The space is one of the highlights. There's plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, making it a great place to hang out, work, or catch up with friends. The Wi-Fi was solid, and the atmosphere felt welcoming and lively. The staff were also incredibly friendly throughout our visit. Mai specializes in Vietnamese coffee and matcha drinks, along with a selection of baked goods. My recommendation is to stick with what they do best: coffee and matcha. If you're a fan of dark roast coffee with a strong, bold flavor, you'll probably love their drinks. I tried the Banana Coffee, which was excellent and easily my favorite item of the visit. I also ordered the Mochi Mango drink, which unfortunately wasn't for me. I'd give it about a 2.5/5. The mochi texture felt off, and the mango flavor tasted more like syrup than real mango. That said, I'm comparing it to a version I've had at another boba shop that I personally enjoyed more. Overall, Mai Coffee is a great local hangout with plenty of space, reliable internet, friendly service, and strong Vietnamese coffee. I'd definitely come back for the coffee and to spend some time working or relaxing.

Came on a Saturday around 10:20 AM and there was already a good line out the door. Waited about 15…read moreminutes in line and another 10 minutes for the drinks to come out. All I can say is wow. Genuinely the most beautiful latte art I've seen in my life!!! You can tell how well they steam their milk because the consistency was perfect. The foam was stable, and the art didn't immediately dissolve or lose its shape when I picked up the cup. The barista's level of precision and control was seriously impressive , my goodnesssss The hot espresso by itself was yum too. The espresso had floral notes with hints of citrus and fruit coming through, and it's a really enjoyable cup even by itself. I also ordered the chaggachino. It was on the sweeter side for me (I don't like my drinks too sweet), but still very delicious. Creamy, rich, and comforting without completely overpowering the coffee flavors underneath. We also got the ham and cheese croissant, which was nicely warm, buttery and crisp on the outside and good proportion of cheese and ham. I visit a lot of coffee shops, so it does take quite a bit to impress me, but this place absolutely wowed me.... Between the coffee quality and the latte art, I really loved it here!! I can see why there's always a line for Nook.

The most EXPENSIVE halo-halo you'll ever see in Cali. Overly priced. A definite NO…read more Found them on Yelp, and apparently their prices have since gone up. $13 for just ice, a scoop of ube ice cream and SOME stuff inside with corn flakes. NOT AUTHENTIC nor original. It's sad that Filipinos are serving this and it's not even what it's supposed to be. Didn't even have the beans nor the other fixings to make it a true halo-halo. Only the green and red jelly, and flan. That's it. Worst of all, they blend the ice and evaporated milk with brown sugar. Not the original. I asked them if they just had original halo-halo and they said yes, so I paid. When it was done, what they gave me was brown ice inside of my halo-halo. I thought it was mixed with coffee but they said it was with brown sugar. I was like okay whatever I'll try it. It was SO OVERLY sweet. They should have left it alone and not messed with the original recipe. It was sugar on top of sugar, and was sweet on top of sweet. It was hard for me to finish it, let alone pay so much for it. There was no balance. Everything was so sweet. Customer service was also nonexistent. The people that work there don't greet at all. Didn't even say a word while we stood at the register until we opened our mouth to order. The young girls that work here don't seem to care. I asked questions and they were nonchalant about everything. Didn't really explain much, clearly I was new. My order also came out within a minute! Meaning everything was pre-made. Now I can see why there's no customers here on the weekend (Saturday). Those are always indicators of a slow business. Too expensive, no customer service, and not authentic. Will not be returning. First and LAST time. *I will do them a favor by posting a nice photo I took*

What a cute tea shop with a modern, slightly Japandi-inspired decor that makes the space feel calm…read moreand inviting. Their drinks were a pleasant surprise. The Thai tea was nicely balanced and not overly sweet, and the Jasmine tea was fragrant, thick, and perfect at 50% sweetness. The matcha latte was the best drink here for me: earthy, not sweet at all, and with a subtle nuttiness that made it so satisfying. The only miss was the strawberry taro, which leaned too sweet for my taste. Overall, a beautifully designed shop with some truly great drinks.

The price point here is just right for what you get. I was not blown away by anything I got here…read moreand would probably prefer to go elsewhere for a few extra dollars to get better quality and flavor. That said, it's good enough for a place to go when you're on somewhat of a budget. The Dubai Chocolate Frappe was a semi-let down because the advertisement photo looked like it had a lot of chocolate. When I got my order, my first reaction was..."is that it?" The first several sips lacked the chocolate flavor I was anticipating but it was a fairly decent drink. It definitely would have been better with more chocolate as advertised. The Beef Teriyaki Bowl was a generous size; again, it was good enough. The TTEK-BOKKI (Korean Spicy Rice Cake) was extremely filling especially with cheese (which was a $3 up charge). Not sure I'd get this one again if I came back because the price point and the quality just didn't match. Parking is easy and free since it's in a complex with a now abandoned Rite-Aid. Even so, I'm not completely sure I'd come back since this place is small and the setup seems so cramped. It lacked the vibe I thought it would have based on social media posts. The staff could use a bit more energy and enthusiasm like other spots that offer similar items.
