Closed at 8:54pm Saturday night. Why Spudnuts, why?!

It was 8:54pm, and it's Saturday night. Us and 1 other car pulled up in the parking lot. All of us looking forward to having some donuts. The whole place was brightly lit up. What's that on the door? A closed sign?! WTH. Sorely disappointed. Ugh!

I came in on a blustery, rainy day. I originally was going to go to Starbucks to meet a friend, but they were closed due to the severe weather. As I waited for my friend, I glanced at the menu, and the turkey and cheese sandwich stood out. I ordered the sandwich, and the employee took his time, toasting the bread and crafting a perfect looking sandwich. After he carefully wrapped it, he placed it in the bag and put napkins in there- which I really appreciate because some restaurants have the habit of never placing a single napkin inside and you mistakenly assume there are napkins in there. Anyway, I decided to enjoy my sandwich by the window as I watched the rain come down. As I waited for my friend, I enjoyed this delicious sandwich for a good price. My friend arrived, and I convinced her to get a sandwich which she agreed to because she hadn't eaten lunch. We both enjoyed those sandwiches and then we both bought a cup of noodles. And then I ordered a dozen donut holes. It was a wonderful conversation, wonderful meal, and wonderful service. There were many people that came in and out of the restaurant on that cold day. I am coming back.

Come here for your donut and bagel needs! They have a wide selection of donuts and your typical plain, jalapeño and cheese, and everything bagel that are decently sized and fluffy and good. Not chewy or hard like other places. The cream cheese requested along with it is creamy and delicious. Their ham and cheese croissant are a quick grab to go sandwich for a meal. They carry a vast array of donuts and are decently priced especially if ordering for a group. The staff is kind, nice and accommodating.

Every time come in at 6 am the older lady never greets me yet greets everyone else she over charges for drinks all of them are a large coffee falste advertisement. She serves others before me even though i had already been there first and waiting. Today on july 14 at 5:57am she didnt have much ready i asked for a dozen donuts she pretended not to hear me then she kept asking me which one and saud she couldnt hear me or see what i was pointing at then she just laughed and said she goin to refuse service little does she no i just worked all night and the donuts i was buying were to donate to some less fortunate people sitting out in the cold with no home

Spudnuts is one of my favorite donut spots in Santa Barbara. I always get great customer service and they offer a good variety of fresh donuts, from classic favorites to hot, new trendy pastries. This location is conveniently (for me!) located downtown and has a small area with tables if you want to enjoy your donuts there. I like strolling around State on an early Saturday before the crowds arrive.

If you are new to Mission City like me, you have got to try the Spicoli, it's literally everything you could want in a sandwich, AND they give you that extra crunch and add chips to it! Mind blown. We also tried the special and that one really needs to go on the regular menu so we can have it again! We were told the specials last about a week or two. The wait wasn't bad, the place did have a line, but I see why now! It's worth it! There wasn't a lot of parking in front, but we found out later there is a huge parking lot behind the shop.

Man, am I glad we did. I cannot get over how good the Jon Bahn Jo Mi was. The first impression was that it was heavy, so I was like OK, I'll have leftovers. Then, the big reveal, I opened the sandwich and the second impression was the fresh, fragrant smell of the herbs. Then, first bite, and the quality of the beef n tri-tip, and how all of the ingredients blended perfectly, put me in a happy dance. But wait, there's more! Bc then, the pho dip companion had so much flavor, more depth than some pho places I go to. Wow, I'll stop here anytime. Easy 5.

Not much was open which is how we ended up here. The place was super hot so we decided to order our food to go and there was a super annoying drunk guy ahead of us in line. I felt bad for the 17 yo employee stuck interacting with them. We ordered a sandwich with shrimp in it. L said it was good but the title shouldn't mention shrimp as they were super teeny tiny and basically non existent. I got the gluten free fried rice bowl with chicken spicy. It was not spicy at all, and the chicken was a bit dry, however I could taste the flavor of the chicken and the meal was bland enough that I knew I would be okay. Earlier in the day before the bowl we went to a winery and I had a headache, so this food for me last night worked especially since we picked it up to go and had it at our Air BnB.

Soup of the Day was French Onion, which is on the sweeter side, and comes with cheese and a crostini soaking up the broth. Onions are very nicely caramelized.
