I wasn't due back a lot of change but the young woman closed the cash register door put the scone in a bag and when I asked for the change (which I was going to use to put a tip in the box) she said they don't give coin change back. The previous time I got a coffee I also had to remind the young woman I had change coming back and she did give me change. For my friend she had to go into the tip box to give her change. In the future I will pay with a credit card. Everything is getting more expensive these days. I feel a little ripped off. But will return.

What they serve here was unsweetened, so I needed to add sugar, but it was good. On the sweets side, they have cheesecake, baklava... but the dominant sweet here is Turkish Delight. They have a myriad of flavors here, using various Middle Eastern nuts and spices as flavoring. They have the traditional cubed gelatin version, along with a rolled version that is a little softer and less chewy. It is all sold by weight, so you can mix and match.

The coffee is reasonably priced, all things considered (fancy flavors, Santa Barbara, crowded location) and the flavor was nice and not one I've personally had before. I asked to go light on the ice and they did a good job there. The wait was a bit long, but we weren't in a hurry, so it was all fine. Good place to stop and relax and have a good tasting coffee.

Some folks posted pictures of their other locations under the Haley St listing by mistake. :-( We then drove to this location, which fortunately wasn't too far away. It did take a while to find parking, though. It's a small shop with limited seatings and it felt rather hot inside while waiting for our drinks. They were quite busy, and there's only one guy preparing the drinks while another person took our orders. On the other hand, it's cool and shady in the spacious outdoor seating area of Paseo Nuevo, which was right outside the store. I had a small Iced Rose Matcha Latte with 2% milk. The beetroot powder and rose petals on top looked pretty but the Matcha taste wasn't strong enough. Our daughter had a small Iced Hibiscus Tea with Lemonade, which she said was just ok. I had a sip of my husband's large iced Salted Pecan Latte with light ice and almond milk and it was a bit too sweet for me. If we're in the area earlier next time, I would rather try their other Signature drinks at their Arlington St location, which appeared to have a beautiful courtyard as well.

I think people said there is underground parking but I couldn't verify. You can order at the counter or at the kiosk. We didn't see the kiosk until after we ordered. Service was alright, about 10min wait for the drinks. Cup size is on the smaller side for the price $7. We got the matcha oat latte. I don't think you can adjust sugar level. It tasted quite sweet, but their sweetener is homemade syrup which was cool. I just wish it was less sweet cause it overshadowed the matcha.
