Pulling up, I quickly noticed a nice, covered seating area, conveniently located right outside the entrance. Upon entry, I observed a fair number of patrons quietly relaxing and going about their business. After sharing a few quick glances from onlookers, I proceeded to the ordering area. The sweet young lady from behind the counter directed me to the menu. There was a nice selection of hot and cold drinks, as well as, a few bites to satisfy any minor hunger pangs. After hinting to my knowledgable hostess for any culinary crowd favourites, she instinctively pointed out the breakfast burrito. So, I selected the burrito, a tall, cool raspberry tea, and a double-shot of espresso. My coffee was ready first, quickly succeeded by my burrito and tea a few minutes later. The espresso was strong, yet possessed a smooth texture, while my tea was cool and refreshing, having a subtle berry hint of flavour that touched the back of the palate. I was hoping it could have been a tad stronger but, for having no caffeine, it was fine. My breakfast burrito was hearty, juicy, and well seasoned, as it was stuffed with scrambled egg, chopped spinach, cheese, and cubed potatoes snuggled in a nice green wrap. The accompanying side of salsa provided a sweet and tangy note to brighten this, already well-balanced, nosh. The seating area was clean, while the tables were all well kept. If you are looking to find a quiet place to read, work, of just chill with a great cup of joe, look no further. This place is great as it's nestled in a great location with plenty of parking. Enjoy! Cheers !

What makes it worse is that the apparent double standard isn't even subtle...they don't seem to make much of an effort to hide it. Everyone deserves to be treated with the same basic level of dignity and respect, regardless of race or appearance. I left feeling extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome, and I would not recommend this business based on my experience. UPDATE: The shop replied that its staff are multicultural and multilingual. While that may be true, it doesn't address the concern I raised. Based on what I personally observed, the apparent acceptance seems conditional...people from different ethnic backgrounds appear to be welcomed when they are workers or perceived as being in a subordinate position. However, when people from those same backgrounds are seen as customers or individuals of equal or higher status, the treatment seems noticeably different and, at times, hostile. That distinction is deeply concerning and only reinforces the impression I left with.

I found this spot online and headed over and Im glad I did. From the moment I walked in I was greeted by the owners, husband and wife team who immediately made me feel welcome. They were eager to walk me through the menu, offered great suggestions, and were incredibly patient while my brain was still waking up at 9am lol. Their kindness and humor made me feel right at home. This place also feels homey. If you take a moment to look around, you'll notice the personal touches such as the artwork, photos, and thoughtful details that tell a story of their family. Okay Now to get to the good stuff the drinks and bites are stellar, here's what I got: I finally found a seriously addicting chai here in the 805. I'm very picky about chai, so when Robin insisted "you're trying this" so I listened and I'm so glad I did haha. Freshly brewed, no artificial flavors, perfectly spiced. I think I would dub this one of the BEST chai's I've ever had. 10/10. Their classic breakfast bites hit the spot too. I had a breakfast sandwich with crispy bacon and a fresh egg. Simple but good. I'd get this again but also would be open to trying some of their other bites. 8/10. The handmade bakery section here was unreal. The apple pastry I ordered was pure nostalgia and absolutely delicious. I can't wait to come back and try more of their daily baked goods. The selection was huge and lots of different options to try. I think their passionfruit pastry will be calling my name next time. Lastly I leave you with a Fun fact: if you're a football fan or into chess, this is your cafe. Chess tables are available for playing at and it's the perfect morning spot to catch matches over coffee and pastries. Liverpool fans especially welcome here ;) Sorry it took me so long to find this spot but they've got a new fan now!

This isn't the trendy, brightly lit coffee shop that's designed for Instagram. Instead, it's a cozy little café where every drink feels like it was made with heart. As a family-owned bakery and coffee shop, they offer a delicious selection of freshly baked pastries, bagels, and cinnamon rolls that make it hard to choose just one. I ordered the vanilla latte with oat milk, and it did not disappoint. Their house-made vanilla syrup gave the latte a rich, creamy flavor that was absolutely delicious. While I was there, Mayra had just pulled a fresh batch of matcha cinnamon rolls out of the oven, and I'm so glad I gave one a try--it was warm, soft, and incredible. Located directly across the street from Basta and Honey Cup, La Cereza is easy to miss if you aren't looking for it. Don't sleep on this little café--you'll leave wondering why you didn't stop in sooner.

I was hoping to add this place to my rotation of local breakfast hangout spots that I patronize. In the dining room, they were streaming some pulsating hyperpop music laden with heavy explicit lyrics. Totally inappropriate. Not the type of vibe I'm looking for at 7:30 in the morning. Ordered the sausage breakfast burrito. The burrito was heavy on the breakfast potatoes, it took up more than half of the burrito. Unfortunately, the potatoes were all undercooked which made them CRUNCHY and unbearably BLAND. The amount of thin breakfast sausage slices inside was small relative to the entirety of the burrito. The scrambled eggs with cheese inside were very good! It came with a small cup of salsa which was excellent, unfortunately the cup was only half filled. It was not nearly enough as the burrito was so bland because of the large amount of undercooked potatoes. I could have easily used two or three cups of salsa to give it taste. I'll be willing to give them a second chance in a few weeks, I'm curious to see if my experience will be better as I am hoping that today was just an aberration.

The location makes it easy to grab coffee and breakfast without having to go far, and the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming. The pastries were surprisingly amazing and definitely a highlight. I also ordered a latte, which was smooth, creamy, and well made. That said, the quality and convenience make it a solid choice, particularly for hotel guests.
