This 7-11 does not sell beer/alcohol. We stopped by after going to a local bar to grab some beer for home and wandered around the store for a few minutes before the clerk asked if we need help. He the told us that it was "not that kind of 7-11" and directed us to the one off of Wendy. They also didn't have any of their hot food out, so I think they close up pretty early. read more

I never thought I'd review a gas station but here we are. Why is it impossible to pay at the pump??? I tried to tap with my phone and card at two different pumps and it would not go through. I put my card in the machine and it told me to remove quickly (just like normal) and then put my pin in. After I put my pin in every time it canceled the transaction and told me to leave the card in because a chip was detected. I had to wait an extended period of time for the screen to reset and then put my card in again. The first pump would not register it and the second pump only registered it after the 3rd try. Fix your system, it should not be this hard to get gas! read more

Never thought I'd review a 7/11 but this was the worst one I've ever visited. The toilet was literally covered in shit, no soap, and they charged $9 for a bag of candy which was labeled $4.38. Amazing that something as simple as a convenience store could be so bad. read more

This is a review about the 7-Eleven on Hillcrest in Newbury park, CA. I am completely shocked at what was the RUDEST owner of ANY business ANYWHERE I have EVER been. The owner watched my EVERY move, Questioned how much coffee I put in my Large size cup and when I mentioned with a KIND patient smile 2 pots were empty he walked away strongly negatively mumbling under his breath. It was the most Uncalled-for retail experience Ever! No customer service here just total discomfort. Perhaps stay away from this business. Note: his employees appeared wornout & unhappy... This is the worst gas station ever. I needed to put air in my tires, but the machines was NOT working, but it still charged my credit card 4 times. So I went inside to complain, and the clerk would NOT help me. He totally ignored me the whole time. So I just left. So I went to across the street to USA Gas and they let me use the air for free. read more

Just wanted to thank the gentlemen working at 7-11 at around 11 pm. Several times I have stopped by to get gas (lowest in the area according to my brother) and go inside to get a refreshment. These hard working guys actually hose down the entire lot and wash all of the grime and muck away. I am very impressed by the cleanliness and the professionalism displayed by the workers. They have won my business. I wish that the stores down the road that contain the Habit, Presto Pasta, Tutti Frutti, etc. would hire these guys or hire ANYONE to wash down their sidewalks. This is Thousand Oaks. Standards are high. The guys at 7-11 meet and exceed those standards. Well done, gentlemen! read more

Oh 7-11...always there for the late night munchies when I'm at work, especially when I work them vampire shifts. Yeah sure, the food isn't the best and I do occasionally break the cardinal rule of convenience stores: "Don't eat the hotdog." But we're here often enough that Sagara (who is ALWAYS there) is honest enough to tell us if it's fit for human consumption or not. Plus, having a spicy bite with some Takes and a Rockstar to wash it all down is my ideal work snack. (I hope this doesn't ruin my Yelp credibility lol) Anyway, what else can you say about a 7-11? Simply put, it's the one (legal) place your guilty pleasures are satisfied at wee hours of the night. Note: if the doors are locked, Sagara's probably taking a dump. Having to tell this story again makes me laugh so hard because people think I made it up, but I have the parties involved that will vouch for this story. So, I used to work graveyard at THP, which means that my lunches were between 4-5am. What's open around this time? We had Del Taco, Ralph's, and the recently opened (c. 2003) Citgo/7-11. I started going to 7-11 with my friends Marc and Montoya to get hooked up on my boxing magazines, hot dogs, and large slurpee. Now the latter looks like a loveable bear that you would want to hug. I guess the front desk clerk happened to take notice to this mass of teddy bear love. We always wondered why this man was always smiling at Montoya when he came inside. One morning, this man must have mustered enough courage to talk to all of us in more depth. He started asking Montoya a lot of questions and he started to make him a bit nervous. This accrued over the course of several weeknights. I think it got to a point where he feared going into the place and he'd make us order his chili dogs and slurpees. The climax was one night when Montoya thought it'd be alright to step back inside, it was the night he would never forget... This man was asking us out loud if we liked to watch "the nekkid ladies". After that, he proceeded to walk a little bit closer to Montoya and massage his back. It was pretty creepy. He asked Montoya how much he liked the "nekkid ladies" and if he also watched the "nekkid men" too. Montoya said no. He then said that he wanted to make my friend a star! But what kind of star ... ? The man offers Montoya $5,000 to star in a porn movie with him. Montoya let out this hilarious girly scream and the man gave him this sick wink. I was like, "holy sh*t, Montoya got some action!" Suffice to say, we ran out of the 7-11 and never came back. I wonder if that man ever found his co-star? read more

one of the workers tried to take a dollar out of my change and when i asked for a receipt he immediately handed me a dollar with it. then when returning home not only had he tried to steal a dollar he charged me for an extra pack of cigarettes and when i called to speak with the manager he said at first the manager wasn't there, and then knew exactly what i was talking about that "he made a mistake" charging an extra pack. then he told me was the manager. this 7/11 has some serious employee issues. stealing from the customers and then not even lying about it well. at least do my the curtesy of not insulting my intelligence and try to lie a little better about the scam you have going. read more

I had a good experience with the cashier because he accommodated me well. He just needs to work on personable customer service quite a bit.. I did notice he might've seemed stressed due to it being 4 am and he has a lot on him being the one employee on at the time. He was taking out the trash along with cleaning juggling tons of duties that needed to be done. I respect that because I'm a waitress and I understand the difficulty of late night staying till 3am. Though, that's no excuse to show your customers your personal emotions regardless of the issue. All and all, I respect this work ethic.
