1 star to the meat dept. for their poor method of cuts, asada/flank steaks. They cut THICK and typically would place the better cut on the top of the package. Under you will find irregularities in the thickness, poor trimmings, and excessive silver lining and tendons. I've talked and sent pictures to the manager yet nothing has changed. read more

Pretty good prices, large selection of meats. Kroger brand items and also most brands you normally buy. Looks a little sketch outside but it's fine. People are friendly enough and overall it's a clean store. Price point you can't beat this compared to like Vons or Albertsons. read more

NOTE: I know there's another review for this store, but it got annoying for me and some other people who were trying to find the reviews on it because whoever made the first review, labeled/spelled it: "Food4Less" and put the wrong updated/legit address. Onto the review... I remember when this building used to be Ralph's decades ago and when it and even this current Food 4 Less used to be 24 hours. For the most part, F4L tends to have really really great deals compared to other grocery stores. I never really have had any huge problems with this store and its workers through the years and that says a lot for it to be consistently positive for so long! The lot is huge and is perfect for this store, which shares spaces with Dollar Tree, a Subway inside and a Burger King these days. It's a very clean and organized grocery store with a great variety of products to match the workers' awesome attitudes. Need liquor? They got you up front. Need to take a crap or piss? Just go to the back warehouse. I dig how they've kept the claw games from back in the days, but evolved with more awesome prizes. All in all... it gets 5 stars from me because of how it's one of the few, nostalgic markets still around that still keep up with the consistent cleanliness, organization and awesome customer service. 5.5.21 Good location on the North East Corner of Sepulveda and Vermont, right off the Harbor (110) freeway . Clean as a whistle and that's not a given thee days . Even the parking lot was clean . Well stocked, each F4L location tends to have a slightly different bias and this one had almost all my favorites . I didn't check the bathrooms, maybe next time . I wasn't aware they're supposed to give you one bag for every $20 spent, I just spent $109.00 and could have used a new bag or two as I reuse them until they're split then recycle them . It's the closest F4L so it serves its purpose. Get in, find groceries, pay, repeat lol. Service is always good; you can depend on someone to help you when needed. There were shopping carts all over the parking lot, there was trash on the floor in soy and out and to top it off the cashier took her mask off to tell me how vaccines are a government conspiracy and breathed and talked all over my groceries while she scanned. I am surprisingly fond of this place. They have great deals ($1.29 for sliced pork that wasn't overly fatty in a family pack for $12, enough to feed a small army). They have fresher and more reasonably priced produce than Albertsons and other grocery stores--every time I go to a regular grocery store their lettuce is wilted and barely inedible (and twice the price). The store is fairly clean and organized, the only thing I wish they had was a butcher--but, I understand its more cost efficient to just have someone slice it up and pack it and not have someone being there all the time--pass the buck, right? They have new sales every week, and low costs on everything else.. definitely good place to shop if you're looking to save some money on what you would buy at a regular grocery store anyways. read more

I have shopped here for yrs, the prices are great. Some of the cashiers, workers were nice. I gave a few of them cards, gifts through the years... However, the manager did not correct a problem that developed over a year ago due to his Guard Catalina, Jamie a cashier and a seemingly ill woman there who spread lies about me. So I had to leave and shop elsewhere. The overall manager was also rude, staring me down. I called Kroger in OH several times, they contacted the wrong store and did nothing to stop the problem in this one. I feel discriminated , harassed being older, heterosexual, Caucasian, Catholic, Italian, and disabled. Some of the shoppers also have bad attitudes. I respect and love all people.. Also the younger manager with the beard was rude, staring me down with anger, even in the parking lot and at the gas station. This store has bad attitudes and is very unprofessional. For the amount of people who come here, they really know how to keep a good attitude about working here however the quality of their store is sad. There's a lot to like about Food4Less. For starters, the food is actually less money. The produce and meat sections have lots of items. Parking exists. Wide aisles. The other patrons can be a bummer. There are a noteworthy amount of slow-moving people who have to camp and take a breather. They will find the one item you need and be in front of it. Lines are very long. They move faster than a comparable line at a higher end grocery, but there is that heartbreak when you head over and it's like waiting for a ride at Disneyland. I often spend more time in line than I do to locate items. Some patrons may not be able to count to 15. The lighting is also disgusting and everyone looks sick. But if you like money, I've seen some coupon clippers get a sleigh of food for $84. read more

