Every time I pick up a prescription it's at least a 20 minute to 50 minute wait. How come you don't have more help? The people are always friendly and I know they must be stressed so I never say anything about waiting. I would give 5 stars if there was more help. There was a male customer after me and the female pharmacist with curly hair was clearly flirting with the man asking "Are you married." however the male customer only waited five minutes to get his prescription and I waited almost 40 minutes for my dogs prescription. They deserve 0 stars. You will be on hold for 20 mins minimum if you try to call, and there is a good chance they will hang up on you. I've been in the store and watched them pick up a ringing phone and immediately hang it back up. If you use their app they will simply ignore it until you call in(see above) to bring it to their attention. They will flat out lie to customers to get out of doing ANYTHING remotely boyond the absolute minimum of effort. In the current world where so many drugstores are neglected , this store is well run and well stocked, clean, and the staff are all courteous and helpful. I dont often make reviews for corporate stores but they seem to try hard. Even visiting at 10 pm the clerks are helpful. The cosmetics are clean, and its fun to shop in here. This is about their specialty pharmacy section aka Alliance RX Walgreens Prime - where RX are mailed to you. They are the worst!! Examples include: Once over billed by thousands. RX Delivered to others or simply lost. Long wait times on the phone. Calls from reps during nonbusiness hrs, even weekends... and when you call back you are told the office is closed and you are asked to leave a message. What can be improved? Everything! read more

This is the most horrible pharmacy I have ever been to! I am so sorry that Rite Aid has closed. I just had a knee replacement and every time I have gone to get my pain pill prescription filled. They always delay filling the prescription for up to four days and I am left in complete pain! They also shortchange me on my pain pill medication each time. They do not feel the prescription the way my surgeon orders it! Do not go here! read more

The only reason I have continued to go to this pharmacy is because they almost always have my meds in stock - and there is one woman (only one!) who works the counter who is very sweet and always remembers me. Other than that, this is by far the worst pharmacy I have ever been to! It takes me DAYS to get my prescriptions filled and I've sat for 45 minutes at the drive up window, with several people behind me, waiting for the pharmacist to sign off on my meds! This was the worst by far: I was trying to fill my daughter's Adderall prescription, which was sent in on April 12th and should have been ready right away. For days I was repeatedly told either it wasn't ready, or it couldn't be filled until the 18th (6 days past the fill date) because I had picked up her last prescription on March 20th. I assured them that was incorrect and was told to come back the next day. On April 15th the pharmacist (the tall man with a beard and glasses), who is just the nastiest man, INSISTED I filled her prescription last month on the 20th and that their system is never wrong! I told him that wasn't possible because she had been out of her meds for 2 days (which is a big deal)! He then made some grand gesture saying fine, he would do me a favor and fill them early THIS TIME. He then proceeded to lecture me on being careful with these meds and taking too many, etc. - insinuating that I or my daughter was either incompetent or a drug seeker! I was adamant that we are meticulous with her meds as she's been taking them for 8 years! He then said "You can continue to argue with me and I won't fill anything!" She needed her meds so I left. When I picked them up later I briefly told the guy working the register what happened and then I tried to SHOW him a copy of my credit card receipt from the 14th - the only way I ever pay - and that I purchased nothing on or around the 20th! I also tried to show him a picture I had taken on March 14th of her meds (in their bags with the receipt stapled to it) that I submit for help with her medical bills. The picture is time stamped and dated and cannot be altered. I also had her old prescription bottle. I was told he would look into it, he took my name and number and I never heard another thing! Clearly they have a serious problem with their system! How many other people has this happened to? And this pharmacist, as well as most of the staff, is rude and impatient and makes you feel like you're wasting their time! I'm going back in there and I'm getting an apology! Then I'm switching my prescriptions to anywhere else because this place is just not worth it, for any reason!! read more

I can't believe the rating for this Walgreens is 2 stars?! This place is a mess. Disorganized and staff are uncaring. Had to pick up a prescription for my 89-year-old dad on Sunday and when I got to the window I was told that they didn't have it. No explanation just a person shrugging her shoulders. She told me it was picked up. Really? Because my dad doesn't drive and he doesn't have it. She has no clue where his medicine is or was or anything. Just a "oh well." How do you have a job. Seriously. Finally, I'm told it was out for delivery the day before. Two days later, my dad still doesn't have his medicine. They can't even deliver it to his door that day. The woman at the prescription pick-up window was of no help but if she took a minute she would've found his medicine was in the wrong bin. Maybe a little more caring and a little less incompetence. I'm disappointed with this location given how well the Walgreens in my hometown treated me. Given the choice I will go to any other pharmacy in the area for immunizations in the future. I booked an appointment for an immunization at 4:30 PM on a Monday and arrived a few minutes early to check in, being told I'd be given forms to sign a few minutes later. I was promptly forgotten for the next 35 minutes until I got up to complain about the wait and was handed forms immediately when I asked. It took until 5:20, 50 minutes on, to get my immunization. I do have to add one star for my pharmacist who immunized me, though -- she despite the business of the pharmacy still made time to be very warm and I would've been a lot angrier about the slow service were it not for her kind, quick professionalism that saw me out the door. read more

