Best service in every area! I've always been taken care of with both the products and especially their customer service! I lost my phone in the store yesterday, and once I asked for help it seemed like I was surrounded by Superheroes! MICHELLE was so quick to help and keep me calm. She retraced my steps by what groceries were in my cart, Another cashier was actually searching the trash looking for it, I was so happy to see MICHELLE running back to me waving my phone with her hand!! Such helpful and caring people in this Trader Joe's!! I'm thankful we have such a great team and store right here in Newbury Park. read more

They have stopped supplying 100% Grass-fed milk, otherwise, the market is friendly and has adequate supply of cost savings .

They started putting ALL the grapes on an unrefrigerated island & not far from the front door, so not being kept cool at all & as a bonus, heat from the outside comes in near them... When I first noticed this I was very suspicious the arrangement would go OK & sure enough... Bought red grapes yesterday, from a glance they looked ok... kept them in an insulated bag on the way home & refrigerated immediately. Today I opened up the container & noticed they're already growing MOLD & going bad. Totally not OK. read more

Staff at Trader Joe's are usually friendly but at this TJ's they are especially warm and hospitable. Friendless and respect goes a long way and it's a real good vibe in here. Rude employee laughed at my disabled mom with another person then got closer to laugh at her again and tell her "theyre all the same" when she was reaching trying to get a loaf of sourdough, he said after the first time "theyre all the same, the dates" she on the verge of tears from embarrassment says "im not looking at the dates, i like the darker loafs", how dare he try and ridicule anyone for anything let alone a struggling woman instead of him offering help, he mocks her with another person.. pathetic little man you are! read more

Most all Trader Joe's are awesome, but I do love my neighborhood TJ. Local folks working hard, keeping the shelves stocked & store organized. Feels like the store is a version of Cheers without the drinking. Best flowers, always great selections (unless items are seasonal & run out quickly), and best prices for quality foods. read more

Play love of the Trader Joe's location. They're always pretty well stocked with plenty of employees to help. On the occasion that I returned things, they have always been gracious and accommodating. This is a smaller location than some, but I think it's well organized. The layout of other Trader Joe's doesn't make sense to me. I I have staple items I love to get from Trader Joe's and as long as you're not going when the high school is getting out then this is a great location to visit read more

Average Trader Joes, I only go here a few times a year when I am in the area. Employees are pleasant and store has a decent layout, but I have to take away a star since unfortunately I've bought a couple of things that turned out to be already spoiled when I got home. I'm a huge fan of Trader Joe's, and the one in NP never fails me. Great crew, fresh produce and dairy and all the other foods hubby loves. I'm in the restaurant industry so the holidays can feel more like a marathon to survive than a time to enjoy, but today the particular crew member who was my cashier was so cheerful he helped turn my feelings around. This is a smallish Trader Joe's tucked away in an awkward sort of strip mall. There isn't a lot going on in this part of town, so it's nice to have a TJ's available for quality food choices. I stopped in to see if there was something I wanted for lunch, but after browsing for a little bit without anything really grabbing me, I walked out. The store was clean, well organized, and they had someone doing free samples of a featured product or two at the back. They have a really nice selection of organic and specialty foods. read more

Yet again, the premade food items &/ or precut veggie mixes are always spoiled when I get home to use it &/or eat it. Yes, always! Yet, according to the date, it's not expired & has a few more days. So frustrating as I rely on premade & precut items as much as possible due to hand/arm injuries. Is this happening at all Trader Joe's or just this location? What an absolute waste of money & my time! Either they are not indicating the accurate expiration dates on items or the refrigeration is not cold enough. I'm so pissed! Second morning in a row customers have been REFUSED service due to unloading inventory during business hours. There are 2 sets of doors and instead of utilizing them, they are refusing service. I work till 9pm and it's the second day I will go without lunch due to the unprofessionalism of this location. read more

My husband and I were staying in Thousand Oaks for a few weeks and this TJ's location was closest to our AirBnB. I purchased a couple of the prepackaged salads as my husband likes to take them for lunch some days. Unfortunately all the salads were bad even though the expiration date was still good. The lettuce was extremely soggy and the chicken smelled a little funky. It was disappointing since I spent over $20 on something that we had to throw away. They were also out of our favorite beer and never seemed to be stocked with any gallon water jugs. Customer service was also not as friendly as normal. read more

I really don't know what has happened to Trader Joe's customer service in Thousand Oaks or anywhere for that matter. I am starting to experience that if you don't buy bags from them during your checkout they treat you poorly. I used to enjoy shopping at Trader Joe's for the experience but since Covid-19 took place they treat their customers very bad, it is no longer a nice experience. especially if you don't purchase a bag from them. I was in their store recently and when I went to checkout the checker saw that I had my own bag and it was brand new bag. The checker asked me if it was ok that she put my groceries back in my shopping cart as she rang them up and I replied that it was fine, but after I paid her and went to put my groceries in my bag she said, oh by the way you need to bag your groceries outside. I was quite surprised that Trader Joe's make their customers bag their groceries outside if you don't buy a bag from them. I think Trader Joe's management and checkers have lost their minds! I will no longer visit Trader Joe's as a customer and they deserve to lose all their customers being that they treat customers horribly! Goodbye Trader Joe's!! read more