Prices are cool or whatever but I don't want to pay less for an item if I'm going to go and have the cashier give me attitude and make me feel I'm bothering for buying something. If the cashier "guesses" the price of something because it isn't scanning and I ask to verify and after the price was verified it ended up i was going to pay more for my items if I would've stayed quiet. So by speaking up I saved my money and payed the correct price. On top of all I get all this attitude and homie is on his phone ? Check your cashiers. I only go here because it's a few blocks closer than Alberton's but if I need to do real grocery shopping, I won't bother coming here. I give them two stars for location convenience and for having $.98 paleta (fruit ice cream bars). It saves me from having to hunt down the Palatero Man! haha There is a subway and some other small store at the entrance of this Food 4 Less, and for some reason, it always smells like a dirty bathroom at some skanky bar. I don't know what it is, but it grosses me out every time i come here. It's also difficult to find stuff here. I got dizzy trying to find the half aisle of ice cream goods (Aisle 7) which was not noted on the aisle signs from the front of the store.I walked the freezer sections and almost left the store without dessert, until I broke down and decided to ask a clerk. She was especially nice though. I'll give them that. Then, I took my can of diced tomatoes and two paletas to the express lane - 15 items or LESS - only to be sandwiched by a lady ahead of me with at least 20 items and a lady behind me with 22 items. Been coming here ever since I was a baby. It is very convenient because there is also a 99 cents store right across the street and the freeway entrances are near by. My only complaint is that they need to get their act together. There are too many bums and shady characters hanging out in the parking lot. The food/groceries: Pretty much the cheapest prices around. We get most of our veggies, snacks and alcohol from here. They have a good selection of food. They have name brand and their own Kroger brands. Things are pretty easy to find because the isles are labeled. They also have good selection and prices on alcohol, probably the best around. If we don't want to deal with the crowd at Costco, we know we can come here to get bottles and beer at a good price. The registers: I honestly don't understand their layout. It worked fine when the first 3 registers were 15 items or lest. I don't know why they moved those registers to the middle part of all the registers. It just takes more time. Most of the cashiers are super friendly and do their job's efficiently to keep the long lines moving. But there are some that you can tell are super miserable. The Food 4 Less in Wilmington is better in my opinion. They actually have a carniceria and more selection than this location. Reason why I'm taking 2 stars is because I found rat poop in an energy drink I got there. Good thing I checked, but they should be on top of things like that when stocking the drinks in the fridges at the registers. read more

I don't mind driving the extra distance to shop here for certain items. You can find good deals, especially when fruits and veggies are on sale. There are also bulk items and you don't need a membership to shop here. I strongly dislike bagging my own groceries, which is my only issue. read more

The lady cleaning the floor was great, but there was a guy who was stocking who I asked if there was a manager around he goes some where and walked away . The lines were backed up and only three lanes open two were 15 or less lanes . The checkers were moving as fast as they could , but a manager should have seen they needed more lanes open and open one . I normally come at night but I was done early today so I came earlier, the night manager here keeps up on opening lanes when there is a lot of people , but whoever the manager is in the early afternoons is not doing there job . read more

I love this store. Big and open aisles. Friendly staff. Best prices you will find. My only issue in over 6 years I've been shopping there is the ladies bathroom. A gaping hole has been in the ceiling for over 6 weeks (leaking water mind you) and it's still not repaired. Furthermore, now the handicap/family (has the diaper changing station) stall is now completely shut down as well. That is way too long for the unsafe and I'm sure unsanitary conditions to remain the same and many depend on that stall being open. Very disappointed in such a slow repair. read more

My favorite local grocery store for quick essentials and fast service. This store is a little ghetto for the art hippies and snobs but feels okay to me. The prices are always low and essentials like milk/eggs/bread is always fresh. I always go through the 15 items or less line and like to use my bank debit card to pull extra cash with no ATM fee. Buying alcohol here is always great too, always a great selection and great prices. Love it. The solicitors are annoying, but they don't harass you. read more