I've stopped at this Walgreens a few times, just for snacks and drinks and stuff, not for any prescription issues. So I can't comment on that, but in terms of being a good general/health store I'm perfectly happy. The building looks pretty new, and is clean and well stocked. It's not far from the 101 and has ample parking. Snack and drinks selection is very good and the staff at the front counter have always been polite and professional to me. There are some businesses (even across the street) that are slightly easier to get in and out of, from a traffic standpoint, but Walgreens is fine. Nothing too bad. I'd come here any time. read more

First, I will say, Matthew gets 5 stars for his willingness to help. Basically, my doc ordered a med for me, but it only came in two strengths. Matthew agreed to call my doc, and said they would call me when it was ready. Three week latter, this is what I get! I was told that my doc never responded. Naturally I called my doc, and his receptionist said they indeed called. She then called yet a second time. The incompetent person who took the call told the receptionist that they didn't feel comfortable telling me that the med cost $1500 out of pocket, and that insurance doesn't cover the medication. I understand her concern, if that's what it truly was. HOWEVER, that was not her call! Totally unacceptable, totally unprofessional! Thank goodness it's not a life or death medication!! read more

This pharmacy is horrible. We waited 45 minutes in the drive-thru line just to be told that the prescription wasn't ready. The doctor called it in last week and they never processed it. The tech was saying things about it being a 90 day supply but switched to 30.. irrelevant. Nobody needed it changed to 30. I wonder why they don't wear name tags.... She told us to come back in 45 mins.. so we did and still waiting over an hour, after another tech told us he would check, he walked away and never came back. They are chugging coffee and monster energy drinks back there and watching football on someone's iPhone. Pharmacist is walking around aimlessly and nobody answers the phone. This pharmacy is a joke. I didn't see them greet any customers waiting in line, or apologize for the wait. I work pharmacy and this place is a disgrace. The front store however is always helpful and never had any issues with the photo department. We just went to Walgreens at 4:45 PM and were turned away due to what looked like people not caring a whole lot about administering flu shots to people. Review of the Pharmacy: The reviews don't lie. I am extremely saddened by this since I'm originally from Chicago where Walgreens is from and reigns on every corner. Here in Santa Barbara, the locals say that it is a town for "newlyweds and the nearly dead." Well every pharmacy in town proves the latter. All pharmacies are packed with lines, waits and confusion which is annoying and anxiety provoking. This Walgreens in particular always has a minimum of a 10 minute wait no matter what time or day you come. Thankfully the staff remains friendly but appears stressed and overworked. It is rarely a pleasant experience particularly when you have a question for the pharmacist or if your prescription is not ready and requires you to return. I plan to switch pharmacies and go on the hunt for a new one--even though their app for refills is quite convenient. read more

Staff here is usually disinterested in their customers. No greetings when you go in and walk right past them. (Guys it only takes a minute to say Hello and welcome) The prices are competitive, they have a good verity of gift cards. The pharmacy is a bit slow some days and you can tell they have a high customer count who forget they are human too. I had a prescription sent there. I got a text it was delayed and they would let me know when it was in and ready. The next day i got a text that it was ready and i could view the price. I had gotten this prescription two years ago. The price was so expensive that i called. I was told to bring my insurance cards when i came to get it and they would check it out. They not only had no record of me getting this prescription there but they also didn't have it in. No apology...nothing. I even brought the box showing that i had gotten it there before. I love when employees make the minority feel invisible. Case in point with my experience this morning when The cashier Lily skipped over me in line to help a Caucasian lady instead of taking me and my daughters who waited patiently in line while the other cashier had computer problems. Lily calls out to people in both Linex that she will take the next customer in line. She helps a lady who was in front of me at the register that was having issues. Right after, Lily then helps the lady standing behind me and totally skipped over and made both me and my kids feel like we were non-existent. Awesome job Lily... because of you, I'll never step foot in this store. I'm sure that suits you just fine since that's consistent with the racist attitude and pure lack of customer service skills. my prescription was sent in at 11:05 am, i called multiple times 2 hours later and asked them to check the voicemails to make sure they did receive my script and they said they are sure they checked and they do not have it. The nurse specifically stated it should be there and even called the pharmacy again which then they said they haven't checked the voicemail unlike what the first guy told me. the pharmacy gave me a new time i should check in by and i called after that time and my prescription is still not ready. she even gave me attitude when i said i need it sooner and said yes we are going to check it now. apparently not. called again the automated system said there was no prescription under my number. called again and talked to an actual person and he didnt see it then asked what i was picking up. then said it will be ready by 4pm MAYBE. 3 hours after i was told it would have been processed and ready. had to tell him i was told it would have been ready by 1 for him to expedite it. terrible service would not recommend driving two hours to the nearest kaiser would have been faster. service at the store is not any better. every customer is visibly impatient and has waited well beyond a reasonable amount of time. came past the time they said it would be ready and my pick up was still not ready. read more

Extremely disappointed. I turned it paper prescriptions to them and was told they would be ready later that day. Later that day comes around and when I go to pick up my prescriptions they say they actually don't accept my insurance and the best part- that they lost my prescriptions. This review is for the pharmacy. I've had the exact opposite experience compared to all the other reviewers. When I didn't know my insurance information for the pharmacy, the pharmacist helped and made a few calls. When they were supposed to be closed, she checked me out at the cosmetics department. And every time since, when I've gone to pick up my medications I haven't waited at all and they've always been ready. Maybe I'm just lucky, but in my experience they have gone above and beyond to make sure I've gotten my medications on time. Tip: it's much faster to go into the store instead of waiting in the drive thru. read more
