The Vietnamese nitro was something unique. That drink tasted the best out of the three that I received. I loved how there were options for different types of roast which was refreshing to see. Service was decent, drinks came out at a decent time and offered a take out cup when you're not finished. I've been coming here for a while and decided to give this place an official review. People are always working here. I think it's because it's spacious and has good lighting. Even when it's busy, the service is pretty quick. The workers here are always super friendly. I don't think I've ever had a negative customer service experience here. They have a solid base menu and unique seasonal drinks. From their regular menu, I usually order one of their cold brews. I ordered the maple cream cold brew this time around. It had a nice maple syrup taste and was perfectly sweet. My fiance ordered the banana bourbon latte. We both really liked it. We always look forward to their seasonal drinks. I ordered the Chinese sausage breakfast burrito, which I had been meaning to try for a while. It was tasty, but a little small for 8 dollars. Came here for coffee and carbs on a Friday morning upon the recommendation of my daughter and son-in-law. We sat outside as this coffeeshop was packed and we didn't want to rub elbows with the other customers. I wanted to get the Honey Black Sesame Latte but the disinterested cashier said it was unavailable and suggested in a mumbled tone, a cappuccino. One star deducted. After begrudgingly saying yes, I was thankful that he allowed me to order the rest of what was on my list of dine-ins and to-gos. I guess my wife liked the Blueberry Mascarpone toast and Vietnamese Nitro Cold Brew Float as she finished hers before I was done with my overcooked Ham & Swiss Cheese toast. Another star taken out. The cappuccino was decent though. The Madagascar Latte and Toasted Caramel Latte we took home brought no complaints from the daughter and SIL as well. For my son's school, parents are encouraged to meet up once a month to socialize and grow our community. Last year, our grade-level lead parent chose Coffee & Water Lab as our home base, which was awesome because I'd frequently drive by and see it from the road but never had a good reason to stop and try. The space is relatively long but quite narrow so everyone is seated basically side by side. For our meetups, this can be very challenging to find a space ahead of time as all tables are tables for two (a few fours maybe?) if I recall correctly, and you have to push them together for a bigger group. Unfortunately, if you don't have a big enough group yet (stragglers), it's hard to justify hogging a lot of tables. Fortunately on the other hand, as our group grows, as long as there are empty tables elsewhere, a lot of clientele have been incredibly gracious and offered (we didn't ask) to move to help accommodate our newcomers. The drinks are quite unique and very tasty. Personal favorite is the little gingerbread man cookie that comes with some fall/wintery seasonal items. Apparently the food is fantastic too - a fellow parent claims he gained easily 5 lbs in half a year for their avocado toast (we meet monthly, but because of his new-found love for this place, he started going weekly). I have to say, I appreciate the staff a lot. I was a bit out of it and definitely pre-caffeinated when I came in to order one morning. The staff member incredibly patient as I scanned and contemplated my life choices boiling down to my drink order. And when I finally came to my senses and chose one, he then asks me the following clarifying questions rather than assume, which I insanely appreciate cuz I would have likely had a much less smooth start otherwise (size, hot or cold, ice or no ice, here or to-go, whole milk or alternative). I still drive by from time to time and think fondly of this place and all the lovely memories that were made from the year prior. I really should pull into the lot and just enjoy a slower quiet morning again on my own someday. read more

Been here a handful of times and I'd say it's a solid choice for coffee. You can tell they take pride in the quality of the ingredients they source. My iced Madagascar latte was HUGE! I've also tried some of their more fun seasonal drinks like Honey Pandan Latte which was very sweet. Liked that you could pick your roast type in your espresso drinks. This is a special lil spot. Their hours are really convenient since they open early and close later than plenty of coffee shops. They have a wide variety of beans from different locations and really knowledgeable baristas. Pastries are fresh (most of the time) and the wraps are made fresh to order. Everything is reasonably priced. Only thing I could say is there's too many signs and options and it can get overwhelming. Loved their pumpkin cream top over cold brew. Can really taste that they use fresh and more whole ingredients. This spot is not a home run for me, since the first time I went my pastry was stale, and the tables are so extremely jam packed in there hard for a variety of body sizes to be comfortable and it feels cramped. Patrons were welcomed throughout the 2 hours I've been here and the staff are all efficient baristas. I had asked one of them for their recommendation and it was a great recommendation at that. (He recommend the honey lavender latter - which many other patrons ordered too) Their avocado toast was delicious, the bread nice and soft but still toasty and had many flavors to it as well. My friend and I also tried some of their new summer drinks like the ube latte with banana cream , matcha tonic, and matcha with banana cream. Such a great coffee shop! Tried the honey gingerbread latte off of their holiday menu-- got it iced with oatmilk. Hands down the best gingerbread latte I've had! You can really taste the gingerbread and all the cozy holiday spices. A lot of other shops that offer a gingerbread drink leave me wanting more. I'm already thinking of my next visit back.