This location is laid out very well and easy to find items. They always have many check out lines going so it is a quick process. Customer service is also very accommodating helping me out to load groceries into the car. They are always stocked up on items so I can easily do my shopping here. The only drawback is the parking. It is sometimes hard to find a parking space. I would not recommend some of the pre packed produce because it has been sour even though it is before the sell by date. I just avoid that section. read more

I love this place, where do i start... So the little things count... I went to get some bananas as I do the proteien shake thing (which i also buy here) and i can really appreciate that they put the green ones on one stand, and the ripe ones on another... Its a small thing but its attention to details that I love about this place. The cheese selection is great for such a small store, there are ALWAYS samples, and the wine selection is massive, probably 1/4 of the store. Many things are expensive, but quality costs... The staff is ALWAYS friendly, the lines aren't more than 2-3 people long even at the busiest times, and parking is a breeze. read more

I love this Trader Joe's. Parking is never a problem, the people who work there are so helpful and nice. The wine selection and prices are hard to beat. I absolutely love every recipe I've tried from their website. They have tasty, easy to prepare food, perfect for kids and teens. The only thing I don't like is the customers who bring in their obnoxious, loud, rude kids and let them run amok while they shop. I mean I have literally been cut off, tripped, pushed, and generally enraged by these kids. I have kids. They do NOT run around the store annoying people. Robb's right - nice and roomy with plenty of selection and even featured items in the middle of the store on your way to checkout! Friendly-staff, samplings while shopping and familiar items...the ones we all have that are special to US. I picked up three new items to try: baking my own fresh croissants that all I need to do is sit out to rise and bake (from the freezer section), fully cooked edamame in the freezer section to try and mimic the tasty Togarashi appetizer served at the new Lazy Dog Cafe at The Oaks and last, par-baked panini rolls for sandwiches during the week. Fresh, fresh, fresh...that's the name of the game at TJ's all in the name of value. They also have great pizza dough that's ready to roll out and finish with your favorite toppings. Yummm Yum. The store's walls are decorated with paintings and pictures to reflect Newbury Park's history. At checkout there's even an opportunity to keep your local Panther (student, the NPHS mascot) alive by purchasing a gift card for lunch time. Definitely their eye's on the community and that's important. Store hours are 9 AM to 9 PM daily. Wishing the new NP-TJ's many happy sales and returning customers. read more

My life is so much better with a Trader Joe's in Newbury Park. The things I love most about TJs is that nothing goes on sale, and there's pretty much only one option for each item. I don't have to stand around comparing eight brands of ketchup to figure out which one I should buy. And, generally speaking, anything I pick up will be free of HFC and other yucky things that are nearly unavoidable at a normal grocery store. The staff are friendly and helpful as well! read more

I love this store. The employees are super friendly and helpful, and the prices on organic foods cannot be beat. Plus, they do offer some outside brands, such as Udi's gluten-free bread, Hansen's Sodas, etc. My must-have purchases from Trader Joe's are: -Coconut Macaroons -Dark chocolate peanut butter cups -Dried coconut pieces (only $1.99 a bag!) -Organic coconut sugar They have so many great proprietary products, I could go on and on. Really good TJs! Decent parking and (for me) a great location! Pretty much everything there is delicious! My pups love their canned dog food, and I love that I know exactly what they're eating :) The chicken tamalitos (mini chicken tamales) are to die for! I sure wish they'd bring back the chicken chile verde casserole!!! Really, that's the only bad thing with TJs: they pull things off of the shelf without notice. read more

Trader Joe's brand of Coconut Shrimp. This was horrible. Tasted like deep fried shrimp with absolutely no taste of coconut at all. Tried adding coconut. Still tasted like fried shrimp. I love Trader Joe's. You just have to learn by testing different items. Talapia is excellent. Would never buy this again and plan to return it. Our store is great for that. As I say. You don't know until you try it. This is a complete fail. read more

It is nearly impossible to find anything wrong with Trader Joe's. It is my go to grocery store, however, with plastic being under attack, with good reason mind you, not to mention a winning vote on the last ballot to charge for plastic bags at your local stores,Trader Joe's has always prided themselves in using environmentally friendly brown "paper" bags. So why is it that they've decided to get on the band wagon and charge us money for something that they clearly don't have to? People we pay for plastic bags, not paper! read more

Have been required to wait outside to get in due to covid 19 issues. Not a problem. Everything handled quickly, efficiently, and with a good attitude. Excellent store, great products and staff.
